Fortnite Battle Royal RYZEN 3 2200g Test Stock And Overclocked

Building a Gaming PC with the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super: A Review of Fortnite Performance at 1080p and 720p

I recently had the opportunity to build a gaming PC using the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card. The system is equipped with an 8GB DDR4 RAM, a Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) kit, and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe SSD as the primary drive. I will be testing the performance of Fortnite in both 1080p and 720p resolutions at various settings to determine whether this system can handle the game smoothly.

When playing Fortnite on medium texture quality and performance set to low, everything else is turned up to high. The FPS display shows that the system is capable of handling the game well, with an average of around 60-70 FPS in most areas of the map. However, when there are multiple players engaged in combat, the frame rate can drop below 60, indicating some minor performance dips.

One aspect I noticed while playing Fortnite was the feeling of loneliness that comes with playing a competitive game alone. Unless you're part of an active squad, the experience can be quite isolating due to the vast size of the map and the requirement to constantly be on the lookout for potential opponents. However, when paired with friends who are willing to communicate and strategize, the game becomes much more enjoyable.

In terms of performance, I found that playing at 720p on medium texture quality and low performance resulted in smooth frame rates, averaging over 60 FPS. This level of performance is suitable for most gamers, especially those who may not need ultra-high settings to enjoy the game.

On the other hand, when playing at 1080p with medium texture quality set to epic, I noticed a slight difference in performance compared to the 720p setting. The frame rate was still relatively high, averaging around 50-60 FPS, but there were occasional dips below 50, especially during intense combat situations. However, these minor dips did not affect my overall experience of playing the game.

To better understand the system's capabilities, I decided to overclock both the CPU and GPU. After overclocking the CPU to 3.8 GHz and the GPU to 1600 MHz, I ran Fortnite at 1080p with the same settings used previously. While I expected some improvement in performance due to the increased clock speeds, I was surprised to find that the system's performance didn't differ significantly from the non-overclocked setup.

For those looking to build a gaming PC with similar specifications, I would recommend considering this system as an option. However, if you're looking for even smoother performance at 1080p or higher resolutions, there are certainly more powerful options available. In particular, I've been eyeing the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, which should provide better overall performance in a competitive setting.

To test the system further, I plan to run some benchmarks and tests using other games to get a better understanding of its capabilities. Specifically, I'll be testing out Fortnite at higher resolutions and with more demanding settings to see how it handles.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what's going on guys this ETA prime back here again today I'm gonna test out fortnight on the AMD risin 2200 G with the built in Vega 8 GPU now this is a $99 CPU I did a build a while ago I'll leave a link in the description we have the 2200 G everything stock GPU stock CPU stock but I am running 30 400 megahertz ddr4 Ram which makes a big difference with these ap use so pretty much this system is arisin 2200 G with the built-in Vega 8 GPU 3400 eight gigabytes ddr4 Ram I'm gonna see how well it runs for at night at the stock clocks 1080p we're also gonna test 720p at the stock clocks then I'm gonna overclock the 3.8 gigahertz on the CPU 1600 on the GPU and we're gonna see how well it does at 1080p for my settings turn pretty much everything off here except for view distance this is very important for this game you want this set to epic I also have textures on medium but everything else is sitting on low you can build one of these systems for 300 350 dollars and then later on down the road when the GPU price is dropped down you can drop a nice GPU in here and get some really stellar performance out of the CPU so I play the game about seven times now I was really intimidated getting into it but one of my buddies Zak the Ripper overruns which actually helped me out he's been training me for the last few days I think I'm getting pretty decent after making this videos I've been playing a lot more I actually enjoy the game now I'm really into the kind of corridor shooters I love overwatch but mainly I play retro games so getting into this was a little odd I ripped a couple of clips from his twitch channel he's really good man and he's very underrated like if you guys are into watching this definitely go check his channel out he streams almost every single night and if you got a free Prime subscription give it to somebody who really deserves it so like I mentioned he's been helping me learn the ins and out a fortnight I'm still nowhere near as good as he is he can just build and shoot at the same I don't know how he does I don't know if I'm ever gonna get this good but I'm definitely gonna try all right so let's get into some testing with this 2200 G stock locks on the GPU and the CPU but I am running decent Ram it's thirty four hundred megahertz ddr4 like I mentioned it makes a big difference with these ap use resolutions at 1080p I do have the view distance set on epic and the texture quality on medium everything else is on low I have my FPS listed in the top left hand corner and right beside the map also this is the built in game FPS display so as you can see it's actually handling really good you will get some frame dips when you get into some gunfire if there's a bunch of people firing at you it might drop down below 60 this is 1080p like but usually you only get one or two maybe three people shooting at you at the same time shouldn't be too bad but you will get some dips into the 50 at 1080p so I play a lot of retro games I'm not really into all the new games I do play overwatch and a few other games like that but the thing I'm struggling here with fortnight is the loneliness like unless I got a squad that wants to talk it feels very lonely because it's a huge map and you got to run around if you come across somebody hopefully you can get the drop on them before they get the drop on you but other than that I've actually been having a really good time playing this game especially when you get a squad that wants to talk and it is free the battle royale is free I know a lot of people want a PC that can run this and the 2200 G is definitely capable if you got a budget going on right now you can always upgrade the GPU later on to get even better performance in other games moving over to 720p same settings view distance on epic I have the texture quality on medium everything else on low performance is amazing with this 2200 G at stock clocks we're well over 60 fps and looks great even at 720p it's not a very graphically intensive game so it still looks great at 720 and later on down the road you can always upgrade the GPU go to 1080 I would suggest like a 1050 TI when the prices come down a little more this game will be perfectly playable at 1080p you'll get over a hundred FPS with the 1050 and this 2200 G inside you do go over 150 fps outside I'd say around 80 under extreme gunfire might drop down to the 70s but anything over 60 to me is perfectly playable now for the final test 1080p but I did overclock the CPU to 3.8 gigahertz I also have the GPU overclocked to 1600 megahertz same Ram everything else has stayed the same we're gonna test out 1080p with the overclocked settings I don't notice much of a difference at all with this overclock I have tested some games with this Rison when I overclocked the GPU the game just played a lot smoother it's not really helping out too much in fortnight so I'd say the best fat if you go with the 2200 G definitely run in 720p if you can deal with the dips and stuff like that at 1080 you could run it but in a competitive game like this I'd say 720 at a smooth frame rate is much better than dipping on down so yeah for a 300 to $350 Brig depending on the case and power supply you can definitely run for at night and have a good time playing it mostly at 720p but 1080 is also doable with the 2200 G and like I mentioned you can always upgrade the GPU down the road I do have a 1050 Ti that I want to test out with this game I'm sure we're gonna get over 200 FPS on epic with this 2200 G CPU you can always go out and source use parts and build a PC that's gonna be more powerful than this but I know a lot of people don't want to deal with you know Craigslist and other apps like that to get their used equipment so that's it for this video guys I really appreciate you watching I had a lot of people asking me about this since I built this PC if you're interested in seeing the steps that I took to do this I'll leave a link in the description I had a lot of people ask me to test this out on the 2200 G I also owned these 2400 G I'm gonna do some tests on that I'm really enjoying playing this game even though I'm really into retro stuff I've been wanting to get into a newer game and this is really fun as long as you got some friends to play if you could hit that like button subscribe if you have any requests at all let me know in the comments below also I'm gonna leave a link to Zack the rippers twitch go ahead and check him out like I mentioned if you got a free Prime subscription every month give it to somebody who deserves it like always thanks for watchinghey what's going on guys this ETA prime back here again today I'm gonna test out fortnight on the AMD risin 2200 G with
