**The Build**
The goal for this build was to achieve decent 1080p gaming performance on a budget of $700. We managed to stay under that price point, which is always a challenge. The components used in this build are as follows: CPU - Ryzen 3 3100; GPU - Radeon RX 470 4 GB; RAM - G-Skill Rip Jaws 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL 16; Motherboard - Gigabyte DS3H-7499; Power Supply - EVGA 450W 80+ W3 44.99; SSD - Team Group MP33 256 GB NVMe 36.99; Case - DIY PC A9 Mid Tower 38.99; Monitor - Scepter 75 Hz 24" 1080p Monitor 120; Keyboard, Mouse, and Headset.
**The Original Build**
The original build started off with an ATC HX210 Micro ATX tower, which seemed like a good case for the price at first glance. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The GPU would heat up to 90°C within minutes of stress testing, despite having a front fan blowing directly on it. Additionally, the way the front fans were mounted outside the case and sandwiched between the front panel caused them to rub against each other, resulting in reduced airflow and increased temperatures.
**The Rebuild**
I was forced to remount the fans inside the case and rebuild the system in a mid-tower case, which didn't cost much more than the original budget-friendly option. While I won't make a video dedicated solely to this case just yet, it's clear that some cases are better suited for certain components.
**The Benchmarks**
With everything running on optimized medium to high settings, the system delivered impressive results in terms of performance and value for money. The lowest average frame rate recorded by any game tested was 91.8 FPS, which is plenty sufficient given that the paired monitor has a 75 Hz refresh rate. I've always believed that four-core eight-thread CPUs are still perfectly capable for gaming, and this build reinforced that notion.
The system also performed well in other applications like Cinebench, showcasing its capabilities even with stock settings. However, there were some minor components added to the build to make it more suitable for use. These included a Wraith Prism cooler, RGB fans, and a Wi-Fi card, all of which helped improve performance without requiring any overclocking.
**The Verdict**
Overall, I'm pleased with how this build turned out, especially considering its budget-friendly price point. While some might argue that a more expensive system would offer better performance or features, I believe this build demonstrates that you can get a decent gaming PC for under $700. The keyboard, monitor, and headset combo was also a pleasant surprise, offering impressive value for the price.

it made the gpu sit so low in the case that it couldn't breathe despite having a front fan blowing right on it and any rx 470 gpu that i put in the system would jump to 90c and stress testing within minutes and the way you mount the front fans to the outside of the case then sandwich the front panel on top of them made the fans i chose rub no matter what this caused me to remount the fans back inside kind of frustrating i had to ditch the case and rebuild in a mid tower and the budget targeted diy pc a9 didn't cost much more but man what a difference i might make a video dedicated to this case so let me know if it's something you guys want to see anyways let's get to the benchmarks with everything running in optimized medium to high depending on the game this system definitely still manages to impress the rx 470 is just so damn good for the money in a budget system the lowest average fps any of the games tested got was 91.8 and since the paired monitor is a 75hz display that's plenty fine i've always felt that four core eight thread cpus are still plenty fine for gaming and this kind of reinforced that but the cinebench scores this thing was getting was super impressive compared to 4 core hyper threaded cpus of years past zen 2 is just so good but for the rest of the stuff this keyboard monitor and headset combo for only 30 bucks is actually kind of impressive too sure it's a membrane keyboard but for leds and a gamma-ray look to all the pieces it's not bad the mouse is actually kind of nice though and has adjustable dpi i do want to add since this is being gifted to an acquaintance's daughter i reach into some of my own stuff to add a wraith prism cooler some rgb fans and a wi-fi card to the build and as i also decided against overclocking it so the benchmarks are all stock so what do you guys think like to build think under 700 all in for a full setup like this isn't bad let me know let me know down in the comments below we always have more
