**First Look and Unboxing: Motorola Moto Z Play**
We have in our hands the Motorola Moto Z Play, a device that promises to deliver a premium Android experience with its sleek design and feature-packed hardware. The Moto Z Play is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset, an octacore processor based on the ARM Cortex A53 architecture. This means that we can expect smooth performance and efficient battery life.
**Camera Capabilities**
One of the standout features of the Moto Z Play is its camera system. The device comes equipped with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera featuring a laser autofocus system, which promises to deliver high-quality images even in low-light conditions. Additionally, we have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual-tone flash for improved photography capabilities. We also have a fingerprint sensor and NFC support, making it convenient for biometric authentication and mobile payments.
**Display and Battery**
The Moto Z Play features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with adaptive brightness, which adjusts the screen's brightness based on the surrounding lighting conditions. This ensures that the device remains easy on the eyes in various environments. In terms of battery life, we have a 3100mAh battery, which is relatively compact considering the device's size. We also support Moto Mods, which are optional accessories that can be easily attached to the back of the device.
**Motorola Mods**
The Moto Z Play is designed to work seamlessly with Motorola Mods, which are modular accessories that can enhance the device's functionality and features. The mods are designed to be easily attached to the back of the device using a magnetic connection, allowing users to customize their experience without needing to purchase an entirely new device.
**Software and Storage**
The Moto Z Play runs on Android 6.0.1 ( Marshmallow), which is relatively old compared to some other devices on the market. However, Motorola has promised that this device will receive the Android 7 update soon, bringing with it a range of new features and improvements. As for storage, we have 32GB of internal storage, out of which approximately 23.8 GB is available. This is quite generous, considering the amount of storage we typically need on our devices.
**Gaming Performance**
The Moto Z Play's performance in gaming is an area worth noting, given its Snapdragon 625 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU. While it may not be able to handle the most demanding games at high graphics settings, we can expect smooth performance and decent frame rates in more casual games.
**Fingerprint Scanner**
We were able to test the fingerprint scanner on the Moto Z Play, and it performed admirably. The scanner is fast and accurate, making it convenient for biometric authentication.
**Camera Performance (Initial Findings)**
While we have taken some initial snaps with the device's camera, we must admit that the results are a bit inconsistent. One of the snaps was out of focus, despite using the tap-to-focus feature. However, another snap turned out to be quite nice, and we're eager to test the camera performance further in various lighting conditions.
**Conclusion**
The Motorola Moto Z Play is an attractive device with a range of innovative features, including its modular design and advanced camera system. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of some other devices on the market, it promises to deliver a premium Android experience at an affordable price point. We'll continue to test the device further to see how well it performs in various areas, but for now, we're excited about its potential as a mid-range flagship device.
**Additional Features**
We also have a front-facing LED flash on this device and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera which I've just set up. The Moto Z Play also has NFC support and supports microSD cards to expand storage capacity.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit and in this uh video we'll be doing the unboxing and we'll have a look at this Moto Z play and uh this is the more affordable version of the Modo Z it's uh there is another premium version of the Modo z uh this is the play variant and this one also supports Moto mod and this is a review un it guys so it was already opened uh but the interesting thing that I have noticed is that if you uh see here it says that it's made in IND and it's uh made in the Tamil Nadu state so this is a Made in India product so nice to see that uh specifies that it supports Moto mods it says it has uh battery life up to 45 hours it has a 3,510 mAh battery a 16 mapix rear facing camera and 32 GB of onboard storage and U it is compatible with different Moto mods but those are sort of expensive as of now I don't have any Moto mods uh so this is the device itself that we get and uh this is sporting a 5.5 in screen we'll uh come back to this device later on let's see what else do we get in the box so we have another thing that says Modo xplay let's try to open this up and see what else do we get in this uh so just a bunch of uh paperwork Moller warrranty uh safety and Regulatory guide uh this is the SAR values on head it is 1 .14 it says and body is 1.37 one of these case I think so this just kept uh by default it should not be there but as I told you this is a revie unit so they might have just kept it so you can just put it like this and as you can see uh it gives so that's the thing with this Moto mods uh apart from that we also get a headset uh it looks a very cheap F I would say uh and regarding the pricing this uh Moto Z play will be sold in India for rupees uh 25,000 and it'll be sold bya flip cart from 18th October I'll have the link in the show notes for your reference so we are getting the Moto turbo charger uh this is a fast charger so this device supports fast charging and it has a USB type-c adapter so let me keep these things to the side and let's look at the handset itself so this is the Modo uh Z play that we have and it's putting a 5.5 in screen and it's AMOLED screen 1080p let me give you a physical view first uh we have the uh SIM tray over here again this the version that is sold in India is a dual SIM model uh we also have a secondary noise cancellation microphone and this is a metallic uh so feels good uh here we have the volume rockers and the power on of pattern uh weird uh placement I would say uh but yeah that's what it is and on the bottom we have the 3.5 mm headphone jack uh USB type-c port that that we are getting and uh on this end we have nothing uh the back as you can see is again glass Motorola logo and again the we have this uh 16 mapix camera it also has laser autof focusing system and a dual tone Flash and this is for the Moto mods again um we have different mods but they are uh pretty expensive we also have a front-facing LED flash uh and a uh what do you say 5 megap front-facing camera and we also have a fingerprint sensor so let me just boot this up now and by the time it actually boots up and I set it up let me give you a configuration overview this Modo zplay is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset which is a octacore processor based on the arm cortex a53 architecture moving to the camera it has a 16 mapix rear-facing camera with laser autofocus system and a 5 map front-facing camera also has a fingerprint scanner and NFC support and moving to the battery it has a 3,5 10 mAh battery and it also supports Moto mods and I've just finished setting up this uh device and it puts AMOLED screen so that's a good thing I would say and uh again typical Motorola close to stock I would say uh apart from Motorola specific apps like the Moto and we also have that Moto mods thing let me reduce the brightness a little bit uh as you can see the Moto and the Moto mod thing uh but apart from that it is very close to stock uh Android that you get let's look at the settings and one thing to not is that though it is having a 5.5 in screen and a 3510 mAh battery the handset does not feel that heavy I thought it would be really heavy but it's not heavy uh so the weight balance is very well done on this device and to be frank it feels uh uh pretty premium uh because of the looks but again it is having this glass back uh Motorola says it has Gorilla Glass prodection uh but again I'm not a big fan of devices having the glass as back anyways uh we also have this color mode so you can adjust it let's just go back uh regarding display and it has adaptive brightness that means it has uh auto brightness sensor let's look to at the about and uh as you can see it's running on the Android version 6.0.1 but Motorola has promised that this device will be getting the Android in that is Android 7 update uh soon uh so that is it let's look at the storage how much do we get out of that 32 GB so here is the storage and out of that 32 GB you get 23.8 5 GB of space that is available but this device does support micro SD card uh so you can add that uh so that's regarding storage and uh again U it's running on the Snapdragon uh 625 uh chip Set uh so I will have to test how well it does in gaming because it has the adreno 56 GPU uh so again very stock Android experi as of now it's fluid I would say uh and let's also check the fingerprint scanner I have already set that up let's try to use that and again as you can see it was very fast the moment you touch it is registering but again this does not do anything else it doesn't take you to home this is just purely for the fingerprint uh so in terms of looks I would say it looks really nice now let's quick L take some snaps it's supposed to have a 16 map RAR facing camera and it says shutter button or tap anywh let's use the shutter button and you can save the locations and we can twist it also has a QR Reader it says so let's quickly uh just take this some snaps just tap to focus and again as you can see it's having an amulet screen hence the viewing angles are really nice let's tap on the Sony uh what do you say RX 100 and I've taken uh some uh snaps now let's look at the same and this is in good lighting guys uh so I will have to test the camera performance a lot more uh in various lighting conditions as of now uh this was out of focus we just tab but using the tap to focus as you can see uh this one came out to be nice let's try to take one more snap we full screen and stuff let's go back let me try to focus on this Titan logo thing and and as you can see uh looks nice as of now but I will have to test the camera performance a lot more so guys that's it for now for this quick unboxing and first look at this Modo Z play if you have any other specific questions around this device do post your questions in the YouTube comments below and I'll try to include them in my review and if you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit
