The Pumpkin Spice Latte Phenomenon: A Rant by Justine

Hey guys, how's it going? I'm Justine, and my sister Jenna is here with me today because I want to discuss the pumpkin spice latte phenomenon at Starbucks. It's seriously like the craziest thing, and what makes me just die laughing is people are calling them PSLs for real, like they're seriously calling them that. Hey can you give me a PSL? But like, the thing is it's like the same, how many syllables like pumpkin spice latte pumpkin spice latte or PSL, can you give me out PSL I need to get a PS out is it funny or is it just completely white girl, #white girl, obnoxious. All I see is people posting pictures of their Starbucks drinks so many Facebook updates, oh my gosh the PSL is back, PSL, PSL, why do we feel the need to post our Starbucks drinks? I don't know really, don't understand, I'm not going to stop posting though, I'm always like are you taking another selfie with your Starbucks like I think we get it.

Tell them about the psf, we love to annoy our other sister, like it's honestly my favorite thing to do so we kept messaging her, want a PSL, we're going to Starbucks, I'll get you a PSL. And her boyfriend was with her and we're like does he want a PSL, and she replied no he gets the psf about lost. I said my mind hold the phone psf F and I wrote back question mark frappucino yes psf psf oh my gosh do you want to go it's like a hot day so we should probably get our nails done to get a psf, this is the perfect thing because right before fall it's hot you get the psf it's true couple weeks later cold PSL, PSL what I want to know is who has had a PSL has anybody had a psf what is your favorite said drink at Starbucks doesn't have to me. The only thing is that we're like well do you guys have pumpkin spice Frappuccinos and they're like we can make them so I think it's like a big secret.

A Personal Perspective on the Phenomenon

The phenomenon of pumpkin spice lattes has become a staple of the fall season. As someone who has been obsessed with this drink for years, I can attest to its addictive nature. However, what's really fascinating is how people have taken to calling them PSLs in everyday conversation.

I have to admit, at first, it was a bit annoying to hear my friends and family referring to their lattes as PSLs instead of just plain old pumpkin spice lattes. But over time, I've come to appreciate the convenience of having a shorthand way to refer to this drink. After all, it's not every day that you get to say "PSL" in casual conversation.

But what really gets me is when people start to get defensive about their love for PSLs. Like, what? It's just a coffee drink! Can't we all just enjoy our pumpkin spice lattes without having to justify it to others? I think that's where the obnoxiousness of calling them PSLs comes in – some people just can't help but feel like they need to assert their love for this drink.

And then there are the people who don't get it. Like, what do you even get out of ordering a pumpkin spice latte? Is it really that special? I mean, I know some people have strong feelings about this drink, but for me, it's just a tasty fall treat. But hey, being one of those people is totally cool too.

In the end, whether or not we can all agree on the greatness of PSLs is up to us. And if that means calling them PSLs in everyday conversation, then so be it. After all, who cares? It's just a coffee drink.
