**PS4 Launch Titles: A Look at the Good, the Bad, and the Surprisingly Great**
Hey guys, it's Austin here, and today I'm excited to share some PS4 gameplay with you. We've got a great lineup of launch titles, including Killzone Shadowfall, Need for Speed Rivals, and Biofuel 4.
First up is Killzone Shadowfall, the base game in the Killzone franchise that marks its 4th appearance on the PS4. Set 30 years after the events of Killzone 3, players must stop a civil war from breaking out. While the story leaves something to be desired, the graphics are nothing short of fantastic. The maps are enormous, with plenty of action and excitement to go around. The combat is mostly about shooting your way through waves of enemies, but it can get frustrating at times due to confusing levels. Overall, it's a great-looking game but not necessarily a must-have title.
On the other hand, we've got Need for Speed Rivals, which is an absolute blast. Set aside the over-the-top story and dialogue, this game lets you do what you love: drive fast and have fun. You can play as either a racer or a cop, and both modes are solid. But it's the free roam mode that really shines. With so many things to do, from outrunning friends through speed traps to getting into high-speed chases, you'll never be bored. The game looks great on the PS4, with fast-moving action and only occasional dips in framerate.
Biofuel 4 is another highlight of the launch lineup, and it's a great example of how the series has evolved. With more destructible environments and a fresh coat of next-gen paint, this game feels like a step up from its predecessors. The gameplay is similar to Battlefield 3, with a short campaign and an interesting story. However, at the moment, the game is hardly stable on the PS4, crashing multiple times for me (and probably you too). But with a few more patches under its belt, it could be a real contender.
Last but not least, we've got Resogun, an indie title that's a total surprise hit. This twin stick shooter features a curved map where you shoot your way through waves of different enemies while trying to collect humans and bring them to safety. It's a simple yet incredibly fun idea, with solid controls and visuals that work flat-out awesome on the PS4. And the best part? It's free if you have PlayStation Plus!
So there you have it, guys - a look at some of the PS4 launch titles that are worth checking out. Whether you're a fan of fast-paced action or strategic gameplay, there's something for everyone in this lineup. What's your favorite PS4 game so far?
