Unboxing the Mac Pro: A Dream Come True for Serious Mac Users
As I finally get my hands on the Mac Pro, I have to admit that I'm beyond excited. This is something I've been looking forward to for years, and it's amazing to see how sleek and powerful this machine looks in person. The box itself is huge, and when I opened it up, I was greeted by a sea of cables and accessories that came with the Mac Pro.
One of the first things I noticed was the keyboard that comes with the Mac Pro. To my surprise, it's still shipping with the old white keyboard, which is cool because I actually got the other keyboard for Christmas. This keyboard is very interesting, as I didn't expect to see it included with the Mac Pro. However, I'm glad I'll be using it since I already have it.
Powering up the Mac Pro requires a power cable, which I should note is also provided in the box. Speaking of cables, there's a DVI to VGA adapter included, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with each other as expected. The adapter is designed by Apple, and I'm not sure why they didn't include a more compatible option.
As I began to set up the Mac Pro, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This is my first time owning a Mac Pro, and I've always played with them in stores or at friends' houses. I finally have one to call my own, and it's an incredible feeling. The Mighty Mouse, which has been on my wishlist for ages, was also included in the box. I'm planning to upgrade to the Bluetooth version soon.
The Mac Pro comes equipped with a USB extender cable, which is perfect for extending the range of my keyboard and mouse. This will be especially useful for college or when working at home. However, I should note that this isn't going to be for college – it's actually just going to make my desk setup better.
The manual for the Mac Pro is standard issue, with all the usual suspects: power cord, firewire 400 and 800 cables, and a quick start guide. Unfortunately, the disk included in the box was empty, so I had to improvise by putting something in its place. Don't worry; it's just a placeholder for now.
As I continued to set up my Mac Pro, I couldn't help but be impressed with its design. The box is huge, and when I opened it up, I was greeted by the beautiful, sleek body of the machine. It's heavy, which is expected considering its size and weight.
The front of the Mac Pro features a power button, USB ports, firewire 400 and 800 ports, and dual Ethernet jacks. There are also Optical in and out ports, as well as a microphone jack. I'm not sure what to make of the speakers, but they seem like they're going to be quite loud.
The Mac Pro is designed for heavy-duty use, with a large heatsink that's meant to keep things cool even during intense gaming or video editing sessions. This thing's obviously going to produce some heat, so I'll have to make sure it stays clean and well-ventilated.
As I continued to explore the Mac Pro, I finally found the graphics card – it's a GeForce 7300 GT with 256 megabytes of vram. I'm looking forward to putting this through its paces and seeing what it can do. With this machine, I know that my gaming and video editing experiences are going to take a major leap forward.
For now, I'll just leave the Mac Pro sitting here for a bit before setting it up properly. It's a beautiful system, and I'm excited to see how it performs in real-world use. I do have to say, though – I'm a little disappointed that the setup process wasn't more in-depth. Oh well; I'll make sure to create more videos about my Mac Pro in the future for all you regular viewers and subscribers out there.
Next up on this channel is a review of the Cinema display, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed this unboxing of the Mac Pro as much as I did. Happy holidays, everyone – it's been a pleasure sharing this experience with all of you.
