The LG G2: A Device Worth Remembering
I liked the LG G2 when I had it. One of the reasons was that the volume buttons were on the back, everything was on the back, so I didn't accidentally press things, which is a problem of mine. I don't know if anyone else has that issue, but I like that they curved the sides a bit this time around. The one thing I've always hated about iPhones is that they're so flat and have square corners. You're grabbing a phone with a sharp edge, like it's not meant to be held by your hand. It feels like you're gripping a tiny box.
In contrast, many phones now have curved or rounded edges, which makes them easier to grip. For example, the sides of the new iPhone are curved, allowing your hand to wrap around it and giving you a better hold. This feature has prevented several instances of iPhones being dropped because of their flat design. The user who was discussing the device also mentioned that they have seen people drop iPhones due to their fragile design.
Antennas on the Back
One thing that's been a bit of a sticking point is the design of the antennas on the back of the phone. When you flip the phone over, you can see the white lines that appear to be antennas. Some people think they look strange and don't believe they're part of the design. In fact, some leaks suggest that these lines are actually intended to be antennas.
The user who was discussing the device didn't seem too bothered by this feature, but others might find it off-putting. They also mentioned that the camera protrudes slightly from the back of the phone, which they don't like. The camera's design has been a point of contention for some users in the past.
HTC 1: A Comparison
The user who was discussing the device also compared it to the HTC 1, which is thinner and has curved edges similar to the LG G2. However, one thing that sets this phone apart is its obsessive focus on making everything as thin as possible. At what point does a phone become too thin? The user left this question open-ended.
The Nexus 5: A Replacement
Another device mentioned in the conversation was the Nexus 5, which the user prefers to their G2. They use a basic black case and don't seem to mind that much. In fact, they prefer it over the Moto X 5S and the new iPhone.
Switching to an iPhone? Not Likely
When asked if anyone would switch from Android to iOS because of the iPhone's larger size, the answer was overwhelmingly negative. The user who was discussing the device didn't seem tempted by the idea of switching, and others didn't feel the same way.
Instagram Issues: A Problem for Android Users?
One issue that's been a problem for some users is Instagram's tendency to freeze or behave erratically on their phones. One app, Zombies Run, which the user regularly uses, seems to have better performance on iPhones than it does on Android devices. However, the user themselves doesn't seem too bothered by this, and instead highlights the benefits of Google Now, which they find is not as good as it could be.
What's Up? A Search Gone Wrong
The device's camera failed during a video recording, but instead of fixing the issue, the phone decided to perform a search for "what's up." This led to a humorous anecdote about how even in a state of failure, Google can still find ways to mess things up.

you guys' reaction to something very special really no it's not that good it's not that good you probably seen them already before but I got these here and they they were shipped to me a while back and you can probably tell what they are yeah you've probably seen these around the internet but those are dummies of what the next iPhone might look like and so what we're yeah pick one up pick one up pick one up when you when you Flo them M of the package it was like there's no way there a real phone yeah yeah no respect here's the brand new prototype I no big deal no this is not official any way these are fabricated usually by case companies that are looking to get the buttons work some of them do some of them are a little bit weird but anyways the idea here is that this will be the form factor for the 4.7 in iPhone 6 my automatic thumb grab goes exactly to the corner that's pretty nice reaches yeah a little bit past like I can you got few CH mine is not even close Okay let me that out to the screen no yeah well that's that's a big that's a big thing though right when when trying to figure out the ideal size for a phone is it's not the same for everyone you know you have to take that into consideration now there's another rumor that there's going to be an even bigger version uh a 5.5 in version two versions right which a lot of people will think is too large but then there's so many people rocking the the note which is 5.7 like that the power button is now on the side that pretty much is perfectly like where your where your thumb would be where like like a lot of phones like the HTC1 it's huge and it still have the power button up top which is silly that is that makes sense that's just I like that a lot my personal squeeze or my main squeeze as I might say though is that pressing power is going to make me go volume down that's true with my with my hand at least I don't know if that's properly everybody but if I'm holding the phone like I'm normally going to hold the phone pressing power is that squeeze going to make me go long though that's something that annoys me a lot that's one of the reasons why I liked the LG G2 when I had it was because the volume buttons were on the back everything was on the back so I didn't accidentally press things I do that all the time that's a problem of mine I don't know if anyone else has that issue I like that they curve the sides a bit this time the one thing I've always hated about iPhones is that they're so flat and like all the sides are just like they're like just square corners you're grabbing a BX yeah like it like you're grabbing something that doesn't really like your hand is not meant to be like hitting a just a sharp corner like and the iPhone's already small so it's it's like grabbing something that just feels like a tiny box where like so many phones now they're they have these like curved flat like they went with a nice flat back but then the sides are curved so that your hand can actually wrap around it you have a better grip the amount of times I've seen someone drop an iPhone out of their hands because of the fact that it's just it's easy to just for that to happen there you go just Dro sorry okay now something something that's been a bit bit of a sticking point if you flip that one over are these lines you see the white lines there's some there's a a thinking right now that those are going to be the antennas I was just going to say that and that they look a little bit strange that some some people don't think that they're the most beautiful design no yeah I don't hly think the're most beautiful but they could do something with the color in terms of that this this is it I'm assuming this is mostly just for case design so like it might might not be that that white oh definitely but even some of the leaks that are coming out now of what looked like actual back casings they include the line yeah so does that bother you very much I don't know if it really bothers me especially cuz um I'm not rocking a case right now but I would often Rock a case if you're getting like a bumper something is POS very possibly look at the camera the camera protrudes oh just a tiny bit that's not cool though that I don't like that's not cool at all and also are you guys getting any kind of sense of the h HTC1 in this device oh yeah sure 100% it's thinner though it's much thinner it's definitely thinner but that's kind of the same kind of curved edges and kind of a kind of feel on the hand which is nice I like the HTC1 but this like there's a lot of similar yeah apple has an obsession which is making everything as thin as possible like at what point is the phone just going to need paper okay so here's a big question now that you guys have looked at them uh well first of what phones are are you using right now we'll start over here okay I have the Nexus 5 I use a normal black pretty basic case on it Nexus 5 moving over although I preferred my G2 it's just an unfortunate story with that Moto X 5S right now 5S Nexus 5 Nexus 5 now will a bigger iPhone tempt you guys to move in that direction yes or no starting no no yes no wow that's a big surprise there you have it you heard it here first not switching big iPhone not changing anybody's Minds out here in La yeah and just just the Box you put yourself in with apple is just so but you do feel that the current generation iPhone is too small right yeah sure so they're they're going to sell a lot of these and I'm not sold with Android because of like something we talked about earlier Lou was the Instagram issue is a huge problem and I've heard a lot of people talking about like Zombies Run is an app that I use all the time and I've heard that the iPhone experience is a lot better Instagram is having issues um I find it's going to freak out of me but I find the Google Now support is honestly not oh it didn't that's actually not a good thing um the Google Now support is not as good as it probably should Bey wake it up right now Okay g now what's up hopefully nothing super personal it's going in the video it didn't even it it failed so it decided to Google what's up instead of actually do the what'ss up search which is a perfect example of why it's not do that great yeah I cool that's what it looks like you've probably seen this on the interwebs in other places previously but uh yeah thanks for the feedback and like I said before you heard it here not changing anybody's Minds Apple's got to do more than just make a bigger screen or put a bigger screen into a device to convince these people thank you very much guys lateruh I'm Nick I do uh some sales management for the lonus Media Group and uh we're here in E3 doing some awesome viz Dev stuff wow sounds important
