**The Future of Our Server and Community**

As I sit down to write this article, I'm excited to share with you all my thoughts on our server's future and how it will impact our community. First and foremost, I want to acknowledge that Porkchop has already taken a significant step in preparing our server for 1.8, which is a major update that will bring many new features and changes. While I don't need to generate a lot of terrain at the moment, I'm eager to see how the updates will shape our community and gameplay.

One of the main reasons I want to make sure we're all near each other is because it's just more fun! Imagine being able to collaborate on projects, explore together, or simply hang out in our server without having to travel across vast distances. Our last series was a great example of how this could work – we built a massive spawn area and then... well, let's just say we didn't use it as much as I thought we would. It was frustrating at times, but I'm confident that with 1.8 on the horizon, we'll be able to create an experience that's even more engaging and enjoyable.

Our server's performance has also been a topic of interest for me. I've invested in upgrading our RAM, which should allow us to run the game smoothly without any issues. While it won't be perfect – we're still limited by our current hardware – I'm confident that we'll be able to achieve a decent level of performance. One thing that's definitely not going to happen is running too many plugins at once, as this can cause the server to lag and become unstable. So, while we may have some exciting features on the horizon, we'll need to make sure we're using them responsibly.

Speaking of which, I'm excited to announce that we'll be introducing a new way to generate terrain on our server. This will allow us to create more complex landscapes without having to manually build every detail. I know this might seem like a small thing, but trust me when I say it's going to make a big difference in our gameplay experience. We'll also be adding some crafting benches throughout the server, which is something that we've always wanted but never had.

Of course, no discussion of our server would be complete without mentioning our little inside joke about crafting. It seems like every time someone dies (and they do die a lot), they say "I don't even have a crafting bench!" – which, coincidentally, is exactly what I want to build when I get the opportunity. Maybe one day we'll even have an entire village dedicated to crafting and inventing.

In the meantime, I've been busy with other projects on my server, like building houses out of craft images (yes, you read that right – craft images!) and creating tripwires to protect our chests from thieves. It's amazing how much creativity and ingenuity goes into something as simple as a trap. And let me tell you, it's been worth it – I've discovered some hidden treasures in the most unexpected places.

**The Prank War Continues**

As I wrap up this article, I want to share with you all my latest prank on our server's resident "Peach". Let's just say he won't be forgetting his new house anytime soon... I'm not at liberty to disclose the details of the prank, but rest assured it involves a lot of crafty pitches and some very surprised villagers.

Despite the occasional outbreak of chaos, I'm confident that our community will continue to thrive on our server. We'll have more updates, more features, and more excitement on the horizon – all thanks to Porkchop's hard work and dedication. provide you know a good glimpse at our update progress from you know general start to whenever we do start doing regular videos and so in the stream videos we obviously had a hole in the ground and my terrible ugly staircase which is still here but it leads to more appropriate places now and I like how it's gone but blizz has taken the time since I stop streaming and slept for 12 hours and made the place look a lot nicer it's still a hole in the ground but it's a nice looking a little bigger it's a nice hole digger out and it's organized instead of just some chests on top of each other and fifty million crafting tables everywhere make it rain crafting tables I think I cut down probably literally at least 40 trees last night oh really ow that hurt yeah I spent a good probably at least half an hour to an hour just cutting down trees so you found jungle trees as well yes sweet alright so this is our main center hall it looks like and he lit it up with lava I'll just tight race that's just open turned sideways oh well whatever agenda last night oh I think that's how this got the jungle texture anyway so this is like they made all he lit it up with lava which gets rid of all the torches which is very very nice this is the hole that we do not speak of and sometimes you may get shot from just be discovered this is where our farming and enchanting rooms gonna go we started it yesterday but I haven't gotten too far with it just cuz it takes so much stuff to make that many books to make that many bookshelves it'll be worth it already have 17 levels myself so get some in changing going once I find more diamonds I found out its first and then everybody seemed to find a lot more diamonds after me mine quickly went away you found diamonds like in the first one yeah I just dug straight down it's like I look diamonds and then pants was just like hey I found diamonds hey I found more diamonds Oh Hitler's me I hasn't been mined a single piece of iron yet yeah then up here we're gonna have personal storage in rooms captain pants already claimed his humble abode I'm not sure where mine will be just yet and then we have this cool crafting furnace area with water around it which is very appropriate it's like to keep the furnaces cool I like it liquid cooling for your furnace yeah I like the water I don't actually realize that before and then this is my or what is this no there's so much there's really really slow growth of grass ah i see stairs all the way from the surfaced the things you have to do when you don't have silk touch oh what the hell is this hello this wasn't here last night Oh omid made something I'm surprised he found it holy I told him we had a cave somewhere but you know you we don't exactly spawn here so yeah we we do yeah oh we spawn inside now forgot I stuff up oh well the original entrance I found to the cave was really far off from spawn at I got lost while yeah which is why I kind of why I'm kind of glad I ended up digging this up because it's easy fine but ok so he found it he built his own little farming temporary house which is pretty cool especially since we have this open field here anyway I didn't even know we got on the server yet so that's that's awesome that was quick yes bad yet you know and then the things we have to do without soap touch getting down here this is my terrible staircase I made in desperation to find the surface cuz I honestly have no clue where the original entrance went but that's okay it's gone kid it wouldn't surprise me if I just got built over to Mel and here's my lovely attempt at a farm that it looks like someone's cleaned up so it's good although there's no grass so does she oh that's why you're doing the grass okay yeah oh good well I didn't do that that was there when I got on last fall Oh midnight those blues his house he lives in a cardboard box right here yeah that's my house lots of Kabul and lobster are you is this yours who is this somebody else this is somebody else's I think it's pork chops okay we're gonna have to find I guess I could dig out like i could start here or one of us could start here although this area is still open right this I think it'd be actually be cool if like there was a room like right here and then if we make an entrance better for it right here and just kind of glass wall up to the mine shaft that would work and honestly it look kind of cool if once we're done with part of the mine shaft we untoward and just like allow mobs to spawn in and just have this like creepy like haunted house wall here maybe not but that could be someone's room I just think it'd be cool to have rooms going all the way up like some cool cave apartment complex or something um and yeah so this is our current living situation I'm trying to keep everybody together in one area just so because well first of all I don't need I don't want to generate a whole lot of terrain until 1.8 comes out however porkchop already went really far like he always does so we'll see how that went like I don't know how far out he went so I don't know how much he generated but everything in the direction that he didn't go they'll still be on generated so have half a hard life should mean I just explode everywhere it it's fun it's cuz it's literally what you do so it's just like yeah alright thanks servers moving on with great i'm excited hopefully gonna play more this time yeah and the server's actually functioning although it appears if i had too many plugins it starts the leg still so once i actually have more funding i can upgrade the ram on it at the moment we're at half a gig still so it's not exactly much but it should be just vanilla with essentials it should be fine since we're not all going to be on at the same time most the time as long as they don't get crazy redstone stuff going which i don't think anyone here really knows that much about red stone so that should be fine um so yeah woohoo I'm excited this was just like hey I
