iOS 17 - Expectations and Wishlist _ Here is what we want!

Personal Wish Lists with iOS 17

Hey I'm probably not going to go through with this or if I do actually change all the app icons I'm not going back and I'm not changing it to anything else for a long time because it could take you 30 minutes to change all of your apps on your home screen depending on what you have set up so having the ability to easily do that not only easily be able to change your app icons but then also when you open them you no longer have to deal with the idea that it's a shortcut because whenever you open an app icon which I'll show you on the screen it basically you are running a shortcut to actually open up that application so sometimes there's a little bit of delay when opening that application and once that's all figured out then having the ability to maybe create a marketplace where people can share maybe even sell their actual home screen and lock screen setups so for instance if you have anything custom on your lock screen that you created or maybe a cool wallpaper or a cool icon set being able to have a native Marketplace whether it is via airdrop or whatever the case may be just being able to share what you've created with others would be amazing to see because sometimes I see some some lock screens I'm like wow that looks really cool I wish I could just set it up with a click of a button now.

One of the last things I want is this overall improvements to series Siri right now is good enough to tell you the weather it's good enough to turn off and on a light bulb if you're in your home kit and things like that but it's not very conversational not that I want to sit there and have a conversation with Siri but I want to be able to get some information with some good UI very similar to Google Google assistant is Leaps and Bounds over Siri Siri yes from a function standpoint can do a lot of the same thing but it's not as natural as it is whenever you're dealing with something like Google assistant or even Alexa sometimes but Siri even though it has been improved in year over year it needs a big overhaul of how it's used because right now series just seems a little bit for lack of a better term sterile in order to just get the job done so yes it can tell you the weather yes it can tell you and set up a timer but it can do multiple timers let's say you have three different things going on at the same time being able to use Siri for something like that is ideal and it's a must in my opinion now those are some of my personal wish lists with iOS 17 and we can go kind of crazy but I tried to keep it a little bit tame because I know that apple people for the most part isn't going to do too much with iOS 17.

It should be a year where they do a lot of bug fixes improvements and all about refinement making the experience even better than it was before because with iOS 15 it was actually one of the most stable ios's of all time and it also improved battery life of not only the new devices but older devices versus iOS 16. I've heard a lot of stories that people are losing battery life like the 14 pro Max has not been as good as the 13 Pro Max with iOS 16 especially compared to when the 13 Pro Max was rocking the iOS 15 update it would last two even sometimes three days on some light use.

Waiting for Apple Promised Features

We're still waiting for a couple of things that Apple promised us with iOS 16. For example we still don't have the high yield savings account we don't have the buy now pay later platform or feature which apple touted with the Apple card and the Apple wallet and also we still don't have apple classical which is something that Apple said they were to bring and a lot of people are wanting Apple classical as a standalone classic music app from Apple itself but that's gonna do for this video

Apple iOS 17 Expectations and Discussion

Everybody if you did enjoy leave a little Dolph in the comments down below and like I said let's discuss in the comments what you want from IOS 17 and how these new features are going to help or improve your overall experience with your iPhone but that's gonna do it everybody if you want to watch more iOS iPad Os or Mac OS content click on one of these videos right here but until next time I'm Fernando and I'm out of here everybody peace

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso iOS 16 I believe the name of the game was customization and personalization right we got some new features with iOS 16 like the new lock screen new lock screen widgets being able to use Focus modes alongside of lock screens and home screens different fonts on your lock screen so a lot of customization on that front where it's more so a form aspect as opposed to a function aspect when it comes to iOS 16. we did get some other new features which were very welcome especially in iMessage like the undo send being able to edit your actual iMessages I almost had a tweet there but being able to edit your iMessage within two minutes of sending it those are all very welcome additions we also got some new additions to the home kit being able to have the matter accessories now be fully supported throughout the entire home kit ecosystem and then we also got this new notion and concept of live activities which is finally starting to roll out to people so if you have things like flighty or Uber or Lyft you might see some live activities start to populate on your lock screen but even though I did just rattle off some new features which do make sense and it made it a little bit more custom and personalizable if that's even a word for your iPhone I iOS 16 is still relatively the same to iOS 15 and iOS 14. now you can let me know in the comments below if that's a good thing for familiarity or if it's a bad thing and Apple's kind of like resting on their Laurels a little bit with what they've created with iOS 16. so in this video what I want to do is talk about my wish list for iOS 17. talk about some things that I think are really going to happen like there's a high probability of these features coming but maybe some other features but a little less known maybe it's something a little bit more Niche that might not come overall but still nice to think about but without further Ado let's talk about my iOS 17 wish list and leave the comments down below of what you guys want out of iOS 17 and if you want to keep it all familiar how it is right now or maybe really change things up and get something brand new overall but let's get into it so the first one that I'm going to bring up is IOS 17 adding more lock screen and home screen customizations overall now I think this is very probable Apple being able to add more text and different fonts into the actual lock screen being able to add more lock screen widgets but being able to add more lock screen widgets overall maybe giving us a second row not just being able to have that one row of live stream widgets adding more fonts to the actual timer like I mentioned adding different Hues and filters to your lock screen which will make it a little bit more customizable and who knows maybe even being able to have a persistent live activity kind of carousel on the actual lock screen or the home screen itself but those are some things that I do think Apple's going to bring over because they're an easy implementation iOS 17 maybe adding new fonts very easy for them and some other widgets at least some native Widgets or maybe even being able to expand how many widgets you can have on your lock screen is going to come with iOS 17. another big update that should be coming to iOS 17 is going to be the ability to side load applications now for the longest time I mean since the beginning of the iPhone in the beginning of the App Store Apple's allowed you to download third-party applications only from Apple's App Store there were some other ways to kind of do it but it was a little bit sketchy and I kind of I remember I did it once with a Game Boy emulator and it sometimes doesn't work too well but the App Store is pretty much how you download 99.99 of whatever applications you have on your iPhone and now due to the fact that there's now some regulatory issues in terms of the Apple tax because Apple does take about a 30 tax for every download or any in-app purchase or any app purchase Apple is now going to allow you to side load applications with iOS 17 again this is a wishlist item but there has been rumors and leaks of this actually being something that's going to happen especially because of a regulatory standpoint because of the battle between fortnite epic games and apple itself fortnite being kicked off the app store because we're sending people somewhere else to purchase the actual game or purchase add-ons or whatever the case may be so being able to sideload apps from a different app store completely yes it might not come with the same security measures that comes by downloading Apple application apps but being able to side load apps is going to open the door to a lot more applications a lot more developers that don't have to stay with that 30 Apple attacks they can just now create apps in a different app store and handle with whatever tax they have if there will be any so being able to side load apps is something that should be coming to iOS 17. and then maybe I'll have a gba emulator that I'll be able to download use and not have to worry about updating to the next iOS and losing that gba emulator now these next few items are really wish list heavy now they Apple could probably implement this and implement this kind of easily but it kind of would stray away from what Apple's always held on to which is consistency and familiarity with the home screen so one of my number one things is that I want to be able to just have a free-flowing grid as you're probably aware as an iOS user the Apple home screen doesn't allow you to really customize where your applications are yes you can add and remove icons and things of that nature but it always follows this grid where everything starts on the top left hand corner so so if you want to have maybe a bottom row right above your Dock and then have the rest of the space open to maybe see a wallpaper that you have on there unfortunately unless you have some workarounds which we do have some workarounds with the blank app and things like that but it's not easy it takes time so being able to have a completely customizable app grid on your home screen would be amazing to see apple Implement and then to stay on the actual home screen itself I would love to have the ability to not only add different applications and maybe even shortcuts and bookmarks from Safari like I have in the past but being able to have actual files so maybe I have a file or a PDF that I'm kind of reviewing over and over again maybe for a big meeting being able to put a file from your actual files app into your home screen to have easy access to it and not have to run a shortcut or run something different would be amazing be able to add more things to your actual home screen other than just applications would be great so I'm thinking more shortcuts I'm thinking files I'm thinking quick tools that are maybe in the control center that you can move from the control center over to the home screen that'll be a nice little addition for Apple to add to the actual home screen ability and then another cool idea that was brought by Parker is this idea of a live activities Carousel so live activities I actually think they're great they show up on the lock screen whenever you need them whether you're keeping up with the latest Miami Heat score in basketball or you're looking for your Uber or your Starbucks order or whatever the case may be live activities they actually look great they work as intended and it gives you some information that's actually something that you would ideally want and need so being able to have a carousel similar to having a widget stack on your home screen but you would have a little Carousel of live activities are currently going on would be great to be able to put on your actual home screen itself another one that I personally want is just a better overall clipboard manager and being able to copy and paste and cut multiple different things at one time so with apple right now to copy and paste I mean it is a fairly simple process but once you paste that one item and let's say you want to copy something else there's no like real clipboard manager for you to use and to kind of organize everything that you've copied being able to move from application to application so having a good clipboard manager I think is an absolute must for Apple to bring on how they would implement it exactly I'm not really sure maybe it's built into the keyboard maybe you just press that little world button on the bottom left of your keyboard then you have your clipboard manager there are applications that already do this that help you out but having it native from Apple and iOS 17 would be amazing now another cool idea that Parker brought up and it kind of goes in with this idea of being able to customize your home screen even that much more so with iOS 15 I believe it was you technically were able to change your actual home screen icons and being able to customize those app icons to something different now to actually do this it just takes a lot of time and that time alone is enough of a deterrent to let people know like hey I'm probably not going to go through with this or if I do actually change all the app icons I'm not going back and I'm not changing it to anything else for a long time because it could take you 30 minutes to change all of your apps on your home screen depending on what you have set up so having the ability to easily do that not only easily be able to change your app icons but then also when you open them you no longer have to deal with the idea that it's a shortcut because whenever you open an app icon which I'll show you on the screen it basically you are running a shortcut to actually open up that application so sometimes there's a little bit of delay when opening that application and once that's all figured out then having the ability to maybe create a marketplace where people can share maybe even sell their actual home screen and lock screen setups so for instance if you have anything custom on your lock screen that you created or maybe a cool wallpaper or a cool icon set being able to have a native Marketplace whether it is via airdrop or whatever the case may be just being able to share what you've created with others would be amazing to see because sometimes I see some some lock screens I'm like wow that looks really cool I wish I could just set it up with a click of a button now you might be able to do that with iOS 17. and one of things like that but it's not very conversational not that I want to sit there and have a conversation with Siri but I want to be able to get some information with some good UI very similar to Google Google assistant is Leaps and Bounds over Siri Siri yes from a function standpoint can do a lot of the same thing but it's not as natural as it is whenever you're dealing with something like Google assistant or even Alexa sometimes but Siri even though it has been improved in year over year it needs a big overhaul of how it's used because right now series just seems a little bit for lack of a better term sterile in order to just get the job done so yes it can tell you the weather yes it can tell you and set up a timer but it can do multiple timers it can't do three timers let's say you have three different things going on at the same time being able to use Siri for something like that is ideal and it's a must in my opinion now those are some of my personal wish lists with iOS 17 and features where a you think it's actually going to happen and be more of a wish list item where it's like ah I really wish Apple would do this but they probably won't but they probably should so leave the comments down below and then also we're still waiting for a couple of things that Apple promised us with iOS 16. for example we still don't have the high yield savings account we don't have the
