The Review of the ASUS ROG Strix RX 5700 XT Graphics Card

We've got a fairly beefy heatsink under there, can see it's actually gone far oh wow, the backplate is is is really next level. But anyway, we've got a five heat pipes under here and they look like they're fairly beefy heat pipes. But yeah, as you can see there's a decent amount of like thin stack back there. It's got dual eight pins and it's got some crystal effect over here. It honestly looks like a female anime character's handbag. It is it is a pretty terrifying looking graphics card.

Now on the back we have yeah there that's a very personalized back plate action. It's not the highest definition printing on here, compared to the kind of like definition of the printing on the box. It's a little bit disappointing but yeah I can't wait to see how these cards actually gonna perform. No way that's that's way more rainbow than I thought it was gonna be especially especially love that rind so much now.

The biggest problem with this graphics card aside from the fact that it is probably the pinkest thing I've ever touched or owned is that it doesn't really match any normal gaming components. However, I have a system that it works quite well in and I think it looks pretty awesome even if you're not a weeb.

I actually an ironically really like the way the graphics card looks especially in that system. It just all melds together very well. I know that it's very rainbow II in pink but it just especially the back plate and it yeah it looks really cool. The looks aren't the only thing that matters so let's see if it actually performs decently.

I did some benchmarks honestly, I didn't do that many benchmarks because we all know how an RX 5700 XT performs and this is an RX 5700 XT. The core boosts to about 1900 megahertz when playing games as you can see here in PopG. Which makes it a fairly decent performing RX 5700 XT.

As you can see here with it running FurMark, and actually the temperatures are really good too. You get an edge temp of about 80 degrees. The thing is though with that kind of temperature performance it runs really loud. In fact, the stock out of the box fan curve on this graphics card is crazy. It really does sound like a jet on takeoff.

It performs really well firmly but it's so loud so what I do is just set kind of like your own fan curve. I mean, I just put it to like 30% fan speed and left it there that way it's really quiet and it's thermal performances roughly in the ballpark of like a reference 5,700 XT.

Now we have to get to the really massive overweight elephant in the room though which is the value of this graphics card. Because as far as I know, the only place that you can get access to it is over Aliexpress. Now just for some context, the reference RX 5700 XT sells for about $400, and you can get a pretty good aftermarket version for about $420 dollars.

This graphics card is obscenely expensive for a 5700 XT. It sells for about $650 US dollars on Aliexpress which is crazy. The ASUS Strix RX 5700 XT, which is already crazily overpriced, is significantly cheaper in fact I don't think there's a version of the RT X 2070 Super that you can buy for this much money. It's honestly close to $2080 Super money for a 5700 XT which is very loud out of the box.

It's it's not a great deal honestly, the graphics card is so unique and it looks great in the correct system but it just isn't worth it. crazy graphics card I don't really know how else to say it but they made they made a waifu version of the RX 5700 xt it really is the ultimate web graphics card and I have it here I bought one and we're gonna have a look at it today so what we're gonna do in today's videos we're gonna unbox it because well it's got some pretty crazy packaging and then we're gonna put it in a PC and test it to see whether or not that ridiculous cooler actually does its job properly and then finally we're gonna discuss whether or not you should buy one because it costs a whole lot more than you'd think and here we have it one of the we biasts graphics cards of all time I'm actually very excited to get into the packaging but first let's have a look at the packaging apparently it's yes since 20th anniversary so that's pretty exciting let's have a look at the back of the box what's quite nice about the back of the box is that they do have all of the information in English as well although there isn't really any information on the box they say they've got an optimized PCB design they say they've got high quality components so that's that's good especially considering the ridiculous cost of this graphics card and they've got increase the size of the fan mmm that's a very important feature and then they've got the best design of thermal structure so they're saying this card is going to be very cool and quiet and with that let's have a look at the front of the box which is very pink it's definitely the pinkest graphics card box I've ever seen and then there's obviously the the waifu character i don't really know how else to refer to her it reminds me of the old ati days like ati like a female character that they put on all of their boxes and stuff and it was it was always really ridiculous on the note of the shipping it was actually really impressive usually these kind of products take ages to get here but with the free shipping on Aliexpress it took about a week to get here from when I ordered it which is that's very quick anyway let's open it up and have a look at what we've got inside I genuinely am so excited to have a look at this graphics card okay and provide plastic oh it's got a nice satin feel to the box oh it's actually got like an outer sleeve and then the inner sleeve is again very very pink like it is it is almost a sickening pink but yeah I mean I guess that's very much for the target audience so let's just slip this box open and have a look inside oh there we go there we go it's actually very nicely packaged we've got some oh it's this way around we've got some yes turn inscribed foam over here and then we have the actual graphics card in a bubble wrap bag it is it's got really nice soft foam in the box so it is well packaged it's not gonna be damaged even with international shipping so you can kind of like rest assured with that but it's it's so pink and here we have it and wow it is very very pink it looks a bit like all of the
