The Zen Watch 2 Depth Challenge: A Test of Endurance
I recently inadvertently left my Zenwatch 2 on, which surprisingly lasted for most of the dime that was set as its depth challenge. This feat is impressive, to say the least, and I couldn't help but share a picture of it on social media, showcasing just how dead it had become. A huge thank you goes out to Google Store for their amazing products, and also to the person who gifted me a very tasteful towel that I will surely wear to all the fanciest occasions I attend. The towel is indeed very cool.
AMD's Decision: Why RX Over R9?
One of my colleagues, Thomas, asked about AMD's decision to go with RX instead of R9 for their newest generation graphics cards. It turns out that X is a Roman numeral representing 10, and it seems that this naming convention played a role in the company's choice.
The Art of Naming Products
Another question from Thomas was why Apple consistently names their products with the same name year after year. Unfortunately, I couldn't provide an answer to this, as I'm not well-versed in this area.
A Wood-Burning Impression of My Profile Picture
Thomas also sent me a piece of wood that resembled a wood-burning impression of my profile picture. The image was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't believe the skill and attention to detail that went into creating it.
The Amazing Story Behind the Past Indicator
One of our subtitling group members from China, who does all the captioning on videos we upload, visited us in person to hand-deliver a truly incredible gift. This past indicator is made from authentic tubes from the 1960s to the 1980s and was used as readouts for scientific instruments. The character display is unique, with each character appearing in a separate plane within the tube, which illuminates them with a clock inside. These are handmade by a Russian company that has never had one fail, with over 2,000 clocks made to date.
A Surprising Gift
The gift was a surprise, and I was thrilled to receive it. The past indicator is truly an incredible piece of technology, and I couldn't believe the effort that went into creating it.
Closing Out the Packages
We received several packages in the mail, each containing unique items. One was a bottle of Blair's Death Sauce, which Taran had been eagerly awaiting but was out of office at the time. We also received letters from various individuals, including one who sent us a 50p coin with a Kappa face on it and another who wrote a long letter asking me to follow him on Twitter.
A Request from Oakville
We got a weird one that had a meme inside and requested that I listen to his mixtape from someone named Jonathan from Oakville, without a return address. It seems that he's a sausage-savvy individual, as indicated by the phrase "sausage Savage." While the letter was certainly unique, I couldn't help but chuckle at the audacity of its writer.
Support from Around the World
We received letters from individuals who live in countries where English is not even the dominant language, yet they still managed to write to us and express their love for our show. It's truly heartwarming to see people from around the world connect with us over our content.
A Letter from Ireland
Mike from Ireland wrote to us, stating that we are "class," which I took as a compliment. He also shared that he had his own YouTube channel, and I wished him all the best in his online endeavors.
A Typewriter Gift from Edward Nardella
We received another letter from Edward Nardella, who sent me a snail mail gift using a typewriter. It's clear that he went to great lengths to get his message across, and I'm touched by his dedication.
The Final Package: Nitro Blast's Surprise
Finally, we got a package from Nitro Blast, which contained a surprise gift. The letter inside read "open on wano," but since I'm not doing that (I'm opening it in the mail room instead), you'll just have to deal with it. Inside the package was a Kappa 123 gift card from Nitro, and we're thrilled to receive it.
