A Holiday Haul: Exploring Christmas Decor and More

As I sit here surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I find myself reflecting on my latest shopping spree. I'm excited to share with you all the fun and festive items that caught my eye at the mall. From classic colors to unique ornaments, I've got it all.

I started off browsing through the home decor section, where I came across a beautiful wooden bowl in the fall section. The price tag read 50% off, which was too good to pass up. I immediately envisioned placing fresh fruit inside this lovely bowl and using it as a centerpiece for my dining table. The classic red and green colors drew me in, and I couldn't resist adding it to my cart.

As I continued shopping, my eyes landed on a set of adorable topiary-style present boxes adorned with gorgeous red velvet bows. I had initially planned on going for a gingerbread-themed look, but as I began to think more about it, I realized that incorporating color would be the way to go. The addition of red bows throughout the house seemed like the perfect solution to add some visual interest and personality to my decor. I opted for two of the larger sizes, which will either find their way into my entryway or dining room – we'll see!

Next up were some new ornaments that had caught my eye. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely sure if they were from last year's collection or not, but the gingerbread-inspired design was too enticing to resist. As someone who already has a plethora of red ornaments and accessories in their collection, I knew these would be a great addition to my plaid-themed decor. The goal is to incorporate more white and brown elements into my style, reminiscent of the classic gingerbread look. With this in mind, I purchased a few boxes of the ornaments and also picked up some smaller sizes for good measure.

A quick glance at my holiday haul wasn't complete without mentioning the Christmas lights clips I'd bought. As someone who enjoys putting up their own Christmas decorations, I felt excited to tackle the task myself this year. My previous experience with high-peaked houses had left me seeking professional help, but I'm confident that this one will be a breeze.

As I finish writing this article, I'm still in the midst of decorating my new Florida home for its first Christmas. With many little touches to complete and some styling to do, it's going to be an exciting process to see how everything comes together. I've got a brand-new piece of furniture to incorporate into the space, which I'll get to sharing with you all in due time. The Christmas ornaments are truly special. The small round ones caught my eye as well. They're priced at 2.99 each, which seems quite reasonable. I'm planning on crafting them myself – it's a fun project that I'm looking forward to getting started on. There's something so satisfying about creating your own decorations from scratch.

With the holiday season fast approaching, I can already envision how my home is going to come together. The addition of these new items will undoubtedly add a touch of festive flair to my decor. shoes that I painted on my channel I'll link it down below in case you want to watch the tutorial but what's ironic is that it's like a Christmas Haul but that's what I do here so I'm gonna dive in actually I went thrifting so I thought I'll just go ahead and throw it into today's haul so I'm gonna show you guys those items first and I picked up these two topiaries so I do a lot of shopping on like Amazon and hobby lobbies Hobby Lobby haul so it's kind of nice to kind of find things that you can find in those places but they look different and unique still if that makes sense so I really liked these I liked just the way that the Moss looked it's not too vibrant green I love the color of the pot and yeah so I thrifted these um out of like an antique store so I like those I think they're going to end up in the dining room because I'm installing some like Furniture in there and then I found this little like wicker basket with the milk jugs I thought they were really cute and um I just wanted to add some additional Farmhouse elements so I'm not entirely sure where this is gonna go but I feel like it's going to go in the living room and you guys will eventually see like a you know finished house tour then I also thrifted this which I believe is actually a bed skirt so I'm not yeah not gonna like open it up fully um so but it's really beautiful it has this like ruffle detail with the eyelet as well and I just saw it you know at this antique store so when I saw this just kind of hanging out on this um hanger in the antique store I just thought it was beautiful it's this just breath of fresh air just it has that quality to it with the eyelet detail and then just the bright white which I'm trying to bring in more into my house it's kind of hard to see what it's going to look like with all of the seasonal stuff right now but I'm in this like transformation of um the style and aesthetic I want to lead into so I'm gonna actually be folding this and styling it as a blanket inside of like a wicker basket so I'm not actually going to use it as a bed skirt then I found these beautiful like wood block candle holders I just love candle holders I pretty much have them everywhere I don't know what my deal is with that um I honestly didn't even realize it until I put these in my basket and I just started laughing at myself I'm like what is your thing with candle holders does anyone have like one particular like Decor item that you just don't know why you keep buying over and over mine's probably this then I went to a thrift store and I found the most epic piece this little wicker duck like I why why was this just sitting there I actually don't know what I uh actually paid for it I need to find the receipt but this is label 1999 and then when you open it it has this beautiful brown polka dot thing going on except I need to shake it out because there's a bunch of sand in here um but yeah you can just kind of see there's this really cute there's that bright white which I love and then all of these little tassels can someone in the comments tell me like what what this is for like why why all the tassels like I really don't know honestly what what they're meant for are they supposed to tie around something um then there's almost like this lid and maybe that's what it's supposed to tie to like the lid to this and maybe it's kind of like an interesting picnic basket I don't know but I'm telling you this I love it to pieces and I'm going to be styling this as part of you know just like my everyday Decor so I was very excited for that fine and then um I found these cute little bows they were marked as ten dollars but I ended up getting them for the two for a dollar so I thought that was absolutely insane and I love this little strawberry bow I'm gonna open it because I want to see it without all the you know the packaging kind of getting in the way but how charming and I've seen these little bows before in like boutiques and they are very expensive so the fact that I got it for what I did I'm so surprised I I believe the strawberry one I'm saving because I want to do like a strawberry themed junk Journal so I'm going to use this kind of like a paper clip um and then the Snow White I'm going to um I also thought about doing like a Disney themed junk Journal which I am and then I thought I could use this but I might end up sending this to my niece I don't know that she actually likes Snow White or knows about snow white but um it's just such a cute little bow so that was a fun find and then if you don't know I love teapots I don't know why this one was marked 199 but each of the sticker colors you know when you go thrifting they have like certain colors which means like a certain sale or whatever so it says 199 I'll find the receipt here in a second and see what I actually paid for it not the apples in like the the faux Rattan wicker look to this so a Little Teapot and I'm so excited this just is making me get get I can't talk because I'm not excited I'm getting excited for next spring and summer and it's making me just like feel very inspired by the apples and I want to do like an apple theme and then I saw this piece and let me tell you I was just like what are you doing why are you buying this but I bought it so actually this is what was on sale this is 14.99 but they took 7.50 off and it is this tea shop cookie jar so cute the other style that I'm marrying with Farmhouse is a little bit of like splash of Victorian and some english country Flair French country Flair and this right here gives me English country a little bit so I think it will look darling and it's currently taped up but this top comes off and it's just a cookie jar like how yeah so there's that I also purchased a bunch of books at this thrift store as well but they ended up in my office so they're just pretty random so that's it for the antiquing and thrifting now I'm gonna share with you guys my Hobby Lobby haul if you watched my YouTube live where I was doing some junk journaling I told you guys a story about this trip and how I was just minding my own business pushing this cart around with all this Christmas stuff and this guy comes up to me and he's like can I tell you something and I'm thinking that he's going to tell me like why are you buying Christmas stuff when it's October and I was ready to like go down and and defend my myself um because the reason is because I want to and but no I got humbled real quick because he was like your tag is still on your dress and it was like a big chunky white tag which is so bizarre because I also had filmed a an Instagram outfit reel and as I watched it back you I think I caught it like for a split second when I turned but she couldn't even like really see it then but it is like a huge white plastic tag like a hard tag and it was one of those where you couldn't just rip it off because it was on a like fabric string essentially and he just happened to have a knife and cut it off of my dress I'm not asking questions I don't know why he had a knife should I you know what I don't know he saved the day because I can't imagine what that must have looked like me just pushing around this cart with this big tag on the back of my dress so once I got over that initial shock here's what ended up in my heart so I picked up a bunch of ribbons I think these have been yeah these have been around for a while and I feel like I'm going to go in a gingerbread Direction and I thought these ribbons were so pretty they all just have this like matching quality which I love that about Hobby Lobby when you go into their Christmas ribbons they have them in themes and I just love that just makes things so much easier and even though I'm not a fan of this Grinch green this is just too much of a almost like lime color it's still so fun and I just wanted to have fun with like wrapping presents this year and I wanted them to have a gingerbread theme I usually do like a rustic plaid kind of thing and I don't know I'm just feeling the whole gingerbread Vibe and here are the other ones so you can see like the gingerbreads right here so cute so yeah I did get these for presents just like wrapping and making them cute um these were in the clearance section pretty random I honestly can't even tell you like why I got them they're just like these like little like wood chip things and this was 19 cents so I got two trees again no clue why I mean in general I thought of them for Junk journaling but like why the trees why the Sun I don't I don't know the sun was 17 cents and then this like little Pine Christmas looking tree was 24 sets yeah it is a very random grab and then I found these favor boxes in the like party birthday section and I don't know they just really spoke to me I'm I don't usually gravitate towards anything pink but lately I've been really liking all the girly stuff and they show popcorn I mean obviously I guess you could put food in it but I did get them to craft with so I got that and then in this bag I already forgot oh I found these adorable little like vintage looking deers they just have that vintage look to their to their face but what I really liked about them is that they're dusted in this beautiful glitter so it has that Gingerbread look kind of like they're a cookie you know with that like Frosty um sugary thing to to it and I'm thinking that I'm gonna just kind of let the whole house have a gingerbread theme this year I don't know if that's what I'm gonna do but like there's a possibility and then I also grabbed this one and yeah there was three to this collection at Dollar Tree by the way and then the other one it's cute how he has like a little Christmas tree on him and then the poinsettia which is so cute and yes I know it's poinsettia I'm not gonna say it like that like I'm just I've been saying a poinsettia my whole life imma stick to it and I I say that every year it's as like a disclosure because I know I know I'm gonna get corrected and I know I'm saying it wrong but anyways I think they are so cute I have no idea where they're gonna go but um look but there it is so they do have the classic colors that I use they do have the the red and the green so and then I pick up this bowl right here this like wood bowl this is from the fall section so it was 50 off and I got it because I thought I would put my fruit in here yeah so what I'm thinking about doing so there's that and then the moment that I saw these they just ended up in my cart it was just one of those like I saw it I loved it I knew I would style it some way somehow and they are these little topiary Style present boxes with Gorgeous Red Velvet Bow because I am going to do red bows I decided I am going to be doing color and because I at first I thought I was going to do like a gingerbread white and brown only thing but I am going to be bringing color in and I'm going to have red bows kind of everywhere so I thought that was cute so I got that size and then I got two of these bigger sizes these are either going to end up in my mind right now in the entryway or in the dining room somehow so I don't know and then here's the other one I don't know if these are new or not but I don't remember them from last year but they're gorgeous they were 56.99 but Christmas is 50 off so yikes there it is the smaller one was 35.99 but 50 off so I got that and then I feel like I've hauled these before and I probably have them in my collection but I decide to get these ornaments because they have that Gingerbread look and I know that I have a bunch of like red ornaments and all the stuff that kind of incorporates into my plaid look which is what I usually do as a plaid but I want to take it more towards the gingerbread I do want to bring out more of like the white in this Brown look that gingerbread has so I knew I probably needed to kind of get some more of these ornaments so I bought a couple of these boxes and then I also bought them in this size as well so they were 16.99 but 50 off 19.99 but 50 off and if you look closely they also have that like glitter sugary look so yeah I think I think once it all comes together it's gonna look really cute and I am going to be crafting some like Dollar Tree gingerbread houses and ornaments so stay tuned and then I bought these so these are round ornaments 2.99 and I'm planning on Crafting them I think they're going to end up in my entryway um I was actually gonna do a nutcracker theme in the entryway in the dining room and then kind of bring in gingerbread in here but I might try that next year I think this year I'm gonna try to focus on carrying a gingerbread theme throughout the entire house which is something I've always wanted to do and if you're new to my channel I typically keep gingerbread as like a kitchen thing um and then I'll do like plaid in the rest of the house essentially but I feel like gingerbread's got to be the thing again I could change my mind it really kind of depends on how everything comes together and if I have kind of what I want and it feels just like the whole house makes sense I guess and then pretty random but I also bought these clips for Christmas lights and um I usually have someone like Install My Lights that's because my last house had like super high peaks like there was no way on God's green earth I was gonna do lights myself which I have done lights myself um but this house I think it'll be a lot easier for me to actually do them myself and I actually enjoy it probably sounds weird but I enjoy putting up Christmas lights so I feel like in another world I was a Griswold for sure and that's it for today's haul I hope you guys enjoyed stick around so
