expected it to the last couple of years uh maybe with the tune i don't the heat exchanger's not working how it should but it's still one of my favorite cars and it is so much fun to drive it's about 800 horsepower on a dynojet and uh 750 on a mustang dyno and it wasn't quite performing up to those numbers so if you guys remember my new friend chris wells at ddx performance in detroit he's also part owner in ct performance who is a zr1 specialty shop they're gonna be picking this car up today taking to their shop and see what they think they need to do to make it what it should be so we're gonna go meet up with chris here in a few minutes load it up in the trailer say goodbye to it for a few months and then they're gonna give me a ring and uh here shortly and let me know what they think to see it going someone else's with room for another car this thing is sweet is it weird seeing it going to someone else's trailer yeah it looks weird stock it has been hold like this since i bought been here at ct performance since i dropped it well since chris picked it up it's done we're gonna go see it for the first time see all the changes have been made to it put on the dyno see how much power it makes and take it out for the first drive i can't wait all right where's she at ah strapped down and ready to dino what's up what's up hey how's it going there she is she is tearing she's complete it looks good so before we jump into the dyno you guys are all ready to go yeah let's go through what all has changed since you picked it up in february sure so it came here obviously modified already and we thought there may be a motor issue we weren't quite sure is down on power correct got it torn down and uh did turn out there was a motor issue so we had to go through the motor so the allistein's been going through we've got a new ls9 in the uh in the engine bay here and then on top of that uh we did our ported heads package so we have our cnc in the background there somewhere doing that literally got reported right there they got ported vehicles or whatever 50 feet away so uh ported heads our ported heads a gp stage three cam which works really well with these cars in our setup um essentially the whole synergy treatment too so it blower was set out to synergy motorsports got the erase port done on it synergy intake you can see we've got you know the synergy inlets we've got the synergy under hood water tank you did not want to go with the trunk mount which i understand completely because yeah screw holes and going through carpet street lights i get it no i get it got some new seats for you in there as well so that's what i'm really excited for oh my god look at these they look great the ass cushion was broken on the left side there so i was like sitting sideways was feeling it yeah it kind of ruined the whole experience for me i'm trying to think what else we did to be honest you had already had you already had eighty-five you already had uh so the fuel system was already done yep um you already had exhaust so ultimately we tweaked some things there but not a lot of changes on that end um yeah i mean honestly we just cleaned up some stuff that you wanted there's a long list of fixes that we went through but there's some nice upgrades we're going to find out the list wasn't super interesting in terms of your audience but that said i get it they're annoyances so we got them fixed before i forget too we we did do another rock heat exchanger on it as well which is the standard for these cars so yeah the cooling side i think was completely redone and then heads cam blower intake one more now we got some chop hell yeah 800 on that one oh 889 hell yeah 776 torque look at that twerk right there is this the twerk that's just all across jesus right at 3 200 it's just like peg the whole way entire tire roasting machine right there that's why you're having problems in third gear yeah yeah the zr1 is back in business 889 horsepower to the wheels picked up about 90 horsepower with all the modifications they did to this thing let's go take it for a test drive and see what it feels like all right first test drive here we go all right first rip on the zero one here we go back in business she is screaming yeah man it feels good all right the zr1 is officially back i'm excited i'm gonna head back home get ready for the
