Getting Rid of Clothes: A Master Closet Conundrum
As I was getting ready for the day, my partner mentioned that they wanted to get rid of some clothes. "Yeah, getting rid of clothes was part of the equation," they said, but then quickly added, "getting rid of the shirts you don't wear." It seemed like a simple task, but as we began to sort through my closet, it became apparent that this wasn't going to be an easy process.
I love Jinx t-shirts, and 99% of my wardrobe is actually made up of these. "So Soft" they're very soft, comfortable, and tagless - if it ain't soft, I ain't putting it on," I joked with my partner. They smiled and said, "Well, you got to get rid of some T-shirts not all of them." But as we started to sort through the clothes, it became clear that this was going to be a challenge.
As we worked through the closet, my partner couldn't help but tease me about my love for Jinx t-shirts. They joked that I must have been born with a "Jinx gene" and that they were now having to acquire new items just to keep up with my wardrobe. I laughed and said, "Hey, someone's got to keep the brand alive!" But deep down, I knew that this was going to be an ongoing battle.
As we delved deeper into the closet, my partner discovered a stash of old clothes that they had been meaning to get rid of for months. "You're like a hoarder," I teased them, but then quickly realized that maybe I wasn't so different after all. We ended up having to sort through a bunch of old clothes together, and it was actually kind of fun.
Just as we were starting to make progress, my phone started buzzing with notifications from online shopping sites. "Hey, you need Flats today," my partner said, referring to the fact that it had been cold outside all day. I laughed and said, "You're right, I do need something warm." But then they dropped another bombshell - "I think it's just you, though. You got lucky." Lucky? What did they mean by that?
As we continued to sort through the clothes, my partner mentioned that they had gotten some new packages in the mail. They showed me a card from Ross, which was addressed to them and Chris and Diana. I asked if they knew who it was from, but they just shrugged and said, "I think it's someone we know." It seemed like they were being secretive about it, so I decided not to pry.
As the day went on, my partner mentioned that they had been thinking a lot about Vlogs lately. They talked about how much they loved connecting with our audience and sharing their thoughts and experiences with us. "It's kind of like buying one get one free dinner," they joked. I laughed and said, "I think you're right - it is!"
Just then, my partner mentioned that they had been thinking about the weather a lot lately. They said that it had been gray all day and that they missed their favorite bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos from last night's dinner at a restaurant. They even joked that maybe we should have left there with some credit card information so we could pay for everything without drawing attention to ourselves.
As we continued to chat, my partner mentioned that they had almost stiffed the waiter the other day when we went back into the restaurant to pay for our meal. "We walked out and totally didn't pay," I said, laughing. But then they explained that they had realized they must have forgotten to pay earlier, so they went back in and paid with their credit card. It was kind of embarrassing, but also kind of funny.
Just as we were wrapping up the conversation, my partner mentioned that they loved watching our videos and following us on social media. They said that it's like having a virtual hangout session every day, and that I'm their favorite Vlogger (besides me, of course!). "You're always so witty and funny," they said. I beamed with pride - it meant the world to me that my partner enjoyed our content.
As we continued to chat, my partner mentioned that they had found a coupon for cake and ice cream in one of the packages from Ross. They pulled out the coupon and showed it to me, saying "I'm afraid to show you what's on the other side of the card." I teased them a bit about being cautious, but deep down, I knew that it was probably just something silly.
Just as we were getting into the Vlog vibe, my partner mentioned that they had received a package from Hawkeye, which included lip balm. They showed me the label and said "moose smooch cute." It seemed like a random gift, but I loved the thoughtfulness behind it.
As the day went on, we talked about all sorts of things - our favorite TV shows, our love for online shopping, and even our secret crushes (just kidding!). But amidst all the banter and jokes, my partner reminded me that we need to work through the clutter in our closet together. "We're going to have to sort through this stuff together," they said.
As I looked around at the mess of clothes and shoes, I knew that it was going to be a long process. But with my partner by my side, I felt like I could conquer anything.
