**Scribble: A Game-Changing Feature on Apple iPads**

With the release of iPad OS 14, Apple has introduced a new feature called Scribble, which allows users to write and convert handwritten notes into text using their Apple Pencil. This innovative feature is available on all iPads that support Apple Pencil, making it easy to create and edit notes, emails, and other documents without having to rely on the keyboard.

**Enabling Scribble**

To enable Scribble, simply open the Notes app or any other app with a search field, such as Safari. Tap the ellipsis icon in the top-right corner of the screen to access the pencil settings menu. From here, you can customize your typing experience by adjusting the sensitivity of the Apple Pencil, changing the control gesture between the eraser and tool, and more. However, the main feature that users are likely to be interested in is Scribble itself.

**Using Scribble**

With Scribble enabled, you can start writing with your Apple Pencil in any app that supports handwriting recognition. Simply tap on the screen to begin writing, and the notes will be converted into text automatically. This feature is incredibly convenient for taking notes, jotting down quick reminders, or even creating emails. Even those with less-than-perfect handwriting can benefit from Scribble, as it can detect and correct errors.

One of the most exciting features of Scribble is its ability to erase unwanted text. To do this, simply scribble over the text you want to remove, and it will be gone instantly. This feature saves time and frustration, making it a valuable addition to any iPad user's toolkit.

**Using Scribble in the Notes App**

To demonstrate the capabilities of Scribble, let's take a closer look at its use in the Notes app. Open the Notes app, and create a new note by tapping on the "New Note" button. Write a sentence or two using your Apple Pencil, and then tap the "Done" button to save the note. However, since we want to see Scribble's full potential, let's use the pencil settings menu to switch to Scribble mode.

**Pencil Settings Menu**

Tap on the ellipsis icon in the top-right corner of the screen to access the pencil settings menu. From here, you can customize your typing experience by adjusting the sensitivity of the Apple Pencil, changing the control gesture between the eraser and tool, and more. However, since we're interested in Scribble, let's focus on this new option.

**Scribble Settings**

Tap on the "Pencil" tab at the bottom of the screen to access the Scribble settings menu. Here, you can adjust various settings, such as the typing experience, undo/redo functionality, and more. Since we're interested in demonstrating Scribble's capabilities, let's leave these settings at their default values.

**Testing Scribble**

Now that we've enabled Scribble, let's test its features. Write a sentence or two using your Apple Pencil, and then tap on the "Undo" button to remove some of the text. You can also use the pencil to draw shapes or create artwork, which will be recognized as part of the note.

**Using Scribble in Search Bars**

One of the most exciting features of Scribble is its ability to work seamlessly with search bars and other fields that require typing input. Tap on any search bar or text field, and Scribble will automatically convert your handwriting into typed text. This feature is available in all apps that support search bars, making it a valuable addition to any iPad user's toolkit.

**Testing Scribble in Safari**

To test Scribble's capabilities in a more practical scenario, let's use the Safari app on an Apple Insider website. Tap on the search icon at the top-right corner of the screen, and start typing using your Apple Pencil. Watch as Scribble automatically converts your handwriting into typed text. You can also use the pencil to edit existing text, making it easy to navigate the web without relying on a keyboard.
