As I started taking my foot off the gas, I realized that I was driving an automatic transmission car, and I didn't know how to use the clutch, which is supposed to slow down the vehicle. Instead, it's designed for manual transmissions with a delay before shifting gears. However, the car shifted pretty fast, and it was smooth, so I had to adjust my expectations.
I went to visit Jeff in his new Ferrari, which he had just gotten an exhaust install on, including test pipes. The sound of the exhaust was really cool, and I could hear it when we were talking. It's not a perfect Ferrari, as it doesn't have power steering, and downshifting doesn't rev-match, but it's still pretty smooth.
When Jeff pulled out to leave, he had trouble turning around in my driveway because of the tight space. I told him not to hit the telephone pole, and we joked about how hard it would be for Nicole to drive this car without struggling with the steering wheel. As long as they were going straight, Jeff said she could try.
I asked Jeff if he knew why his Ferrari had become available, but he didn't want to share the story behind it, saying that I couldn't tell it better than he could. However, he hinted that there was a crazy story involved and joked about being an entrepreneur himself. He mentioned that my other videos would showcase business ideas as well as car-related content.
After Jeff left, I decided to go drifting for fun, despite not feeling like filming. I had been stressed out lately, but I still wanted to create some clips for social media. Unfortunately, nighttime drifting events aren't my thing because I have trouble seeing and judging distances. Instead, I went for a ride and didn't film anything.
The next day, my friend Matt filmed me riding around while I worked on getting closer to the barrier during our night drift event. He also captured some outside angles of my car drifting, which turned out well. Despite not feeling like filming, I enjoyed the experience and was glad to have someone to capture my drifts for me.
I wanted to reward my viewers for sticking through this video by announcing a giveaway. There's a Ferrari behind me, but it has nothing to do with the prize – Jeff had just taken possession of his brother's car after they had to leave due to the Auto Train cancellation. The real prize is an opportunity to compete in a high-score competition using my 240SX, which is featured in the thumb drift app.
To participate in the competition, you need to share your high score on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #lzd for thumb drift. Thumb Drift is a mobile game where players can control me and compete against others to get the highest scores. The game developers are always looking for ways to promote their app, and they have chosen to feature my car in the game.
I'm grateful to the people at Thumb Drift for putting my car in the game and creating an opportunity for fans to engage with me in a new way. I've already received some amazing fan art featuring my 240SX in the game, which is always cool. Now, it's your turn – get out there and show off your skills on thumb drift!
