**Customizing Your Android Device**
Dual Window Mode is a feature that allows you to have two windows open at the same time, giving you more real estate on your screen. This can be useful for multitasking and accessing different apps simultaneously. To enable Dual Window Mode, go to Settings > Advanced features and toggle it on.
You can also hide home touch buttons on certain apps by checking them off in this section. However, note that this feature is not applicable across all apps, and you need to specify which apps you want to apply this change to. Once enabled, these buttons will disappear from the screen, and you can always bring them back up by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.
Another useful feature is the ability to customize the appearance of your home screen. You can choose from a variety of fonts and colors, making it easier on the eyes. Additionally, you can change the size of icons by tapping "Show large icons" under Display settings.
Some Android phones also have a feature called "Invisible apps," which allows you to hide certain apps from view without deleting them. To enable this feature, go to Settings > Advanced features and toggle it on. This is particularly useful for removing pre-installed apps that your carrier wants you to use.
The device can also be customized for one-handed use. Go to Settings > General > One-handed operation and check off the boxes where you want to enable this feature. For example, you can change the layout of the dial pad or lock screen to make it easier to access these functions with one hand.
**Customizing Fonts**
You can customize the font used on your device by going to Settings > Display > Font type. You can choose from a variety of fonts that are pre-installed on the device, or you can download new ones from LG Smart World. To do this, tap "Plus" at the top right corner and select a new font. The new font will be applied throughout your system, giving you more control over the appearance of your device.
**Storage Optimization**
LG's "Smart Cleaning" feature allows you to free up storage space on your device by automatically removing temporary files and other data that is no longer needed. To access this feature, go to Settings > General > Smart cleaning. Toggle it on, and then tap "Clean" to begin the process. This freed up 243 megabytes of storage space on our test device.
**Guest Mode**
LG's Guest mode allows you to create a separate account for guests to use, giving them limited access to your device. To enable this feature, go to Settings > General > Guest mode and toggle it on. You will be prompted to set up a new pin for the guest account. Once set up, guests can use this account to access certain apps and features, while you remain in control of your main account.
**Gestures**
The device also supports gestures, such as pulling down the notification shade or swiping from the bottom to pause videos. To enable these gestures, go to Settings > General > Gestures. You can toggle them on or off as desired, and customize their settings to suit your needs. For example, you can enable the gesture to automatically answer calls when they are received.

hold the volume up button till it vibrates and get to quick memo for jotting down notes you can double tap the screen by default to unlock the device you can change the effect that the screen uses by going to settings display lock screen and screen swipe effect from light particle to let's try Vector Circle also if you to settings display then lock screen uh you can change the lock timer which I highly recommend doing um change it to a higher number say 30 minutes uh says that whenever the screen is locked uh it'll be 30 minutes between times that you've unlocked it before it will actually require a pin code which is very helpful if you say unlock and lock your phone a lot you can also customize these uh shortcuts down here that when you swipe up they take you you to that app from the lock screen by going to settings lock screen shortcuts then in here if you tap the little gear you can change it to whatever app you want or even remove it entirely if you want say a cleaner lock screen okay just like most of the new flagship devices this has a universal remote buil in but one of the different differentiators that's kind of cool is if you go to your apps go to Quick Remote uh you can tap the plus sign and add a new uh TV or universal remote whatever you need to just like all of the other ones for the most part but you can also tap these three dots up here and hit learn remote and then tap what button you want to change so let's do the power button and then you can tap and hold the remote button uh the same button that you want to copy up to the top of the device until it says it got got it and uh it's a quick and cool way of copying your current remote you can add or remove items from the notification shade um by scrolling all the way to the right and you'll see edit and then you can just check or uncheck the things that you want in there uh you can also reorganize them and move them around uh and there's even things in here like the Q slide which takes up a lot of space Also the notification shade um it may not be apparent at first but tapping these will actually turn those systems on and off but you can hold down on them to be taken to the actual settings page you can set it up so that uh each of these screens has its own background on this phone so you can do that by going to settings home screen wallpaper multi photo and then tap on the image to choose whatever image you want to use crop it and repeat that for as many home screens as you want then hit apply and now as you swipe the home screen will change uh you can use two apps at once using their dual window by tapping this multitasking down here at the bottom right then tapping dual window and then you can choose two apps from in here it's only ones that are approved by LG just so you know um but you can tap and drag one up and tap and drag one down then you can use this slider to adjust uh the ratio you can also tap that to get other options like swapping them choosing say a different app full screening one of the the apps and closing the app you going have apps float on top of the screen as well um to easily get to that we're going to add something back in here which is called Q slide now this is basically what I'm talking about so now that that's in here you can tap the app to have it show up and floating on top you can also adjust the transparency of each of them by dragging the slider and as you open other apps they still remain unless you open the app that is in the Q slide window and then of course you can tap to remove them you can get a bit more screen real estate if you pull down uh the notification shade tap on the gear to get to settings tap on display tap on home touch buttons and here we can actually first off we can change the combination of them so you can add like that Q slide thing that I just had in the notification you can have that down here if you wanted uh you can add quick memo notifications dual window whatever you want you can also change the color make it transparent or not uh and then also here to get more real estate on the screen you can do hide home touch buttons uh it's specific to different apps which is odd uh you can't just do it for across the board but let's say you wanted to do it for Chrome um you just check off whatever you want and then whenever you open that app you'll notice that those buttons just kind of disappear if you ever want those buttons to come back you just swipe up from the bottom and then they appear for a temporary amount of time within that app you actually open the app drawer and then you can customize the sort order by tapping the three dots at the top and hitting View apps bu download date sometimes is a little better than the other ones but whatever you want uh you can also tap show large icons and it'll make the icons larger you can also hide in show apps a lot of the Android phones now have this feature but it's handy uh especially we're getting rid of all the blow Weare that your carrier puts in here if you don't feel like rooting to get rid of it but that's another video so you can just tap that and then check them off oh look at all that so annoying goodbye um and then hit the check box and now you won't have to look at them you can make the device easier to use uh with one hand if you want by going to settings again General one-handed operation and then checking off where you want this to be enabled so let's just do it in everywhere um and then now whenever you use those certain things you'll notice for example the dial pad is now a little bit to the right uh you can tap this Arrow to move it to the left instead depending on what hand you use for your phone same thing happens if you have a pin for your lock screen or when typing messages you can change the font on the device by going to settings display font type uh and you can either choose from one of the ones that are pre-installed or if you tap this Plus at the top right you'll be taken into LG Smart World which is their Marketplace and you can choose from any of the ones that are here tap download and you can go back to settings and fonts whenever that's ready and you'll see the new font down there you can tap it and then it'll change the font throughout your system any way to kind of gain some storage back LG's put a thing called smart cleaning in here so we're going to go to settings General smart cleaning and then it's going to calculate what it thinks it can save us uh so we can get rid of things out of the temporary files by tapping on that and tapping clean and it freed up 243 megabytes with that and the download folder clean and there you go like on most Android devices nowadays LG is also put in a guest mode so if you go to settings General guest mode you can actually go in here and tap allow apps choose the different apps that you want the person to be able to use in guest mode they're the only apps they'll be able to use you can tap wallpaper to go in here and change the wallpaper for their guest mode it shows you kind of what it's going to look like up here and lock screen type and then you can if you don't already have a pin set for your main account you're going to have to put that in first first then it's going to ask you to set a pin for guest mode so let's just do continue and then confirm it and then finally turn it on from there and if you enter your normal pin you'll go to your main screen if you enter the guest pin you'll go to guest mode the device can also use gestures like other Android devices so pull down the notification go to settings General and tap on gestures and then you can turn them on or off if you want to use them or not and you can kind of just read through here to see what there are there's not many of them but basically it's flipping the phone to stop alarms pause videos uh silence an incoming call also if you pick up the phone when it's ringing it'll automatically kind of Fade Out the ringtone so it's not so loud because it knows you are aware um and then also if you bring the phone directly to your ear it will actually answer the call and there you go I hope that helped some of you um and let me know what you guys think let me know in the comments or uh reach out to me on Twitter Facebook or Google+ all at the unlocker and let me know if you
