The Infiniti Q70L: A Luxury Vehicle with Exceptional Comfort and Features
The new Infiniti Q70L is offered with the optional long wheelbase model, which has become the standard for this vehicle. The long wheelbase variant stretches six inches over the standard car, providing exceptional rear legroom. However, it's worth noting that while it offers great comfort, it does not have all the creature comforts one might expect in a luxury car like the Mercedes S-Class or Audi A8.
One of the most interesting features of the transmission is its learning algorithm, which senses the driver's style and adjusts the shift accordingly. In Sport mode, the transmission will automatically downshift when braking, making it a convenient feature for drivers who value performance. The long wheelbase variant also has heated seats as standard, but unfortunately, it does not offer some of the luxury features that one might expect in a car of this class.
The interior styling of the Q70L is not particularly unique, but it's nice to see. The quality of the materials and small details are what make it truly special. For example, the door panels have a beautiful wavy design, while the wood trim adds an upscale vibe to the cabin. Additionally, the seats are very comfortable, especially when cooled down.
The handling of the Q70L is decent but not sporty by any means. Body roll is minimal, and the 0-60 time is actually quite impressive, coming in under six seconds. However, one can opt for a naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower, along with a sports package that includes bigger wheels, four-wheel steering, and powerful brakes.
In terms of ride quality, the Q70L strikes the perfect balance between firmness and softness. It's neither too stiff nor too squishy, making it an enjoyable drive on both winding roads and highway cruising. Infiniti has incorporated a number of sound-dampening features, including active noise cancellation, to minimize exterior road noise.
One of the key benefits of the long wheelbase variant is its exceptional cargo space and rear legroom compared to its competitors in a similar price range. The Q70L also offers a lot of technology, including radar-guided cruise control, lane keeping assist, a backup warning system, and Infiniti's 360-degree view camera system.
The interior design may not be earth-shatteringly unique, but it's clear that attention was paid to detail. The analog clock adds an upscale touch to the cabin, while the seats are both comfortable and functional. In fact, even Eddie, who has had his seats turned down multiple times for cooling purposes, found them to be quite effective.
In conclusion, the Infiniti Q70L is a luxury vehicle that offers exceptional comfort and features at a price point of around $54,000. While it may not compete directly with German luxury cars like the Mercedes S-Class or Audi A8, it's certainly worth cross-shopping with those models due to its impressive cargo space and rear legroom. With its refined ride quality, advanced technology features, and beautiful interior design, the Q70L is a car that one would not object to driving or being driven in on a daily basis.
The Infiniti Q70L is now available for purchase at dealerships across the country, and it's worth taking a look. With its unique combination of comfort, technology, and features, this vehicle is sure to impress even the most discerning drivers.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso previously known as the infinity m the new q70 is offered with the optional long wheelbase model standard is the 3.7 liter v6 which produces 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque you can upgrade to a 5.6 liter v8 which produces a large 420 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque and while it's not offered on the long wheelbase model you can get a hybrid engine which has a combined output of 360 horsepower the only transmission available is a 7-speed automatic it can send the power to either the rear wheels or an optional all-wheel drive system 0-60 happens in a little less than 6 seconds and fuel economy sits at 18 mpg city and 24 highway an interesting feature of the transmission is it has a learning algorithm that senses your driving style and will change the shift style accordingly something cool we already noticed was in sport mode when you're braking it would automatically downshift for you the long wheelbase variant is stretched six inches over the standard car this gives you exceptional rear legroom the headroom is great as well it doesn't offer some of the creature comforts that you're used to in a long wheelbase luxury car it doesn't have the rear seat entertainment a beautiful center console or massaging seats but it does have heated seats no it cannot compete with cars like the mercedes s-class or the audi a8 however it actually is within 1.2 inches of legroom of the s-class and this car is half as much it's 54 000 so it's a competitor to the mercedes e-class and the bmw 5 series for 1500 that's what the option costs to get the long wheelbase it makes absolute sense i don't know why you wouldn't order it and it provides excellent comfort and there's no reason you couldn't sit back here for an extremely long road trip and enjoy it the infiniti q70l has soft closed rear doors a feature that's normally reserved for much pricier cars if you close the door lightly and it doesn't close all the way the system finishes it for you it's a nice added bonus the interior of the q70 is extremely similar to the rest of infinity's lineup so you get great leather covering all the contact surfaces there's a nice bose sound system with an optional fancier surround sound system that has speakers embedded within the front seats we have heated and cooled seats also there's a whole host of safety tech some of the really cool ones are you have radar guided cruise control there is a lane keeping assist there's the backup warning system and also infiniti's 360-degree view camera system the interior styling is not earth-shatteringly unique it is nice the real beauty comes in the quality of the materials and the small details i love the way the door panels look this wavy design is excellent the wood trim is nice the analog clock gives it an upscale vibe and the seats are very comfortable as well and eddie has turned my seats to the cooled setting for the fifth time and they work really well because i'm now freezing for a long wheelbase car the handling is decent it's not sporty by any means but body roll isn't over the top and well a six second zero to 60 doesn't sound that impressive on paper or just under it actually is a fairly fast car you mash the pedal that picks up pretty good for those that are looking for more performance you can opt for the naturally aspirated v8 that thing will produce 420 horsepower i said before and also it has a sports package which gets you bigger wheels you got four wheel steering and also really powerful brakes the ride quality in the q70 l is right where it needs to be it's neither too firm nor too soft and it's very isolated in the interior infiniti has incorporated lots of sound deadening including this active noise cancellation system that's supposed to eliminate exterior road noise and it does so quite well yes usually when you think about a long wheelbase vehicle you assume that the driving dynamics will be ruined it'll be really heavy and horrible but in this vehicle it's only 100 pounds more than the regular wheelbase model so you get all the great benefits of having a stretched vehicle but not the crazy high price tag of the german limousines if you're looking into the mercedes e-class or the bmw 5-series you should also consider cross-shopping the infiniti q70l this car offers a lot more cargo space and a lot more rear legroom than pretty much any of its competitors in a similar price range yes you get a great interior a lot of technology in it and also the refreshed design is pretty eye-catching it's a car that i would not object to driving or being driven in on a daily basis special thanks to infiniti of ann arbor michigan for making this review possible this car is available there now for a tad over fifty four
