The Nürburgring: A Test Drive Like No Other

I found myself behind the wheel of a Porsche Panamera Turbo GT, a car that embodies the perfect blend of speed and agility. The moment I put it in gear, I knew I was in for a wild ride. The GT's 1100 horsepower engine seemed to come alive as I accelerated down the track, leaving all other cars in its wake. But what really caught my attention was the way the car handled on the Nürburgring's famous Nordschleife circuit.

As I navigated the twisting roads and steep hills of the track, I was struck by the Panamera's incredible stability and balance. The GT's active ride system kicked in seamlessly, adjusting to every bump and turn with precision. It was as if the car was "teleporting" around corners, its front end dipping and rising like a pro dancer's movements. The result was a truly immersive driving experience that left me grinning from ear to ear.

But what really set the Panamera apart from other high-performance cars was its incredible downforce. With a mere 200 pounds of grip at full throttle, I could feel the car pulling hard into every turn. It was like being in a spaceship, with the G-forces pushing me deep into my seat. The Panamera's rear end would occasionally lose traction, sending the nose skidding out slightly before recovering to its original position. This understeer was minor, but it was enough to make me pay attention and adjust my driving style accordingly.

The car's incredible acceleration was another highlight of our test drive. We were instructed to run a slalom section of the track, with some very tight turns that required precise control. I was amazed by how quickly the Panamera accelerated out of each turn, leaving me struggling to keep up. The camera blocking my view of the speedometer didn't matter – I could feel the acceleration pushing me deep into my seat.

As we made our way through the Nordschleife, I couldn't help but think about the Porsche's clever design. By removing the rear seats and adding a small wing, Porsche has created a car that is both fast and agile. And with its advanced active ride system, the GT can adapt to any driving situation, whether it's on the track or on the road.

But I have to ask: who is this car really for? Is it for hardcore racing enthusiasts who need a car that can keep up with their skills? Or is it for everyday drivers who just want a fun and exciting car to own? The answer is that Porsche has created a car that can cater to both types of buyers. With its incredible performance, advanced technology, and comfortable ride, the Panamera Turbo GT is perfect for anyone who wants to drive like they're flying.

In fact, I think one of the most impressive things about the Panamera is how much it can do in terms of handling and acceleration. The car's 1100 horsepower engine makes it feel almost otherworldly on the track, with its front end dipping and rising as if it were alive. And when you add in Porsche's clever Active Ride system, which can adjust to any driving situation, the result is a truly magical driving experience.

But what really caught my attention was when I took the car out of Sport Plus mode and into normal mode. Suddenly, the GT felt much more approachable, with the Active Ride system providing a smooth ride that was perfect for everyday driving. And yet, even in this mode, the Panamera still delivered incredible acceleration and handling, making it feel like a serious racing machine.

In short, my test drive of the Porsche Panamera Turbo GT was an unforgettable experience that left me grinning from ear to ear. With its incredible performance, advanced technology, and comfortable ride, this car is perfect for anyone who wants to drive like they're flying. Whether you're a hardcore racing enthusiast or just someone who wants a fun and exciting car to own, the Panamera Turbo GT is definitely worth considering.

A Few Words About Active Ride

One of the things that really impressed me about the Porsche Panamera Turbo GT was its advanced Active Ride system. This clever technology uses sensors and actuators to adjust the suspension and steering in real-time, allowing the car to adapt to any driving situation. Whether it's on the track or on the road, the Active Ride system can provide a smooth ride that's perfect for everyday driving.

But what really caught my attention was when I took the car out of Sport Plus mode and into normal mode. Suddenly, the GT felt much more approachable, with the Active Ride system providing a comfortable ride that was perfect for cruising around town. And yet, even in this mode, the Panamera still delivered incredible acceleration and handling, making it feel like a serious racing machine.

I have to say, I'm really impressed by Porsche's clever use of technology in the Panamera Turbo GT. The Active Ride system is just one example of how the company has thought outside the box to create a car that can cater to any driving situation. And with its incredible performance and advanced features, it's no wonder that this car is generating so much buzz among car enthusiasts.

Conclusion

As I left the Nürburgring and put the Porsche Panamera Turbo GT back in park, I couldn't help but feel impressed by what I had experienced. This car is truly a masterpiece of modern engineering, with its incredible performance, advanced technology, and comfortable ride making it perfect for anyone who wants to drive like they're flying. Whether you're a hardcore racing enthusiast or just someone who wants a fun and exciting car to own, the Panamera Turbo GT is definitely worth considering.

But for now, I think I'll just sit here and enjoy the afterglow of our test drive. After all, there's no feeling quite like driving a Porsche – it's an experience that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, even long after the car has stopped moving.

go around that track it also with large driving did a 127 and8 at lagona that is 2/10 of a second off the McLaren Senna now those numbers are nuts and that featured the troo RS Tire which is an allnew Tire uh for this car this one has the new plli uh r Tire which is the standard tire not the optional super sticky track tire so we're not going to get the ultimate in grip today but still this will be challenging so we are going to start with a launch from zero to I don't know 200k 2.2 seconds to 60 here we go oh God that's so uncomfortable you can hear it go from first to second gear and on on the brakes at about 200k there and uh let's let's go you've got that full power is available via an over boost function that they call Attack Mode which is accessible with the paddle shifter the left paddle toggles the regen the right paddle toggles the attack mode Attack Mode is good for 160 extra horsepower and you definitely feel it and you can use it over and over again with a break of only 4 seconds uh in between so I I will use it and show you where I'm going to use it the balance is so good this has the same Active Ride hydraulic suspension that the Panamera gets but holy shnikes the acceleration carbon ceramic brakes bespoke for this car they save weight versus other ceramic brakes in Porsche's lineup gold calipers very nice with the large fixed wing that is a nurburg ring setup for stability couple hundred lb of down Force at Vmax but at this track will create a little bit of under steer actually the nonv turbo GT with a back seat and no big Wing will have a bit more balanced handling but this one just looks cool so you can feel a little bit of balanced push there this car is so fast and we're going to run they want us to run through this slalom because they said if we ran the front straight clean we would be doing nearly 300K at the end of the front straight in this car I did 245k in the Panamera so that that would be a huge number to be doing with no helmet but even now well over 200k even using only half of the front straight and breaking very conservatively so a little bit of under steer into the hair pin and you can balance it on the throttle coming out it's very very deceptive the speed particularly because I have a camera blocking the speedometer and I have no idea how fast I'm going but you do the acceleration is just Bonkers uh you would make yourself quite nauseous running a fast Canyon in this car I don't know what the market is for a four-door car with rear seat delete um other than the very very hardcore but God damn is it crazy yes wo you really have to pay attention to where you're braking because the car is so fast that even with very powerful carbon ceramic brakes and good tires you could overdrive it and when you crash it's not going to be at 60 it's going to be at 160 here the Active Ride in this section will really just load up so nicely give you a couple degrees even uh what I like about Porsche's PSM is even when it's fully on like here you get a couple degrees of slip I like that even Lars says driving uh Nord schli with PSM on versus off not a lot of Advantage sorry this radio is knocking around I hope it's not bugging you oh we're going to I guess we're not doing the thing I guess we're just going to slow down and get some air on the brakes here we asked Porsche how long this system will last at at full kill mode and uh and they said basically a lap of the Nord schli plus a little bit so can you do a full 30 minute track session at full power uh no you cannot unfortunately so if I take it out of uh Sport Plus now and I go into normal mode I can now use that Active Ride to lean into the corner lean into the corner flare the nose when braking and dip the nose when accelerating Active Ride is so cool we'll go back back to Sport Plus and I can toggle car drops down this thing is so crazy the g-forces that it puts on your body under both acceleration and braking are nuts I mean it is it is Wing in a back seat that can still be used the daily driver and with Active Ride you really could it you don't have to choose the stiff ride you still will get that good ride and so that performance that will be on tap at any time I mean it's crazy I I said it to the engineers and the pr people I I just can't believe you're just selling this to regular people because it is so so fast so many people are going to crash these things because they just don't really understand what they are getting into and what this level of performance you know 1100 horsepower give or take on tap uh really means it's absolutely Bonkers and so although I have a limited amount of seat time here in Spain with the with the Ty on turbo GT I really uh I want to spend a week with it and and get to know it uh
