The Magic of Creating a Cozy Office Space: A Personal Decorating Journey

As I sat in my office, surrounded by the comforts of home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and contentment. It was as if the entire room had come together to create a warm and inviting space that reflected my personality. The little red jar from Dollar Tree, which I would be placing a tea light in, was just one simple item that seemed to pull everything together. "I did not anticipate how much I was going to love this combo right here," I thought to myself.

The jar's subtle charm was perfectly complemented by the beautiful candle stick holder from Hobby Lobby, which I had recently hauled in a video for my subscribers. The delicate design of the holder, adorned with cardinals, holly, and berries, added a touch of whimsy to the space. And then there was the little wreath twig thing at the bottom – I wasn't quite sure what to call it, but I knew it would look lovely if the candle stick holder was placed inside of it. The addition of depth and dimension to the room was just one of the many ways that decorating had pulled everything together.

When it came to building cohesion in my office space, I always try to incorporate materials that I've used in other places. For example, I had used a similar plaid paper on picture frames before – specifically, the same plaid paper that I'd wrapped my Twilight books with on a shelf. The familiar pattern added a sense of continuity and family to the room, as if all these elements were connected by some unseen thread.

Of course, one of the most important aspects of decorating is personal taste, and what's more festive than Christmas decorations? My office tree was a recent purchase from Walmart, and I was thrilled to have found it for just $39. The six-and-a-half-foot tree added a touch of height to the space, which was especially helpful given my high ceilings. To make it feel even more substantial, I placed it atop two trunks that were already part of my everyday decor.

As I gazed at the tree's delicate ornaments – including tiny white bells, small red glass balls, and beautiful cardinals – I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. The matching ribbon from Walmart had added a finishing touch to the top of the tree, creating a cohesive look that was both elegant and playful. But even with all these beautiful elements in place, it wasn't quite complete.

As for the final touch, I wanted something that would tie everything together. After some careful consideration, I decided on two beautiful wreaths to adorn my windows. office last year but this is part of that process where each year i either diy my decor or i haul some from like hobby lobby on sale and things like that and that's how i build so every year i add a little bit and before you know it you're going to have like a christmas museum at least that's what i'm going for i eventually want my house to look like mrs claus lives here that's the ultimate goal and so this year i'm actually decorating my office i've never actually shown what my office looked like before i rearranged it but i'm glad i rearranged it because if you would have seen them before um it's not good it's not good so this year it's just laid out so beautifully and it's all the same thing it's all the same furniture it's funny how moving your furniture around can really up the game you guys i had the same furniture again before and it looked so cheap the way i had it set up it looked like a mess and now that i haven't moved around it just looks beautiful in my opinion and i want to share with you how i decorate it it's just a little bit there are a couple of diys that i've done and some things are gifts and some things i've hauled so if you want to see how i decorated my office then stick with me and let's take a tour this is my office shelf and i love the way that it turned out so the little red truck is actually from target dollar spot i think it was about three dollars the picture frame of the truck is a gift bag from target dollar spot and that's a dollar tree picture frame that i painted white the two trees the red and the green are from the dollar tree the deer the great deer is from the dollar tree the books that it's sitting on actually sits in my everyday entryway decor but i moved it here and then the books that are in plaid is plaid wrapping paper and they're basically my twilight books that i wrapped with plaid paper from michael's i think it was a dollar fifty and the christmas plaid is also from michael's been as well and then i just added some gold vase in the back just to give it a little bit more color other than red and green now on to my desk so these are little snowflakes um that i bought somewhere i think it was target right after the christmas season was over some of it's actually broken but you really can't tell and i think they're really cute and i love the plaid aspect of the snowflakes and then i decided that the theme of this room is going to be cardinals so there are little cardinals spread out throughout my office i simply took a red velvet bow from walmart and i tied it to my lamp and honestly i really think that this red bow just kind of made the whole room even though it's just one simple little item i really feel like it just pulled it all together i did not anticipate how much i was going to candle really does give it this great ambiance and warm cozy feeling and of course what would christmas decor be without a nice mug of hot chocolate this little deer mug is from walmart he is too precious and i don't remember the price but it was something ridiculous like two dollars of course i added a ton of marshmallows because that's what i love and it's just so cozy doesn't it make you want some hot chocolate right now the next part of my office is honestly a miracle in itself so these pillows the pillow covers were from a subscriber they're so incredibly gorgeous and what i'm calling them a miracle is the coloring of them is just perfect for my office because as you can see the chair that it's sitting on has a very orange has like a 70s vibe to it honestly i don't know why i have that pattern in my room but these pillowcases were just perfect and i went to walmart and grabbed a 16 inch crafter's pillow they were about three bucks that was it and then i just stuffed them into the pillowcase and i was done so eventually i am going to upgrade those pillows to plaid pillows um plaid pillows i'm gonna upgrade my chair to a plaid chair eventually so maybe i'll end up doing a diy and recover that entire chair myself but i don't know if i can do that just yet and what obviously pulls this whole look together is this christmas tree this is the very first time i've had a christmas tree in my office again i've never even decorated it before and i recently got this christmas tree at walmart for 39 dollars it's six and a half foot and to make it taller because i do have very high ceilings in my house i simply put it on top of these trunks that are in my everyday decor in my office and it gave it like about 13 inches total in height so it's completely beautiful and the bow on top is from walmart for about eight dollars and then of course you're gonna find cardinals and all kinds of gorgeous little ornaments some of them are from the dollar tree the white bells the little small red ornaments and even the cardinals are from dollar tree i also bought the matching ribbon from the tree topper i think it's so beautiful i'm obsessed with this ribbon you guys also from walmart and eventually as time goes on i will be building more and more ornaments into this i really want some white glittery ornaments to make it pop i want this to be like a full blown cardinal room and that is my tree i will tell you it did come pre-lit because one of the hardest things for me to do is string lights inside of a christmas tree so if i were you i would buy pre-lit if you're
