**My YouTube Journey: From Random Hobby to Full-Time Dream Job**
As I sit here reflecting on my journey, it's hard not to feel a sense of amazement at how far I've come. From a random hobby that started back in 2008 to a full-time dream job, YouTube has been an incredible ride. For those who may not know, I've always been passionate about technology and sharing my knowledge with others.
I remember the early days when YouTube was still a relatively new platform. There weren't as many people on it as there are now, but that didn't stop me from experimenting and trying out new things. I started by showing my schoolmates how to jailbreak their iPod Touches, and then thought, "Why not share this with the world?" So, I uploaded a video or two to YouTube and saw what happened.
The response was overwhelming, and it quickly became clear that there were people out there who appreciated my content. That's when I knew I had found something special. As I continued to create videos on various topics related to technology, including iPhone and iOS stuff, the channel started to gain traction. I also experimented with other formats, such as a gaming channel where my gamertag was X Smuggle.
One of the highlights of my YouTube journey has been interacting with my audience through comments and ratings. It's amazing to see how much support I've received from people all over the world, and it's clear that they appreciate the hard work I put into creating these videos. I also love seeing the ratings and knowing that I'm making a positive impact on someone's day.
**My Passion for Sports**
But YouTube isn't the only passion of mine. I'm also extremely passionate about sports, particularly baseball. Growing up, I played baseball my entire life, and even dabbled in football and basketball. There's something about the thrill of competition that really gets me pumped up. Watching the NBA playoffs is always a highlight for me, and I try to stay up-to-date with the latest news and updates from around the league.
**My Dream Job: Employing People**
Now that I've established myself on YouTube, my dream job would be to have a company where I can employ many people who share my passion and interests. I love the idea of being able to hire people who are just as passionate about technology, sports, or whatever it is that I'm interested in, and being able to support them in their careers.
I know it may sound weird, but there's something really rewarding about thinking about being able to pay people a living wage and knowing that my success has enabled them to thrive. It's not just about making money; it's about creating opportunities for others.
**Meeting Fans in Real Life**
Unfortunately, I haven't met many fans in real life yet. While I have interacted with some people at Apple Stores who recognize me as a creator of YouTube videos, it hasn't been the same as meeting someone who genuinely admires my work and is excited to talk about it. That would be amazing!
**Other Channels and Projects**
Over the years, I've created several other channels on various topics, including iOS-related channels like "App Reviews 101" and "Speaker Tech". These were fun experiments that allowed me to explore different areas of interest and connect with people who shared my passions.
Some of these channels may not have been as consistent or successful, but they helped me develop my skills and build my confidence as a creator. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll revisit some of those old projects and bring them back to life.
**Why I Started YouTube**
So, why did I start YouTube in the first place? Honestly, it was just a random hobby that started out of curiosity and excitement about technology. I didn't want to make money or become famous; I just wanted to share my knowledge with others and see what happened.
Looking back, it's amazing how much passion and energy I've poured into this platform over the years. From experimenting with different formats to connecting with an audience that has grown exponentially, YouTube has been a wild ride. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll hit 300,000 subscribers and be able to make my dream job a reality!
