The world of books and reading is a vast and wondrous place, full of characters, stories, and experiences that can leave us feeling guilty about not finishing a book. This sentiment was echoed by one reader who confessed to only giving a few pages to a book before setting it aside, feeling that they had given it a fair shot. However, this reader also admitted to not always feeling guilty about not finishing a book, instead acknowledging that sometimes they just don't feel like reading something.
For another reader, the question of what is their least favorite book is a bit more straightforward. They mentioned "The Love That Split the World" by Emily Henry as one of their least favorites, but didn't elaborate on why. On the other hand, they did mention that Rachel Hawkins's books are some of their favorites, and did not get an advance copy of Lindsay Leese's latest book, "Lamb." Instead, they had already bought it and were waiting to read it.
The question of what book a reader should start with is also a common one. One reader mentioned that Sarah Dessen's books are some of their favorites, and would recommend starting with "Truth About Forever" or another great book by the author. They also recommended other books such as "Lock and Key" and just "Listen", saying that any one of those four books would be a good place to start.
A reader also shared their own story of how they got into reading Sarah Dessen's books, mentioning that a friend introduced them to her writing at the age of 16. The reader confessed that they owe a lot of gratitude to this friend, who showed them the door to an amazing author and opened up a world of possibilities for them. They acknowledged that it's not always easy to meet new people, but in this case, the introduction was made all the more special by the fact that it was through a mutual acquaintance.
Finally, a reader asked what their favorite characters are, mentioning that they would identify with Zelena from "The Traveling Pants" series. However, as they got older, they found themselves identifying with other characters as well - particularly Carmen Lowell, who they saw as more of an embodiment of their own personality traits. The reader noted that it's okay to have multiple favorite characters, and that sometimes our tastes can evolve over time.
In this article, we've explored the world of books and reading through the eyes of several readers. We've touched on topics such as finishing books, least favorite books, book recommendations, getting into new authors, and finding favorite characters. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today I'm here to answer some of your questions so last week I decided to make a video and just telling you guys to ask your questions I got a lot of great questions actually making this video a few partners the first since when did bookish questions no one's going to be their personal on like TV and maybe some book two questions so obviously today is the bookish question so I have about 20 questions here and hopefully I can answer them very quickly and efficiently and just get right on to the questions i was first question comes from Madeline l and it she said and she asked what is your reading routine and what is your favorite season to read it I have mrs. o reading routine I'd say the majority of when I read is at night time after my son goes to sleep and occasionally when I don't have videoed film or I don't have to play it or if I don't want photos to edit then I will read on his neck and his nap time so pretty much my reading is with my son sleeps so that's my reading or D guess if it is a reading routine and my favorite season to read it I think would have to be fall and winter I think when it gets colder outside there's literally nothing better funds and growing up in my bed or on the couch opening blankets are putting blankets all around me either cooking like hot cocoa or hot coffee and reading a book I just love what it's really cold outside reading inside that is probably my favorite students to read in the next question comes from Israel Leon asked what book cover on your shelf would you read designs gonna have to go to shades of Earth by Beth Revis I really want to design its cover number 11 because I do not like to cover all number two it's not cohesive to the first two books like these the first two books covers galactic stuff and then we have jungle I would redesign this and offer beat to match these because these are beautiful this is not imel is asking how many how many books do you roughly read a month and is there one book that's been on your team euro for over a year roughly i'd say a good reading must for me or see generally is probably five to six books by leaning towards five books and mother said what I think I average right about now so that's pretty good and one boat that's been on my TBR shop for a while as I can't reach it but the end the weights by Marie Lu it's been shelf now prob about two years yeah question comes from Abby and she asked what is one of your favorite books that you have recently read and that one is definitely and I have to go to vicious by ve Schwab I've talked about the slot machine but is literally the last amazing women I've read air be 5500 as what do you like most about reading life lessons morals etc what I like most about reading is that it takes me to another place you know especially with fanta series i think you get transported to the world you wouldn't ever read you get transferred in there and get like seven soldiers our life it's like I feel like I'm not even here what I'm really i'm in that story so I that's what I love most about reading takes you places Jesus lover asked besides Harry Potter what is your favorite series that's a good question i think it's a toss-up between the naf saturday mosques hey you saved a mess is what's because i love and probably um any of Cassandra Clare's books because i just love them so so those two i guess would be my answer i mean here if I was always gonna be ultimate of course he also as if you could trade places with any fictional character who would you trade places with my and I will have to say obviously Hermione Granger from Harry Potter I think I was just like being a part of golden trio and just one of those adventures even though they're scary adventures and it would just be fun and amazing at least a mask what are your thoughts about the divergent finale becoming a TV movement and spin off and said of theaters do you know what I honestly I don't really care about it I know it's horrible to say but I view I love divergent I said that time time again I liked insurgent do not like Allegiant and the movie divergent I was okay with it wasn't amazing and I have still yet to watch insurgent or Allegiant part 1 because I just think they just did not even consider the book at all they just threw it out the window and some luscious mix something totally different so I refuse to watch those and my surprise it's getting this is happening not at all because it didn't do well in box offices because I think I didn't stay true to the book and it was just another divergent was kind of hard to translate the screen because it's got it's got such an intricate type of plot in my opinion so I mean it is what it is I'm not mad about it I'm not happy about it I'm just blase on them I think it's that horrible to say I still love divergent guys I will always love me some Tristan for for a lot yes are you going to watch fantastic beasts and where to find it when it comes out you bet I am that is the nipomo excited for this year is that movie and I'm going to watch the mesfet but II World 645 asked what isn't under the radar book you recommend it she and they said besides the running dream haha already friends have one probably one is gonna say you know me so well um that's a good question i don't know many under 30 books i've read this year but i have a whole video talking about this underrated book so i'll link it right here if you want to check it out i think i talked about 10 it's a big wide array for you to choose from Anderson asked do you like the original twilight to death better I will always say the original twilight because i read the hat when it first came out I was an OG in that thing I read it when I was high school I have such fond memories Twilight so it will always see twilight and I it I think it's just better written and it's a little bit easier to comprehend because of you know they change so many things in life and death and ask how much time on average how much time do you spend per week reading and that's a good question i don't know i mean i'd say if i'm really into a book at night times that's usually when i read i say i can get a good hour reading in if i read every hour if i read an hour every night for that seven hours a week maybe that's probably stretching it i would probably say around five hours a week which is like you're good are you heard so many cooks um it depends sometimes I'll have that trip tonight sometimes i just read pretty fast so i say five hours but that is a total up near guess gabriella asked how long did it take you to collect the amount of books you have to this day i remember i started book to honestly i didn't have that many books i serve booktube and of course book to just makes you buy books because that's what it does so i'm going to say probably about five years then five years sort of this channel see books as what our favorite fantasy reads and what are your future plans for reading now that summer is almost over I here at fantasy reads the first thing that comes to mind is those around blasters by sara tommasi as well as the court of thorns rose the series I think I'm features my favorite fantasies right now that could change in three years who knows that's right here fantasy reads right now my plans for reading for summer it's over so much usually really good time for me to read because um I don't have many weddings in July and August because it is crazy hot here so that's what I generally have more free time because I'm not doing as many photo shoots of weddings and stuff so I don't know within the fall actually picks back up I don't thing you know just to be consistent with reading 5 books a month when it comes to september-october november december hopefully that'll be happy hopefully that will happen if not it's ok jg the awkward bookworm asked and she found it's on my channel a lot so high jg i do read all her comments you're great um she has so many books do I own total and I don't have well i was gonna count and I was like lazy because I'm lazy I want to see maybe 200 maybe 250 thats we're gonna end up with my ball park around there well around there if you want to get crazy and watch my bookshelf to work out all the books go for it but I'm sure that'll be super bored and be cracks reads asked a whole bunch of questions she asked um who is your favorite teacher at Hogwarts definitely McGonagle who should favorite secondary character in harry potter well that's a good question secondary character so really like luna and jeanne i love jenni i I've rediscovered my love for Ginny while reading Harry Potter books because Washington movies I was like oh Jenny but then i'm reading the books on my chinny just pretty awesome how queer toss to you and I'm a Gryffindor i have taken several test and it always been a Gryffindor I don't expect truly true it's a sorting hat with me bird from the window like for realsies I would love it and do you um give me any used book stores in my area yes but they're not so good of the my selections I did not visit so my boss Olivia Malloy asked what is your favorite Harry Potter book hands down the third one Harry Potter the person or Azkaban I would have to say my second thing would have to be probably harry potter it'd be tight between the hafla prints and deathly hallows it's a tie between them I really feel like I love the Deathly house because a lot of adventure and amazing things happen in that book so I promise say that one the seventh what's the third and the seventh one Latino 8's if you had it if you had to choose would you rather read only standalone books or series for the rest of your life and I think honestly I do stand alone because I love series but i think if i had read the same series like the rest of my life i would get bored the characters that would get kind of repetitive with stand-alones the only qualm with that is you know i would want more of the characters but at least i would have so many more books to read the following all the different things so unless it's a standalone this point in time era su ever felt guilty about not finishing a book and yes and no I think I probably do that a lot more than you guys now sometimes I'll certify 50 pages in I'm just like oh I'm not feeling it I don't feel bad because I think I have all intentions of coming back settled in the future and if I do come back to it in the future and I'm still not feeling it I'm not even gonna try it so I don't feel good about it because I felt I feel like I try to get every book a fair shot so you know try to give a few pages and I'll maybe put on my shelf for a while and welcome back to it still not really into it then that's just how it is I can't but forge myself to read some I don't want but I don't really feel good just for the most part now he's a mess what is your least favorite book 716 the love that split the world clean not going to say much more but I feel at prime V lady renegades a Rachel Hawking's those ledoux I think better buddy's favorite from this year Sandy Roberts as did you get advance copy of lamb or are these new book Truly Madly guilty if yes did you read it and just still looking forward to it no I did not get advance copy reader because I'm you I'm not quite I don't get a lot of Arts and when it comes to like the adult books Department i'm still kind of new to that but i did already buy it it just came out yesterday so I've already bought it and I'm waiting to greet it I'm saving it for a rainy day no I'm probably gonna read it really soon and when I believe you made when i read it i will review it because I love me some way more on tape okay ask what's iridescent book should I read first that is a great question i get this question a lot of thing and I just have so many different answers i would say my favorites of hers or st. anything just listed as a great one the truth about forever oh I love the truth about forever maybe start down and that's a great one okay before saying anything i would say truth about forever and then i would say say anything that i would say lock and key and then just listen I would say those four start with any one of those you'll be fine and dandy another sarah dessen question Jackie asked how did you get into reading sarah dessen books and it's an interesting story I think I found Sarah Dessen when I was about 16 and was a friend of a friend was talking about sarah dessen she loves her book so much and I decided to try reading it and that's how I found serious and ever since then I've been sepsis iridescence so I leap over her name she was because she was a friend of a friend like a friend you know some obscure person has introduced one of my favorite authors to me so that's just insane and how that can happen to you he may not even know a person that well but then they show you the doors to this amazing author and you just fall in love and you owe all that I owe that person so many like feelings and happiness because she introduced me into sarah dessen so thank you whoever you are I think her name was sherry yes I mishary yes Thank You sherry bruna to me this Eric doesn't next question is from Christina and she asks are you Lena Timmy Bridget or Carmen which is all the sister of the Traveling Pants I would have to say I've always identified myself Zelena she's artistic and kind of quiet and I felt like I'm like her but then as I get older I get a little bit more open to know just be talking and it starts gonna half between Carmen 89 I feel like there was I got the artistic side but I can also be very fiery and just speak my mind and you know all that kind of stuff to put just resembles Carmen so i probably say those two it I recognizing those wish he was tired I'm tired I feel like I answered those rapid fire that's okay but anyway this was part one of my Q&A and look out for my part 2 coming up really really soon when I'm up right after this man it's gonna be all my personal and other various type of questions so if you like the studio please give it a thumbs up
