My Makeup - Softer, Diffused and Blurred

The Beauty of EM: A Journey of Innovation and Intention

As I sit in front of my camera, getting ready to share with you one of my favorite products from my brand, EM Cosmetics, I am filled with excitement and gratitude. My journey into creating this lip cream began years ago, when I first started experimenting with different formulas and ingredients. I wanted to create a product that would not only look beautiful but also feel amazing on the lips. I spent countless hours researching, testing, and refining my idea, determined to bring something truly special to the market.

As I apply the product to my lips, I am reminded of the journey that led me here. I remember the first time I tried a lip cream that didn't dry out my lips or leave any residue behind. It was like a revelation – I had been searching for this product for so long, and it felt like I finally found what I was looking for. But as I delved deeper into the world of cosmetics, I realized that there were many other products on the market that claimed to have similar benefits but fell short in some way.

I decided then and there that I wanted to create a product that would not only meet but exceed expectations. I wanted a lip cream that would be soft and blurring, yet hydrating and nourishing. A product that would feel weightless on the lips but still provide long-lasting wear. It was a lofty goal, but one that I was determined to achieve.

As I show you the different shades of my lip cream, each with its unique character and charm, I want you to know that every color has been carefully crafted to evoke a particular emotion or mood. From the soft, petal-like quality of Tender to the bold, rosy undertone of Petal, each shade is designed to make you feel beautiful. And as you see the different textures and finishes, I hope you can appreciate the attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of this product.

But what truly sets my lip cream apart from others on the market is its unique formula. Developed over years of testing and refinement, this blend of ingredients provides a level of hydration and nourishment that few other products can match. It's not just about looks – it's about feeling beautiful inside and out. And as you apply the product to your lips, I hope you'll feel the same sense of excitement and satisfaction that I do every time I wear it.

As I talk about my product, I want to share with you the story behind its development. It's a journey that was not without its challenges and setbacks, but one that ultimately led to the creation of something truly special. From working with lab teams around the world to pouring over every detail, every ingredient, and every finish, I can honestly say that this product is the result of an all-out effort to bring something new and innovative to the market.

And as you buy my lip cream, I want you to know that you're not just buying a product – you're supporting a small business, women-owned and led. We're passionate about creating makeup products that are not only beautiful but also intentional. Our philosophy is simple: we believe that beauty should be felt, not just seen. Every product we launch is designed with this intention in mind, from the elegant textures to the finish, every color development.

As I look around my studio, I'm reminded of the power of intention and creativity. From the beautiful packaging to the carefully crafted ingredients, every aspect of our brand has been designed to make you feel beautiful. And as you watch me get ready for this interview, I hope you'll see the same passion and dedication that goes into every product we create.

So thank you for joining me on this journey, and I hope you'll join me in experiencing the beauty of EM Cosmetics. Whether you're looking for a lip cream that's soft and blurring or one that's bold and statement-making, I'm confident that our products have something for everyone. And as always, thank you for supporting small businesses like ours – we couldn't do it without you!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enHello, everyone. So I'm at my office and on Fridayseveryone works from home.So I have a few interviews todayand I figured why not just get readyand film it along the way?So if you're also getting ready, you can get ready along with me.All right.I'm going to begin firstwith my basic makeup, and I'm using heremy tried and true EM Daydream Cushion. This is not your average cushion.I knowthere's a lot of cushions out there, and I'm the type of personwhere I feel like if there's somethingthat exists in the market that's alreadygood, why add more noise to it?This is actually something I wish existed. If I were to sum up daydream cushion. It's essentially a skin primermixed with a skin tint, and it also brightens the skin.So this is it right here.I like using a very, very lightlydamp sponge.Like, there's there's barely any water in here. There's a little I load it up like so,and I don't like a full face coverage. It's not really my thing. It's never really been my thing.A lot of you who've been following meon my skin care and my foundationfree journey, you know thatI've gone completely foundationfree like six years ago.I thinknormally I'll just do a little bit of spotconcealingor in this caseI'll use a very thin skin tint.So you could see like a little bitof my sunspots I have here. And I like to justkind of likediffuse it just a bit.And thenusing the clean side of my blender,I will kind of blend it and diffuse it.So it's still very light. It doesn't cover it.I'm not trying to cover it.I'm just trying to diffuse my skinand even out the complexionso I wouldn't do it on the other side. And this feels completely weightless, like I don't feel anything on my skin.I don't like makeupthat feels like I have makeup on my skin. That makes senseand that's it.So from there, that's all I really needed. And then I'mjust going to blend out the edgesso it looks as natural as possible.I want this to almostlook like my second skin. And I've noticed, likeas I've gotten older, my makeup is lookingsofter and softer and softer, not really doing like that graphic, edgy looking makeup like I used to,because it doesn'tit doesn't complement my features.I'm also noticingas I'm getting older, I'mjust more particularwith how I want my makeup to look.So this is just a very thin layer, like I barely. Most of it is around here, and I kind of just diffused itout around my face, like so.So I'm going to very lightlygoing to powder my browslike this and thisjust so I want itas matte as possible. So there's a new way I do my brows. Now I use a combination of bothlight taupe and deep taupe, and I'm actually goinglighter with my brows.I used to go a little heavier handed. It used to look more sculptedbecause I want my makeup to look softer. It also reflects with my brows. So I'm using light top hereand you'll see what I mean. It's like I would say it'stwo shades lighter than my naturalbrows and I can really go inand sculpt out my browswithout going too heavy handedso it looks softerand more diffusedand I am going heavier handed. But because it is a lighter shade,it's not laying down as harshly. It's still looking very soft.So I'm really goingfor like a soft brow look. It's all about being soft.I'm just coming as soft, as personaland yeah, just like feathering it out like this.I'm noticing that this browlook just makes me look younger, too.And before, in the past, when I went really harsh with my brows,I felt like the rest of my makeupalso had to be a little more intensified. But because I'm going softerwith everythingI complement the makeupmuch betterbecause you're using a lighter shade. It's more forgiving. If you mess up,you don't have to, like, redo as much. And something I learned from HungVanngo is I'm goingbeyond my tail. And this really helpskind of like widen my eyes more.So it just looks better on camerabecause you know how I look on camera, actually, how most people look on camera. It's not how they look in real life. It's really hard to replicate.Well, what are the lights likefor sick? It's motion censored.Okay, good to know.Like, what happened?I really want my makeup to look soft.So what I'm going to dois first I'm in a powder. My eyes just a little very light powder. And then from here,I'm using my tried and true Rodan palette. And this is the Masterpiece Palette. It's a true neutrals palette, and it's really beautiful.Like,I know you're probably thinking like, why do we need another neutrals palette?Like, this is not your average neutral. It's the most skinlike the most beautiful. You have multiple finishes, you have like satin finishes, matte finishesthat just feel incredibly buttery. It took us like a yearand a half to developthe shades, the color developmentand the formula. So a lot of thought and intentionwent behind this product. So I'm going to usemy tried and true timeless, and I'm just going to focus right here.I don't really need that much.Just a littlejust enough for creating depthand just fluffing it,barely touching it, extending it outjust a bit like this.Nice.And I'm going to play a little bitunder my eyes around here. You could just see the difference righthere.Right.It's crazy how just a little bit of makeupcan make the biggest difference. It just showsyou don't really need that much. You just need to have the right product, the right color, the right tones in the right placement. So I think in the past I would just likeI would just like smash makeup on my faceand everything. And now I'm so much more intentionalwith every color, every shade, every tone goes. And that's all I really need. You saw howI didn't really need that much. That's it.So what I'm going to do from hereis I'm going to crawl my lashes.I like to curl it before eyelinerso it doesn't smudge or smearsomething I learned from K-Popmakeup artist. That'swhy they're eyeliner. Looks so clean.Okay, so I'm going to do a very, very, very, very super, super thin linerI'm using my tried and true max trackand a tiny brush.Okay, let me see if I can zoom in a bit more.Okay.This is the closestI can zoom in on a firsttight line under my eyes, like soit tickles a little trying not to blinklike that. And then on the outer you seeit just going tolightly feather out line like this.I really want it to look very soft. And then fromthere what I'm going to dois smudge it outbecause I really want to diffuse it.I want everything to be soft.I don't want any harsh lines.I just love doing makeup.I feel like it's so therapeutic for mesometimes when I feel really overwhelmedand stressed andand I just feel lostand everything, you know, we've all been there.I just start.I decided to tell myself, you know, make yourself pretty today, feelconfident here.Let's play with makeup. And that's what I start doing.I start playing with makeupand I instantly feel more relaxedand I feel more empoweredbecause I feel more beautiful.Like, I know it's cheesy, like we're all beautiful, right? But sometimes like seeing is believingand it really makeup really helpsdemonstrate thatbecause I have days, y'all, when I just feelI just feel so lost.Like, what do I do with my life? You know, probably thinking, what do you mean you've done so much? But it is a programthat I'm still trying to overcome, program of, like performingconstantly feeling like I need to perform,I need to beat myself, I need to competewith myself and compete with others. And thankfully it was this yearwhere I was finally able to like unlearna lot of these patterns and programsthat I haven't been able to overcome. And meditation really helped with that.I would say meditation was justit was 90% of the workwas through deep, deep meditation. But I know a lot of my friendswho have other healing modalitieslike plant medicine helps themlike prayers and chants. It helps them tosacred dances and movementslike everyonehiking, climbing, exercising.Everyone has like a modality. And I feel like I never had a chanceto discoverwhat mine was until I discoveredbreathwork and meditation, because I tried meditating in the past, but it was just like closing your eyesand, you know, relaxing. But it wasn't as intentional. And then thankfully, I was able to learna technique that really helped meopen up this doorway.Okay, so see,my eyeliner is very soft, very gentle. So I'm going to go ahead and applymascara.I'm using pick me up mascaraand I'm just going to sweep this through.I left my lashes at home.I was going to do idol looking lashes, butleft it at home. And I don't have any lasheshere at the office, so I justit's just going to be mascara today, which is totally fine.Okay.So from here, I'm going to go aheadand finish off the rest of my base makeup.I'm using rose ink concealer. This is in Alex 80.Just matches my skin perfectly.Just like that.Doesn't have the highest coverage, but I do like it.And I don't have concealers yet,so I have to use something.I'll go ahead and blow this.Okay,so now I'm going to go aheadand powder the rest of my face.I'm just going to powder where I need it.I don't really need a powder everywhereand here, here.My forehead for sure.I'm using a prototypethat we're testing out right now.And I'm going to use a little bit.A little bitof contouring. This is so soft. And Tara,we actually sold out of this last year. We're out of stock for a whileand we're finally back in stock becauseonce you try this, it's like it's so hardto go back to another cream contour.I really believe this is the bestcontour cream contour in the market. It's so soft, I barely have to blend it.You see that?Just boom, boom, boom done. And then I'm going to applya little bit on my jawlineto kind of slimmy face down just a little bitbecause the camera does addlike this cameraactually widens my face.Okay, so from here, what I'm going to do isI'm going to finish offthe rest of my browsand remember remember earlierI was using light hope. Now I'm going to go aheadand use Deep Tube. And this is where I'm just going to focuson the fine detailing.I'm not going to really fill it in.What I love about Fine Lineris that it's one of the best brow pencilI've used and I haven't found anythingto replace this. Not saying it because it's biased. It's really because of not just theformulation but how it's been engineered. It's oval tube.So you can go really thin with your marks. You can create avery thin, feathery strokes. So I'mjust adding a little bit of deep topjust to create dimensionso it doesn't look so flatlike that. And youand what I'm going to dois take light top againand finish the rest of my house.I feel like a completely different persononce I have browson, okay, okay, I'm coming to life. This is when I'm going to start addingmy earrings.I just love these earrings. These are my favorite earrings.I've been wearing them like all yearand I don'tI just wear these and the dragonearrings, it's all I wear now. It's just, you know, people ask me, Michelle, why do you always wear the same stuff?I'm like, I'm like a video game character.I just have the same outfit. So from here, let me just zoom out.I feel like I'm so close to the camera.Okay, nice. And then what I'm going to dois apply cherubright here and here. This is my favorite blush. So I like using both a combo of babyand pearl t pearl t.I use it like a very subtle contourlike this.I'm going to apply a little morebaby.I'm not going to skimp out. Then just blendednice. All right, now that my base makeupis done, I'm going to go ahead and removemy lip product. So I want to show you our newest productlaunch, whichremember the past year,I've been applying a lip productand I keep saying it's a prototype. It's a prototype now it's finally here.I can finally reveal what it is.So M's newestlip product launch is called Soft Spoken. It's so beautiful.I mean, I just want to show youhow wonderful this is.I'm going to use my favorite shade.Well, they're all my favorite shades, but I'm really into tender right now.And imagine lip cloud, but softer more second skin, more blurring, because, you know, I'mstarting to get a lot of fine lineson my lips and I'm all about blurring it.Let me show you the magic of soft spoken.Okay.So the applicator the applicatoris supposed to replicate a finger.Remember the delicate ring finger. So the applicator is essentiallyreplicatingthe delicate ring fingerthat I always talk about. And you can kind of seehow it's very bendy and it's very plush,it's wonderful, and it just gives likea really beautiful user experience. We went through around 100 differentlip applicators. This is one doe foot submissionthat we had, and you can kind of seethat it's very stiff. This one is more flexibleand it just really feels like a finger. So I'm going to go ahead and show youwhat tender looks like. It's so soft it's actually addictingapplying it on my lips.I never get tired of applying thisand it gives you that diffused lip lookthat blursthe lips. There'sreally nothing like this on the market. It took us three yearsto develop this formulaand we got so many differentformula submissions, but we finally founda best base formulaand from there we worked on it.We really finetune it and we were so meticulousabout color development and the finish. My dream product forthis was to be blurring,to not feel dryingor be drying at all, actually hydrating, feeling like second skin, completely weightless.I find most of the lip creamson the market, they feel very heavy on the lips. But this it feels likeyou have nothing on your lips.Completely weightless. And it just gives like you can recreatethat blotted liplook that I'm really into.So I will then kind of smudge it on thetop like this to give that blotted looklike thatisn't that's supernice.Oh, I feel so good.I could do this all day. This is.This is like my finger. So I'm going to show youthe rest of the shades on my lips. This is tender. So this is petal has a rosier undertone.Oh, I really like. I like Petal too. This is nice.I'm doing like my posay,my poke, my posay pose,my posing pose. This is like the second timeI've been able to fully use the productbecause when you're developing a product,it's kind of like a Frankenstein typeof experience. You get the goopand then you have to find like, you know, the applicator oryou know the secondary componentand it's basically like nothing'sreally finished until it's finished. And so cool to finally havelike a finished experience. So this is intuition, which wasthis was acolor I really wanted the team to create. It's basically like a red bean, like a red bean desert. So this is intuition. Now I have whisperwhispers like a neutral nude. And what I love about this formulais that even if you have dry lips,it doesn't clingor catch on to any of the patchiness. It actually blursthe dry skin on your lips. This stuff is magic.Okay, so this is whisper.Okay? And then the last one is manifest.I would say manifest is like a more grownup, sophisticated, faded clementinebecause I didn't want to recreateFaded Clementine.I wanted somethingthat was a little more evolved. And this is it.So I'm just letting you knowthere's no filter on this video. This is literallywhat my lips look like andyou could see the blurring quality. It really it'sjust such a beautiful formula.I it's the best one. It's literallyI can see it with 100% confidence. The moment you try this, you're going to be like Michelle Yep.This is really the best, softest, most blurring lip cream on the market. And what I love is that it doesn't drymy lips. You okay?So I'm going to go ahead and reapplytender. Oh,it just feels so good. It's so hard to describe, you know, you're like, Michelle, you're so crazy. It's just a lip productslike, no, no, this is not a lip product. This is Olympic dream. This is something that I've been dreamingof for years. And I feel like technologywasn't ready yet.Like I couldn'tfind anything on the market.I went to like different labsaround the world, and I couldI could not find anything that could eventhat was even close to this concept. And I wanted it all.I was not going to compromiselike it has to be blurring. It has to not be drying, has to be hydrating. And it has to feel completely weightless. And there are just like, honestly, some of some of the labswere getting really annoyed with meand my team. They're just like, you guys are crazy. You need to compromise. And it's like, Nope,we will not compromise.I'm willingto develop this for years until we get it.And that's the thing is like a lot ofsometimes like you'll have brandswhere they have to launch. If it's 70% good, they'll launch. But with EM I feel so blessedthat it's bootstrapped by me.So I own it.And so I can I can decide like, no,we won't launch anythingunless it's at least 90%great and this is above 90%.This is low.I have no complaints with this.I love it.I'm so happy. So happy about this productso soft spoken is availableexclusively at EMCOSMETICS.COM.Just know that when you're purchasingfrom m cosmetics you're supportinga small business, women owned, womenled and most importantly intentional. We are so intentional about every productthat we're launchingbecause we just don't want to addmore noise out there in the market. We want to be able to reallybring a productthat represents somethingthat has a vision, that truly embodies what EM believes inthe philosophy as EM is.Everything that we create startswith an intention, and that intention is to feel beautiful. So every product that we have, the momentyou touch it, you can feel how beautifulit is, the elegant textures, the finish, the color development. So I just want to thank my teamfor spending years on this productand I really hope if you purchase it.I want to thank you so muchfor supporting this businessand you are basically supporting peoplewho want to createbeautiful makeup productsand give back to the community. So thank you so much for watching.I'm going to go aheadand get ready for this interview, butthank you for getting ready along with me.And until then, I'll see you in the nextvideo by everyone.Good luck.\n"
