With these colors you also noticethe reduced antenna bands which all butdisappear.This leads to a cleaner looking phone,but overall the design is familiar andit's what you expect.Now where it gets interesting is whenyou start to actually use the phone.The first thing you'll probably noticeis the home button, and now it's not abutton. It just uses haptics to simulatethe feel of a button but nothingactually moves. It feels similar to theMacBook trackpad. That seems to be onearea you definitely have to get used toand some people seem to hate it. I wouldn'tsay it feels like an actual button, itfeels really similar to the MacBooktrackpad but when it's in your hand theillusion is a bit harder to pull off. Butthe button itself works the same way youwould expect, you push it to go homedouble-click hold all those things areso here. One thing to keep in mind isthat because it's not moving now it'scapacitive meaning you have to use yourfinger to activate it.So if you're wearing gloves or you tryto use your fingernail it's notgonna work it has to detect your finger, sothat's something to keep in mind. But theTaptic Engine that's giving you thatfeedback works really well. It's veryfast and responsive and as fast as youcan click it responds. And that Taptic Enginealso works other places in iOS, so if youbring down the Notification tray bringup the Control Centerslide your brightness your volume youget these little bumps and taps thatgive you a physical response to whatyou're doing on the screen. Now thatscreen has also been updated itsbrighter and supports a wider colorgamutYou can see more colors on the screenand it does seem to look better than onthe 6s. The biggest difference is that itlooks warmer now and a little bit morenatural. One place you really notice thechanges is with the new camera and this isa significant change from the 6s,especially on the iPhone 7 Plus. Nowthere are two 12 megapixel cameras. One isthe same from the iPhone 7 with an f 1.8aperture new six element lens new censor,it's an entirely new camera.The main difference with the second oneis that has a more zoomed in focallength, and this effectively gives youoptical zoom on a smartphone. So you canget two times closer without losing anyreal quality, and when compared to the6s these photos do look better inboth normal lights and in low light. Andusing the zoom feature is very easy, justtap the icon on the screen and you gointo the 2x zoom and from there if youwant to go even farther you can go up to10x digital zoom.Now one area that's been rathercontroversial is the headphone jackbecause it's not here anymore, but theydo include Lighting EarPods in the boxand they have an adapter so if you have3.5mm headphones you want to useyou can still do that, but the headphonejack being gone only really mattersdepending on how you use your phone. Andit's clear that Apple is pushingwireless. They have their AirPods comingout relatively soon. Not available justyet but be sure to subscribe so you cansee content when those are out. Now Appledidn't only remove things when it cameto audio they also added a secondspeaker so that we have stereo speakerson the iPhone 7.The first one is on the bottom in thesame place that it was before but thesecond one is using the earpiece whereyou would normally make calls.
