The Frankfurt Motor Show: A Look at the Latest Cars and Concepts from Around the World
As we walked through the bustling hall of the Frankfurt Motor Show, it was clear that this year's event would not disappoint. The air was electric with excitement as car enthusiasts and industry professionals alike gathered to catch a glimpse of the latest and greatest in automotive innovation. From sleek and sexy sports cars to futuristic concept vehicles, the show had something for everyone.
One of the standout features of the Frankfurt Motor Show was BMW's impressive lineup of new cars and concepts. The company took center stage with their highly anticipated M5, which made its public debut at the event. This latest iteration of the legendary performance car boasts all-wheel drive and a staggering 600 horsepower, making it a formidable opponent on the road. The M5 also comes in two stylish colors: satin dark red and a beautiful blue that caught our eye.
But BMW wasn't the only manufacturer showcasing their latest creations at Frankfurt. Mini was also there, with their innovative GP concept car taking center stage. This sleek and futuristic design is based on the latest version of the GP3 series and boasts an aggressive, wide-body aesthetic. It's clear that BMW is pushing the boundaries of innovation in the automotive world.
In addition to these exciting new cars, the Frankfurt Motor Show also featured a number of interesting concept vehicles from other manufacturers. One such example was the Mini GP Concept, which took inspiration from the latest version of the GP3 series. This striking design combines aggressive lines with a futuristic aesthetic, making it a true standout at the show.
BMW also showcased an impressive concept car based on their iconic Z4 model. The new Z4 is being developed in partnership with Toyota and features a six-speed sequential transmission that's sure to thrill driving enthusiasts. With its sleek, open-style design and aggressive styling, this concept car promises to be a real head-turner when it finally hits the market.
Of course, no Frankfurt Motor Show would be complete without a few surprises along the way. One such example was the Renault Formula Car 2027 Vision, which left us all in awe with its sheer audacity. This futuristic design is more like something you'd see in a sci-fi movie than a real car, and it's clear that Renault has been inspired by the likes of Project One.
As we made our way through the hall, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and wonder at all the new cars and concepts on display. From the stunning Rolls-Royce Phantom to the iconic Mercedes-Benz E63 S from AMG, there was something for everyone at Frankfurt this year. And with new models like the M4 CS and the 40th-anniversary 7 Series also making an appearance, it's clear that this year's show will be one to remember.
As we came to the end of our tour of the Frankfurt Motor Show, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience all the latest automotive innovation in one place. From cutting-edge technology to bold and exciting designs, there was no shortage of excitement at this year's event. We can't wait to see what next year will bring!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys i'm schmee and today we are at the frankfurt motor show where i am joined by the entire crew so we've got ben and becky that you have met before but we're also joined now by marcella who goes by nicera online guys we're gonna head out and go and find our favorite bits yeah off this motor show so what are you looking forward to uh i'm looking forward to seeing the project one it's a bit secretive we know it's got a formula one 1.6 liter engine in not much more than that and i'm excited to find out more it's going to be really cool becky ah definitely it's obviously 40 years of bravas and they've got an amazing rabbit's passing uh exhibition here so it's definitely less out there for sure beautiful beautiful car marcelo for me it's gonna be very easy to ferrari portofino because it's sexy it's fast and it looks aggressive for sure for sure so there's a lot to see here we're gonna go and explore and take in all the new cars the concepts the most exciting stuff so let's go now given we've started on the ferrari stand marcella you picked the portofino it's right behind us here yes walk us through it i mean i i am still a big california tea fan but this one is just bigger better it looks gorgeous i am a massive fan and it's basically a revision you've still got the 3.9 liter twin turbocharged v8 now it makes 600 horsepower 760 newton meters and i think one of the things i really like about it is the roof line it looks good roof up or roof down yes i mean a lot of times it doesn't look good it's one you like you can pay or you go for a convertible or anything like that but with this one as well the front and the back it has an aggressive look and that's why it's a different than a california teeth it's a bit more aggressive for sure and it's named portofino after the beautiful italian town could you imagine driving one of these through there i would love it i would i would keep on driving and driving really for sure what a car well this is what i was talking about just now with the roof it flows seamlessly back towards the rear edge but we've seen it spin around ferrari's latest car their gt their grand tourer they've done great regular viewers will know that i am a frequent visitor to brabus and it's their 40th anniversary celebrations this year and this is their introduction to go along with that the g-class 900 one of 10. one of 10 at 666 000 euros before that you get a 900 horsepower one and a half thousand newton meter overhauled by turbo v12 it's based on the g65 amg it's pretty exclusive and it has a full re-trimmed interior as well including two additional full single seats in the rear too for luxury and comfort now that's not the only thing here brabus also have the 700 versions of the e63s amg over there and also the s63 as well and then if we get over here we have becky's favorite the 300 sl gold wing and what a car oh my god it's literally what dreams are made of this thing is perfect from the bottom up they spent around 4 000 hours making sure that everything as it is actually got two-year warranty on which is more quarantined than when it came out the factory when it was originally made you can't get a cleaner example the paintwork saying the interior the whole thing is literally a gem my favorite car in the show hands it's beautiful just come through and have a little look here at the interior it's not all about the modern cars is it this can't be here this is the new mercedes x class their introduction to the pickup market here it is then the most exciting car of the show certainly for me is the amg project one and just look at this thing it's absolutely insane from the aero intakes at the front the wheels which have the sort of protective cover on them very much formula one inspired all the way down to the scoop that pulls into this sort of shark fin at the back and then we have the active rear wing which i don't think we've seen up yet and everyone seems to be in love with the back of the car i'm a fan of the front of it which seems to be a bit of a a country opinion but i'm just excited to find out more about the car we don't know too much at the moment we know obviously it's a 1.6 liter formula one inspired engine over a thousand horsepower less than six seconds north of 200k it's just gonna be a beast isn't it completely and there are four electric motors in here three to the wheels one to spool the turbos quicker so that you get all of that power immediately goodness knows what times this is going to do around the racetrack bentley have introduced the third generation of the continental gt so back again still with the six liter w12 but refreshed again this time with 635 horsepower but this car also has a lot more going on inside fit and finish from bentley as you expect but also with a trick folding display with three different sides depending what you want to see design slightly refined but still instantly recognizable as the continental gt certainly a good looking car audi have made some updates to the ttrs the sport performance parts and becky this is i think you were saying your dream car right absolute daily driver dream look at it it's amazing nagaro blue carbon everything wing gang gloss black it's got everything that you could possibly want and it's all the factory modifications if we just wander around here towards the back look at that thing crazy yeah it's like it looks like a little mini race car you could literally legit get away with that but it's a ttrs you can properly drive it 400 horsepower from the five cylinder bit of a beast it is two more audis here to take a look at and first is the r8 v10 rws one of 999 no longer with quattro now just all the power at the rear wheels that must be quite a lot of fun then next to that we have the new rs4 so the rs5 engine finding its way down to the rs4 event an estate in style ben you've become our resident hyper car man right now well this is probably the one to beat it's got to be the current pack leader it's the bugatti chiron that sets the zero to 400 and back to zero again in just under 42 seconds 41.96 we've seen the video of that been released on the internet recently greeted with a bit of controversy there was a few rumblings of oh i don't know if it's quite real but it's been confirmed that it is real shot from another chiron to that chiron uh what a camera car to use but yes this is this is the record holder and it's on display here becky are you a lamborghini girl what about the aventador s roadster do you know what i do really really like it however i know it's not the newest model but this hurricane perfomante kills it that forged carbon wasn't sure about it in the beginning look at the marble effect almost but when i actually started looking into it and looking at everything it's amazing it looks wicked this car actually has quite a few bits of personalization because otherwise it's got this dual tone to the paint personam lamborghini's customization program so for you it's the hurricane performante spec wise this is the best one i've ever seen even over the newly just released here aventador s roadster but yeah i mean this is the newest car but we weren't really surprised they've just taken the roof off the event until s it was always going to come i however love that color naturally i was going to stop right here the new porsche gt3 with the touring package so the gt3 much like the car that i'm soon to take delivery of but in touring package configuration you actually don't have the rear wing so it's rather similar to the 911 911r style it's got 11 leather interior you can have the manual gearbox it's just gt3 wingless as an option package on the gt3 then next to that we have the gt2 rs the car that we saw at the goodwood festival of speed earlier this year but the 700 horsepower twin turbocharged flat six monster that is in their track weapon waiting to hear some lap times at various circuits but those soon to be delivered to customers and this is the vice configuration so the carbon fiber bonnet with the stripe and all the other parts that you can see around it what a pair of weapons coming from porsche's gt department porsche have introduced the new kn so it's very distinct with the new look to the rear with the horizontal strip all the way across the kn is of course their most popular model believe it or not so hugely significant releasing this and this particular one is the turbo so a 550 horsepower four liter bi-turbo v8 if you want to get somewhere fast in an suv look no further than the ukn turbo what would a motor show be without the ford gt naturally i'm very very excited about mine in due course and this one's presented here in the newly introduced heritage livery with the bright red paintwork and white stripes it just looks awesome sitting low with the wing up like that and parked alongside the chip ganassi race car one of the four gt cars from the world endurance championship but this thing but i drove it recently and it was truly truly mega and just for fun here they've also got the lego ford racing driver as well slipping slightly under the radar is the new focus rs edition so like the regular ford focus rs presented in nitrous blue we get 500 of them in the uk one of which i hope to acquire in due course but it now has a front limited slip diff and it's visually recognizable by the satin black mirrors black roof from factory and the black spoiler with the blue rs logo on the end plates as well so fingers crossed one of those coming in shortly the aspar owl now marcela what is this well it's one electric crazy car and only 850 kilo and it's full carbon fiber i think it looks mad and it's gonna be so fast and electric it's crazy and i i want to see more of this well this is this is very much the future and you're an electric fan you drive a tesla model s yourself i do and if i see this i do want to take this for a little spin i can imagine it would have quite some go so this is the car that's been launched here at the motor show here we have a really interesting little concept car this is the renault 2027 vision so this is displaying some of their ideas for where formula one formula e formula three basically single seater formula racing is going to be headed in the next 10 years now immediately the most obvious and interesting part of this to me is this cockpit cover here if you're interested in formula one like i am you know there's a lot of debate raging at the moment about the proposed halo system this is a system to cover the driver essentially uh partially from the outside elements to prevent instances uh that we saw with felipe massa for instance getting in hidden head by a spring and of course tragically jules bianchi who lost his life when colliding with a trackside vehicle so this could be their take on it it looks a lot less invasive than the current halo designs being talked about and gives a clear view of the driver which i think is really important for the fan spectacle the wheels are absolutely insane on this car super low profile tires which is pretty much the opposite of what you see in formula one these days that have enormous tyre bulk and a very little sort of hub in the middle and then yeah it's pretty pretty futuristic around the back of course this is a free-flow concept design formula one cars have to adhere to a very strict set of regulations in terms of bodywork placement suspension all this sort of thing so they've not looked into the future and found the rules for 2027 they've just sort of freestyled it bit of a concept few ideas an interesting look and um a bit of an idea of where they would head with the technology i met here eddie borgwood and really this car it looks like it comes from space i was walking here and i i had to go here to see it like closer and i mean look at the inside with all the purple blue on the outside yeah i don't know it's it's crazy but i want to know more i want to see more here we're looking at honda's nsx in its gt3 race getup and doesn't it just look seriously mean in the full carbon body now of course when it goes off to teams to be finalized for its race preparations i imagine this carbon will be painted over and covered with stickers and livery but this is a pretty damn cool car obviously based on the nsx so we've still got the familiar 3.5 liter v6 however it's moved away from the nine speeds dual clutch transmission of the standard nsx and has instead got a more race appropriate six-speed sequential that's a pretty crazy looking bmw i8 and check this out the concept z4 so bmw are developing this in partnership with toyota it'll be manual and automatic this is just a concept but we're going to see it before the end next year catch a quick glimpse through the car there this looks awesomely cool obviously this is a speedster open style with the buttresses so the final car will no doubt be a proper traditional convertible but look at the aggression design styling be awesome if it looks anything like this when it comes through bmw have a history of making that happen with the i8 so let's see what the new z4 will look like due course for now though the concept is a very special looking thing a couple more from bmw but they're now prepared for a live presentation but here you can see the mini gp concept so a concept for a mini gp3 based on the latest version pretty crazy thing very wide body that's a concept then next to that we have another concept for the x7 so an even larger suv from bmw another product coming potentially during the next year and over on the other side we can catch a quick glimpse there of the new rolls royce phantom which is a car that i've shot a full video with before now for taking luxury to the next level then we have the new m5 which is a car that i've been lucky enough to drive very heavily camouflaged but it's been released here it's the first m car outside of the x range to have all-wheel drive but it's an all-wheel drive system that you can actually vary either into all-wheel drive sports or you can send all of the 600 horsepower to the rear wheels and have a good bit of fun and they've presented it here in the satin dark red and also in this particularly nice blue on the other side of me as well but this is the new m5 sure to be a very popular car going head-to-head with the mercedes e63 s from amg this is it this is bmw's big product launch here as part of quite a few new cars they've released at this frankfurt motor show in their gigantic hall that they've got set up for this new cars like the m4cs over there as well lastly i'm going to jump into the special 40th anniversary 7 series to join everyone else in comfort and quietness yes how's it going in here as we are fast finding out this car is loaded with buttons and technology it's so nice found my spot yeah massaging seats yeah all good just relaxed so good show everyone tired very much but good really really good um nice to see all of the new tech that's coming out all of the hot hatches that have been out there there's too much like we need some more time our brains just overload overload of new and cool stuff any particular favorites surprises things you didn't expect to jump out at you bravo's classic 300 that is the one well you you were on to that from the beginning it's all about that for this show but there's also loads of other stuff like obviously all the different tuning companies that brought stuff to the table i mean yeah it's too much to sort of like sum up in one sentence perfect yeah i can't really disagree with that um i wanted to have a bit more of a look at the portofino but didn't really get the chance so i guess i'll have to watch your video to see it in more detail well for me portofino is really popular then i was like super excited to see in real life and now i've seen it and i'm i want to take it home always with motor shows i think there's a few little bits and bobs that you don't expect you don't know are coming and it's just interesting to see what everyone brings to the table um a couple of things i've just looked at the renault concept formula car 2027 vision i think it's called just absolutely bonkers and it's just sort of a motor company freestyling like look what we could do i like seeing that you can go from look what we could do to look what we've done with project one yes yeah and that's i think you're having fun by the way yeah that's right i'm just like going backwards and forwards in the background yeah it's like every everything every bit of this chair you can move the thing is if you push crazy with them playing around with everything back there i'm gonna wrap this one up thank you everyone for joining in today and i hope you guys have enjoyed the video some highlights of the frankfurt motor show yeah all right we will see you again very soon bye cheers youhi guys i'm schmee and today we are at the frankfurt motor show where i am joined by the entire crew so we've got ben and becky that you have met before but we're also joined now by marcella who goes by nicera online guys we're gonna head out and go and find our favorite bits yeah off this motor show so what are you looking forward to uh i'm looking forward to seats yeah all good just relaxed so good show everyone tired very much but good really really good um nice to see all of the new tech that's coming out all of the hot hatches that have been out there there's too much like we need some more time our brains just overload overload of new and cool stuff any particular favorites surprises things you didn't expect to jump out at you bravo's classic 300 that is the one well you you were on to that from the beginning it's all about that for this show but there's also loads of other stuff like obviously all the different tuning companies that brought stuff to the table i mean yeah it's too much to sort of like sum up in one sentence perfect yeah i can't really disagree with that um i wanted to have a bit more of a look at the portofino but didn't really get the chance so i guess i'll have to watch your video to see it in more detail well for me portofino is really popular then i was like super excited to see in real life and now i've seen it and i'm i want to take it home always with motor shows i think there's a few little bits and bobs that you don't expect you don't know are coming and it's just interesting to see what everyone brings to the table um a couple of things i've just looked at the renault concept formula car 2027 vision i think it's called just absolutely bonkers and it's just sort of a motor company freestyling like look what we could do i like seeing that you can go from look what we could do to look what we've done with project one yes yeah and that's i think you're having fun by the way yeah that's right i'm just like going backwards and forwards in the background yeah it's like every everything every bit of this chair you can move the thing is if you push crazy with them playing around with everything back there i'm gonna wrap this one up thank you everyone for joining in today and i hope you guys have enjoyed the video some highlights of the frankfurt motor show yeah all right we will see you again very soon bye cheers you\n"
