Sony's NEW Vlogging Camera - ZV-1 Mark II

previousZV-1, but it has some amazing upgrades,it now has an even wider angle lens,it's an 18 to 50, It hascinematic vlog settings,an AI microphone, touchscreen,USBC and a built-inND filter, which is, I'mnot gonna lie probablyone of my favoritefeatures out of everything.There's also a bunch oflittle other upgradeslike closer focus, activemode, creative looksupgraded S&Q, self-timer,shot mark, step zoomand even connects withthe Sony Creators app.Whew, there is so much packed insideof this little camera,it's pretty overwhelming.So first thing is this ND filter,which is built in andI'm so excited about thisbecause I do a ton of filming outside.So as you can see thisshot is very overexposed,it's super bright.Luckily we have a built-in ND filterso we can turn that on right now.And what's cool aboutthis, is you don't actuallyhave to turn the cameraoff and it's super easybecause what you do have to do normally,this is the camera that we've been filmingwith outside and I haveto actually screw this offif I don't want the NDfilter and if I want it on,I have to screw it back on.But with this, it's justthe press of a button.It's incredible.The new cinematic vlogsetting will give youa wide aspect ratioand it'll automaticallyswitch your settings to 24 frames a secondand it lets you choose fromvarious looks and modes.Cinematic vlog, 24 frames a second.We've got these black bars to make it justlook even more theatrical.There's a bunch of different ones.So it's really fun to kind of play aroundfind your look and seewhat you like the best.The face priority autoexposure is somethingthat I absolutely love in these cameras.It keeps the brightnessof your face consistenteven in different typesof lighting conditions.It's pretty well lit 'causeit's kind of overcast.But now when I walk intothis dark parking garageand now the light is behindme, this will automaticallyadjust so that my facewill stay lit and brightand it'll automatically expose everything.(upbeat music)Hello.- There's no filming in here.- It can be really bright in one secondand then the next you step into shade.But with this, it's able to automaticallyadjust on the fly depending upon,what those lighting conditions are.Creative looks let youchoose from these 10different presets and there'seight different settingsinside of those to changeup the look of your videosvery quickly and easily.There's also another optioncalled My Image Stylethat lets you change the brightness colorand look to whatever you want.I like this because itquickly will let youmake some subtleadjustments if you need to.Now, this new microphone issomething that they releasedin the ZV-E1 camera, and Ialready did review that cameraso if you wanna check out that video,be sure to go watch itafter you watch this one.But what makes this sopowerful is how it uses AIto determine where it should be recording.If I'm out filming and I'mtalking behind the camerait will automaticallyfocus more on my voice,but if a person steps infront, it may start recordingthe audio from the frontinstead of the back.You can manually choosewhere it records if you wantand that's super easy to switchright here in the settings.This windscreen is a nice little additionthat helps block out unwantedsounds from the wind.I like to call this the wind wig.So go ahead, just try to change my mindby calling it anything else.It's not gonna happen.If you wanna add an external microphonethere is a 3.5 millimeter headphone jackand it has the multiinterface shoe that workswith various Sony microphones.Image stabilization issomething that is alwaysvery important for me onthese types of cameras.With active mode enabled,you'll be able to noticea pretty big difference inhow stable the footage is.Also, if you wanna really divein and get more stabilizationyou can use Sony's plugin thatuses the metadata capturedwhile you're filmingto really get even moreof a smoother shot.S&Q that stands for slow and quick.On the top here youhave a dedicated buttonto choose from photo video or S&Q.I love using this fortime lapses and gettingquick slow motion B roll shots.Now for those pros who wantmore control on coloringyou can shoot an S-Log3 andthey even have proxy recording.No, I don't usually shootwith proxy, but this is greatfor those who do use proxy footage.This can actually save you a lot of timerather than having tocreate them in post later.This has the recordinglamp light right here,and this red box around theframe is like this addedextra bonus of like, hello,yes you are actually recording.I really wish that they had this on someof their ProModel cameras.And even if you think that you're a proand you'll never forget to hit recordthere are definitely thosetimes where I have forgotand you don't ever realizeit until it's too late.Now, some settings that Ireally like in these camerasis the background defocus.This will quickly blur out your backgroundand adjust the aperture foryou, so you will have thatbeautiful, blurred outlookand all of that happensat the press of a button.This also has product showcase,which isn't a new featurebut it is worth mentioningbecause it worksso freaking well.So I have product showcaseturn on and we're gonnatry out these little almond bites.So now you see me, nowyou see the Almond Bites.(chuckles)Did it focus on 'em?Almond Bite?Mmh.You just switched tothis mode and wheneveryou hold something up in front of itit will quickly adjust to focuson that instead of your face.They also have thisskin smoothing feature.Now, this has a low, medium and a highand you can also decide to turn this off.I like to keep it at the low, if not offbecause sometimes when youhave it set to the high versionI mean you begin to noteven look like a person.Like it is almost toosmooth and too perfectthat you're like, something's up.Is it a filter?And you'll be like, hashtag no filter.And then we're like, no,yeah, there's a filter.So keeping it on thelow end just like thisworks pretty well for me.And I think if you wanna use this featurethe low setting, mmh, it's perfect.Now, I mostly use these camerasfor video and I honestly completely forgetthat they actually take photos as well.This has a 20 megapixelsensor with super fastauto focused speed and itwill actually let you shoot24 frames a second ofraw or jpeg up to abouta thousand frames and becompletely blackout free,which is pretty impressive insuch a small little camera.Another thing that theseare great for is using themas a webcam or a live streaming device.It will only let you outputup to 720, but honestlyfor most calls or
