My Home, My Happy Place: A Tour with Kylie and Kris Jenner

I'm Kylie Jenner, and this is my lovely mother, Kris Jenner. We're currently in my game room/bar area, which I've designed to be a reflection of myself – young, dark, fun, and full of color. As you can see, each of my homes has been unique, but also shared some commonalities. When it comes to design, I wanted to take it to the next level with this space.

As we walk around the room, you'll notice that everything is carefully curated to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One thing you might be surprised to find is that Kris has one piece of furniture from her first house in this very room – my favorite pillows! Yes, I've kept them as a reminder of my mom's impeccable taste.

So, what are the must-haves in a glam room like mine? For me, it starts with great lighting. You can't replicate the ambiance of natural light without it. Next up is a comfortable chair that invites you to relax and unwind. And, of course, good quality furniture is essential for creating a space that's both stylish and functional.

One fun fact about my glam room is that I've put a lock on the door. Kris was able to get in once when she accidentally locked herself out – but that's a story for another time! In all seriousness, it's nice to have a private space where I can retreat from the world and recharge. And let me tell you, this chair has been my happy place more than once.

As we move around the room, you'll notice that it's not just about aesthetics – there are also functional spaces like my office area for hosting Kylie Cosmetics meetings. Those sessions can last anywhere from five to eight hours, and I love having a dedicated space where I can focus on business without any distractions.

Speaking of favorite rooms in the house, mine is actually Kris's family room. It's got all the cozy elements she loves – a fireplace, big screen TV, and an incredible swing that's become a focal point of the space. Did you know that this swing was originally purchased from Kim and Kanye? I'll never tell – but let's just say it's been thoroughly reupholstered to fit my style.

One thing Kris and I have always agreed on is the importance of making our homes feel like warm, welcoming spaces that reflect our personalities. For me, that means embracing bold colors, statement pieces, and plenty of textures. It's all about creating a space that feels like home – even when we're not there.

Kris has often said that I have an extremely mature design sense, considering my age. And honestly, I think she might be right! While our taste in decor may differ slightly, we share a passion for art, furniture, and design. It's been amazing to see how my style has evolved over the years and how it's influenced by Kris's own impeccable taste.

As parents, one of the things we're most proud of is giving our children the freedom to express themselves through their surroundings. Kylie loves hosting parties and events, and I think that's something we've both passed down to her – the importance of creating memorable experiences for friends and family. Whether it's a cozy night in or a grand celebration, there's always a sense of warmth and welcome in our home.

Kris also mentions how proud she is of Kylie's creativity and organizational skills. She notes that having a creative outlet like design has been incredibly important to Kylie – and I couldn't agree more! There's something special about bringing an idea to life through furniture, decor, or even just a fresh coat of paint. It's a skill that takes time and practice to develop, but it's one that will stay with us for years to come.

As we wrap up our tour, Kris mentions how much she loves holidays – especially Easter! She always sends me adorable baskets filled with treats and trinkets, which I treasure every year. Those little moments of connection are what make being part of a loving family like mine so special.

love the fireplace is incredible and the big screen tv and it's attached to the most important room in the house which is the kitchen i love that room i love her damien hurst the one with the butterflies the one with mickey is fantastic and i love her swing oh my gosh the swing in the family room is amazing the one you hijacked from kim and kanye i would never buy a house with a lot of windows that's interesting like you know modern homes with just windows windows windows all over the house that freak that makes me uncomfortable that would be like living in a fishbowl that's my point i would never buy a house without a fireplace fireplaces are really important to me even if it's like 80 degrees outside at five o'clock the music goes on the candles get lit there might be a martini somewhere and the fireplaces are on i would never buy a house that was on stilts you know when you see those houses that's a good one stilts that's a good one i would never buy a house homestead no waiting for an earthquake i think kylie's design style is extremely mature your level of taste and your understanding of art and furniture and design is at a level that most people your age have no idea i get excited just to see what's next with you because of your creativity and your imagination and the way you design your house is very similar to the way that you run your business which is kind of perfect thanks the things that were similar in and the things that i might have passed down to kylie are some of the cozier rooms and just the comfort of fireplaces and making amazing kitchen and just the way that we both like to entertain is really important to both of us and i think we have that in common kylie loves a good party and she's a great hostess so that's important to both of us i think don't you i really am so proud of all of my kids because you never know when your children get older what their lives are going to be like or how they want to live in their home and what that home might even be like and doing it in a style that's all your own and being able to have that responsibility definitely having creativity it really organized and put together how much a home can change when the music and the candles and the fireplace are on like you always do and holidays were the best every easter morning i still get easter baskets from you it's fun though it's fun
