My Favorite Moment in Time: Creating a Heavenly Look with Magic Hour
My favorite moment in time is when this guy goes from pink orange to gold and for a brief moment everything appears heavenly. This is exactly what I want to recreate on my skin using the new serum blush in Sunset Sky, which only requires one drop but I'm using more because lately my skin has been really dry. I'm using this as a base to prep my skin, letting it sink in while I do the rest of my makeup.
Starting off with a soft matte peach wash called Sunset, I apply this color all over my lids, close to my brow bone, to set the mood for the look. What I love about this formula is that it blends effortlessly with a brush or fingertips. Moving on to this warm cream at shadow, this will be the anchor color to balance out the peach, and rimming the shadow along my lower and upper lash line while maintaining the softness of the look. The following color is Radiance, a coppery shimmer that I start at the inner corners and blend out the rest to brighten up the eyes.
Next, I apply Magic, a duochrome nectar shimmer, on my lids to add more dimension to my eyes. Whatever is leftover on my brush, I run it along the corners and brow bone for that magic touch. Moving on to Heavenly, a white golden shimmer, I apply this directly on the inner corner of my eyes, and with a fluffy brush, I touch the tip of my nose and run that brush along the nose bridge for that extra glow.
To keep the look soft and subtle, I use a matte gel liner to tight line my eyes. The eyeliner should look like it's part of my eyes, so I make sure to keep it close to the lash line. Applying my favorite mascara of choice, I add depth and volume to my lashes. Next, using a precise brown liquid liner, I draw a very thin short wing along the outer corner of my eyes, keeping the line looking subtle.
It's time to bless my face with Heavenly glow! What I love about this blush is that it gives a true glow from within without heavy shimmer or glitter. You'll notice how it blurs the skin while giving a three-dimensional quality at the same time. Mixing Heavenly with Magic Our Feather, I apply this along the high points of my cheeks and follow my orbital bone for a pretty finish. To complete the look, I finish off with Lip Cushion in Development.
I actually went through five Lip Cushions because I wore it every day non-stop – it's that good! This is my favorite product from the entire collection, and I'm actually contemplating on making more colors so let me know what you think. Add a touch of Heavenly on your Cupid's bow to complete the look. Welcome to Magic Hour, where beauty meets magic.
