**Sunday Morning Routine**

It's Sunday morning and I'm getting ready for the day ahead. It's about 10:30 am, and we're supposed to leave at 11:30 am. I'm wearing a tube top with sleeves and black Levi high-waisted shorts, feeling pretty put together despite not having enough time to get dressed yesterday. My friend and I are supposed to meet up later today, but for now, it's just us. We're planning to go to breakfast, then head out to the beach or do some shopping and bar-hopping in the area.

**The Beach Day**

We ended up going to Coronado, which was stunningly beautiful. The hotel we stayed at used to be the world's largest hotel, and it still has that old-time classic charm. We spent some time walking around, trying to find a cool bar we'd found online, but unfortunately, they didn't have outside seating and were closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We ended up driving back and assumed there would be a lot of Ubers and Lyft rides available before the service shutdown, but it was actually the opposite - it took us over an hour on five different phones to get a ride that should have taken 17 minutes.

**The Ride Home**

Luckily, my friend Alexis lives just a block and a half from our hotel, so she drove us back. It's convenient having her live nearby, and we're excited to spend more time together this weekend. We're planning to head downtown and get an early dinner at one of the local restaurants. We'll probably explore the Gaslamp Quarter area and see what kind of deals we can find.

**The Fashion**

I'm wearing a tube top with sleeves and black Levi high-waisted shorts, feeling pretty stylish despite not having time to do my hair or makeup today. I've decided to keep it simple and just showered instead of redoing my look for the day ahead. My friend Alexis is getting ready at her place, which makes it even easier to see each other.

**Monday Morning**

As we wait to leave for the airport in 20 minutes, I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now that I've finally made it back home after our long ride. It's been a big weekend, but I'm excited to share all of my experiences with you through this vlog series. at home right now it is friday morning i woke up a couple hours ago shower did a hair mask did my skincare routine all of that stuff so now i'm finishing getting ready we have some loads of laundry going and we still have to pack haven't done that yet this is probably the latest i've ever packed but we will get it all done in time so we have a couple hours until we leave for the airport so i have some work stuff i need to finish up and yeah i just wanted to start this vlog let you guys know what we're gonna be doing and we're gonna get into it if you guys haven't already please don't um making progress with work yeah it's been a couple hours but um yeah we're making progress so now i'm gonna start packing all right ready to head to the airport i'm wearing this matching jean set from amazon i will link it below and we've got all of our stuff packed right here calling the uber right now and heading to the airport all right so we just checked in this is embassy suites so the original hotel or airbnb that we are going to stay in apparently apparently they had a razor the night before and the people completely trashed the place so they let us know on the way to the airport that apparently it was too trashed and they were not going to be able to have it ready until sunday keep in mind we're supposed to check in friday so this is a major problem so we had nowhere to go so then they said okay no problem um we know that this property you can't use we have another property in san diego we have eight people they give us this three bedroom place but most importantly there's no ac and it's like 95 degrees in san diego which is pretty unheard of it was going to be a major problem so we weren't able to stay there so then we had to find somewhere else so then we've been trying to figure out where on earth are we gonna stay and it's been crazy so it's about 8 30 p.m we just got the place haven't even unpacked darren is starting to unpack right now i'm ready to i'm ready to go okay well you unpacked in like two minutes do you hear how many snaps his suitcase has okay this thing is bulletproof okay it is fireproof okay like we could drop this in a pit of lava and it will live so if any of his nice dress shirts gets dropped in a freaking volcano we're good to go but yeah so now now we just checked in um we basically lost the entire day because of this drama but the hotel's really nice so i'll kind of walk you guys through okay so we walk in we have nice little drapes we have the couches we have a nice tv nice little table in case you want to eat a cooler a little kitchenette okay um we have this little sink here a mirror little area here we have the bathroom nice quality is it wait is there a new door let me just try to close the door where's the door oh the door folds okay pulls that way okay there's the door update there's the door um here is the closet is the closet inside oh okay there's there's there's your shoulder okay yeah it's pretty good size um and then we have another tv okay that's how you going pack so quickly you threw everything we have pants we have slim jims we have snacks we have your vitamins you're bragging about your own patchwork you put everything in your chores that's how you did it and then we've got the bed here we've got obviously the two nightstands and let's let's see what's popping out here what no this is not open do i have to go from there okay we gotta go from the side okay so all right well this lighting is trash but um here's what i'm wearing so um it's kind of like a thick tank top and that has this second attached piece that kind of ties on the shoulder tucked into these abercrombie shorts i had worn the other vlog and then i'm wearing these sandals uh brand blowfish absolutely love them as you can see we brought some games but yeah that's what i'm wearing um okay well it was cute until i showed you in this trash lighting okay the place we're gonna go as close to our trying coyote ugly now so hopefully they're open good morning so it is 10 30. um i woke up a few times and was like no we are not done here and went back to sleep so i'm officially up um darren's in the shower taking a long shower in the history of man um and then after him i'm gonna shower and get ready um so my pjs absolutely love this pj outfit it's my favorite okay so as i was getting ready we found out that everyone was apparently waiting for us so i didn't get to finish my hair my hair got wet in the shower on top so it needs to dry it's not dirty um i haven't even brushed my hair um i had to bring my mascara with me i just did my mascara outside and as soon as the uber gets here because we were doing an xl uber they are one seat short because they won't let anyone sit in the front so now darren and i have to get our own uber there so um turns out could have gotten ready but that's okay we'll make the most of it so we're getting brunch in the gaslamp district i think this is called the gaslamp food company or something like that super cute area though and all of this uh outdoor seating we have like a 40 minute wait though oh my god look who we found do i have a face no oh this lighting's a little better this is this is how i gotta do it like that i'm actually not sure what that is we just got back to the hotel um i showered got my pjs and we're playing games so my friend just went home showered and now she's on her way back so i'm going to pick her up can we talk about the fashion involved here fashion baby fashion good morning okay so it is sunday morning it is about today apparently i'm ready like apparently an hour in advance our um plans for today we're gonna go to breakfast and then most of the people are leaving it's gonna be us and two other people um and we're gonna go to the beach uh maybe do some shopping bar hopping things like that kind of see what there is around here we'll see where the day takes us so we needed to pack up the burrito instead we packed the napkin and forgot the burrito because this really is a wide beach it's like a hike to get to the water hello where's the lighting better okay better this way okay so um we just got back from coronado we hung out on the beach we went to a hotel del rey and it was so pretty i guess um it used to be the world's largest hotel um obviously a long time ago but it's absolutely stunning beautiful like old time classic charm and then we walked around we tried to find this cool bar that we found online but turns out they don't have outside seating so they're completely closed because of corona so we ended up driving back and i don't know if you guys have heard but apparently coronavir or not chronovirus i'm sorry um uber and lyft are no longer able to function in california after thursday because of some legal things i think it's like prop 22 or something like that so until it goes back up for um voting in november i guess they're closing this coming thursday so we kind of assumed that there would be a ton of like ubers and lifts because everyone would be wanting to get you know their final rides in and get as much money as possible before it closes down but it's actually like the exact opposite it took like over an hour on five different phones people trying to request uber and lyft to get someone and then a ride that should have been 17 it kept repricing repricing and it was 97 it's crazy crazy out here so luckily um yesterday alexis because again she lives here um she was like a block and a half from where we're staying so it's super convenient so she ended up just driving us but yeah it's it's crazy up here but anyways we just got back from coronado um we showered obviously i just did a body shower not redoing my hair makeup nope not happening takes too long so that's that um we are going to go downtown where we're like two blocks from like the gas lamp gas light gas lamp gasoline district um so we're gonna go down there and just kind of get like an early um dinner because i think it's like 4 30 right now so yeah early dinner and then maybe kind of explore a little more and such so yeah i'm pretty excited we're gonna have a good time um alexis walked home the block and a half and she's getting ready there and then she's just gonna meet us back here so it is so convenient when we did get this hotel we did not realize how close it was to her so um it is just such a delight because i'm seeing her so much i've seen her more this past week than i have the last like two years so i'm just cloud nine over there cloud freaking 9. monday morning 6 30 heading to the airport in like 20 minutes let's do this hello as you can see we are home so it took us a while to get a lift to get home but we finally made it so i'm going to end
