Samsung Galaxy Fold Finalized _ Hands On

The Galaxy Fold: A New Era in Smartphone Design

One of the first versions of the newest galaxy fold was tested by me, one of the very first reviewers to ever see this new device. The brand new Galaxy fold was packed into a small moon with a handful of reviewers, and I have to say it's cool. You might remember when Samsung first released the galaxy fold, they had some issues with it. They rushed it out to market, and as one reviewer put it, "it wasn't ready for re-release." But Samsung has since repaired and replaced the device, doing some work on the hinge and addressing some of the issues that plagued the original.

The new Galaxy fold boasts an absolutely gorgeous screen, a giant 7.6 inch display (maybe 7.4 inch, but who's counting?). On the outside, there's a separate little display plastic cover, which is basically useless for anything except maybe showing a few notifications at a time. The reviewer notes that in their hands-on review of the first version, they had said that well, "yeah, we end up looking at the big thing unfolding the whole thing to use it more this way more often." But with the new Galaxy fold, the screen is so gorgeous that you'll want to just hold it open all the time.

The phone itself feels like a luxury item in your hand, weighing in at a comfortable 230 grams. The reviewer notes that it's not too heavy, but not substantially so either - it's definitely noticeable when comparing it to other smartphones. The size is great, fitting nicely into most pockets, and the weight feels fantastic.

One of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is: what about the fold mechanism? How does it feel to open and close this thing? According to the reviewer, it's really satisfying - it feels good, and you'll probably find yourself doing it over and over again. The hinge itself is very smooth, with a magnetic clip that holds everything in place (or maybe it's just physical - hard to tell). When you open it up, the screen pops right off, making it easy to use outside without worrying about brightness.

But what really sets the Galaxy fold apart is its size and luxury feel. It's like carrying a tablet directly in your pocket - that's why people carry tablets in the first place! The fact that you can pack this giant screen into something so small is just a real convenience. Of course, there's one major caveat: price. Samsung hasn't released all the details yet, but it's safe to say that this thing isn't going to come cheap.

The reviewer also takes a moment to note that while they could see people playing around with this open and closed thing, the mechanism really needs to be durable. They test the screen by opening and closing the phone repeatedly, just to see how well it holds up. It's clear that Samsung has put a lot of thought into mitigating any issues with the fold, but only time will tell if it truly is durable.

Overall, the new Galaxy fold feels like a game-changer in terms of smartphone design. With its gorgeous screen, comfortable weight, and luxurious feel, it's easy to see why people would want one. But as with any new technology, there are risks involved - namely, price, and whether or not this thing can truly withstand repeated use.
