A Look at the Fastest Cars in Qualifying

As we took to the track for qualifying, it was clear that this year's event was going to be one for the books. With cars pushing close to 4,000 horsepower, the air was electric with excitement and anticipation. We caught up with Tony, who had given Billy a pep talk on his car, and he assured us that they were ready to take on the competition.

The first round of qualifying saw some impressive performances, with drivers like Aaron Miller in the Kratos Viper taking an early lead. However, disaster struck when the rear-wheel drive car locked up its rear end and left the track, bringing out a yellow flag and disrupting the proceedings. The car's license plate was found to have been damaged in the incident, causing some concern among the drivers.

As we continued through qualifying, it became clear that this year's event was going to be one of the closest battles for the top spot on the podium. Drivers were pushing hard to shave precious tenths off their times, and it seemed like every car was within striking distance. With 125 degrees Fahrenheit forecasted for Thursday, the competition was set to be fierce.

One driver who had been making waves all day long was Christine's car, which had seen significant upgrades since last year's event. The car's power output had increased by a substantial margin, and it was now looking like a serious contender for the top spot on the podium. When asked about her hopes for the event, Christine replied that she would be happy to see something in the 220s range. With a focus on consistency and speed, she seemed confident of making it all the way to the final.

But just as things were starting to look up for Christine's car, disaster struck again when Billy's car failed to qualify for round two due to a mechanical issue. The reigning champion from last year's Roll Racing event had been struggling with his car, and it seemed that he was going to have to wait until tomorrow to get back into action.

As the day drew to a close, it became clear that we were in for an exciting few days of racing. With the rain starting to drizzle on us towards the end of the second round of qualifying, it was looking like we might not see much more action today. The track was still largely prepped, but with the heavy rain coming down, it seemed unlikely that anything would be achieved.

As we packed up our gear and headed off into the wet weather, we couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what tomorrow would bring. With roll racing eliminations on the cards for Friday, things were going to get serious fast. We're looking forward to bringing you all the highlights from each day's event, so be sure to tune in every single day.

aaron miller and behind you is kratos a monster car from your camp gonna give you a quick rundown of what you got going on with this car i know it's gonna be one of the contenders here in the roll race this weekend hopefully yeah um it's currently the world's quickest and fastest gen 5 viper in the quarter mile um 690 at 210 in the quarter got its own unique turbo system on this car um i mean it's pretty unique car in total yeah um a bunch of tire on the back of it this has our moto turbo 400 swapped with ati uh doing the trans on that four page 400 that's interesting yeah it's the best love it yeah perfect for drag racing it's they're good at everything they drive around super smooth we just made one test hit just to kind of see what the track will take down low it's gonna need to adjust that a bit um how much power does this car make uh so far on the dyno we made 3306 jeez how much boost was that just 39 or 41 somewhere right in there you've been making about that today hopefully yeah that'd be cool i mean no reason not to um we we didn't quite use that we didn't use that much at um in drag racing or at florida 2k i'd like to get there to a point to use it here um rush and it's the massive horsepower in these all-wheel drive cars so they're pretty safe yeah i like the safety of it i moved away from the two-wheel drive cars for that reason because of the extreme horsepower you had an accident years ago right yeah 11 years ago street racer i was 66. i left the road pretty fast and i got broke up crushed my knee took out my hip i got a new hip too broke all my ribs broke my back broke my neck had a dual bleed and i cut off my right hand really all in one rep oh my god still doing it though oh hell can't get enough of it all that does is it'll slow you down whoever gets to the finish first that's for sure what do you think mile an hour wise you can still hold the record at 237 i think so yeah in in the roll race here i think we'll see 240. it's come with some more power this year no maybe the track doesn't seem to be quite there yet so uh if the track comes along possibly just to let our viewers know approximate power range for these cars oh they're over three thousand over three thousand so if we say average two thousand horsepower for your foots here we're about twenty 000 horsepower in the underground racing fits right now testing is over it's time to go into qualifying once the cars get on qualifying today we're going to find out where they fall in the brackets we've got the elite eight and then three groups of 16 that they're gonna do eliminations tomorrow so yours well giddy is fine there was just some damage on the on the driver's side but uh he hit a pretty much best case scenario for going 200 miles an hour it just hit the back fender when he was going backwards basically and it's just body damage as far as we could tell so that was a really scary accident on top of the r8 that couldn't stop down here one of the sand traps pretty wild quite the wild ride for giddy yeah glad to see all right man yeah i know it's nice it's nice to be alive yeah honestly not even a scratch on me i don't even have a pain in my neck we had all the equipment all the safety equipment the odds but uh just sad about the car we worked hard on that car was it a hard hit because i couldn't really tell from the starting line where i was at i wasn't so bad i mean i was fighting the car was was dancing the whole way down the track i don't know if it's a tire something with the wind the combination of a bunch of things it's really windy
