One Plus 5T: A Comprehensive Review

The One Plus 5T is a powerful and sleek smartphone that boasts an impressive array of features, including a Type-C port, dual SIM card slots, a Sony IMX 398 sensor main camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device has undergone significant changes compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 3, with improvements in design, performance, and camera capabilities.

The One Plus 5T's design is one of its standout features. The device boasts a solid aluminum and metal body that feels premium and durable. The phone measures 156 x 75.9 x 7.4 mm and weighs 153 grams, making it easy to hold and carry around. The device has a beautiful Shelf sitting on the left side of the main home screen, which allows users to customize their home screen according to their preferences. The Phone also features a textured button, which provides a tactile experience when pressed.

The One Plus 5T's camera is another area where the phone excels. The main camera is equipped with a Sony IMX 398 sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor with a 1.12 micron pixel size, electronic image stabilization, and an f/1.7 aperture. This allows for high-quality photos with excellent low-light performance. The second sensor is a telephoto lens with a 20-megapixel sensor, a pixel size of one micron, and a lower F/2.6 aperture. This enables users to capture stunning portraits and macro shots.

The One Plus 5T also features a noise cancellation microphone next to the main cameras, which allows for crisp and clear audio recording during video calls or voice notes. The device also has dual LED flash, enabling users to take stunning selfies in low-light conditions. The phone supports 4K video capture at 30 frames per second, 1080p at 60 frames per second, and slo-mo 720p at 120 frames per second, along with features like time-lapse photography.

In terms of performance, the One Plus 5T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, an octa-core processor that delivers impressive speeds and efficiency. The device comes in two variants: one with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and another with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The One Plus 5T's battery life is also noteworthy. The phone boasts a 3300 milliampere-hour (mAh) capacity battery, which provides an impressive all-day battery life. The device supports QuickCharge 3.0, enabling users to quickly top up their batteries on the go. The phone also has a USB-C port that charges at 5 volts and 4 amps.

The One Plus 5T is available in two colors: Slate Grey and Midnight Black. Both variants feature OxygenOS 4.5 as the operating system, which is essentially Android 7.1.1 with some bug fixes and updates. The user interface is fast and responsive, making it a joy to use.

One of the standout features of the One Plus 5T's camera software is its new gesture-based interface. Users can pop into the main menu from the left by tapping on three dots, allowing them to access various camera modes like photo, video, portrait, pro mode, time-lapse, slow-motion, and panoramas. The device also features a custom gesture that allows users to quickly launch their preferred app or function.

The One Plus 5T's OxygenOS interface has been revamped with new gestures, which provide a more intuitive and immersive experience for users. Double-tap to wake up the phone, flip to mute notifications, and customize drawing gestures are just a few examples of the new gestures available on this device.

In conclusion, the One Plus 5T is a powerful and feature-packed smartphone that offers an impressive array of capabilities, including a stunning camera system, fast performance, and long battery life. With its sleek design, premium build quality, and user-friendly interface, the One Plus 5T is sure to impress users looking for a high-end Android experience.
