Pamu Slide 2 Review - Upgraded And Even Better!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enchris here with the pamu slide twos they are some new anc earbuds from pamu these do have  a run time of up to 26 hours worth the case they use 10 millimeter drivers and the design of them  is the stem design so they're not going to fall out either i've had no issues with them capacitive  touch controls on the rear of them and you can cycle through the wind filtering mode with anc  normal anc mode and even a pass through a transparency mode so you can hear background  noises better the drivers within these are 10 millimeter ones and it does run off the aac codec  with bluetooth 5.2 tech they do have the earbuds but not the case an 4 rating for dust and splash  resistance now with the pamu slide 2 we do have a type a to type c cable they do include a lot  of different tips here so of course you need to find the size that gives you the best seal we've  got the small medium large and then extra large silicon tips we do have an instruction manual in  various different languages and good to see that they do include this which is a pouch for the case  it's not hard to see why they call this model here the slide two like the original slide  we've got here a lid that slides up so you can easily get out the earbuds they sit in there  nicely with some magnets now if you are going to change and use your own tips like some foam ones  you probably have a bit of a problem with them fitting in then because it's made of course  just for their own silicon tips so you can see the pogo port pins there charging contacts are on the  back and that is how they do charge now i have a minor complaint about this case you can see this  line right there and there's one on the other side so what has caused that and it doesn't just  polish off so what is happening is the lid here when you look at the back of it we've got this  guide right here this is the spring and those guides are rubbing up against the earbuds there  so eventually even just with my use now of about a week and putting them in my pocket walking about  the earbuds they rattle around a little bit in there so they move and that is what is causing  that so that's just a minor thing there i wanted to mention it left and right so you can easily  put them in and get them out and know which air to put them in not a problem so down the bottom  there is this status led bar right here now just quickly plug it in to show you you normally see it  when you put the earbuds back in and the charging port location is a little odd there at the top on  the right hand side so you can see now that's the status led letting you know when it charges up so  26 hours in total but out of the earbuds you get around four four and a half hours so they're not  the longest running on a single charge with anc on but then you do get all those additional charges  out of the case and it's easy enough to gauge it plastic quality i would rate as okay it's not bad  but it's not the highest quality it's very easy to market the design of these earbuds has what looks  like well it's a bit of a stem design here and i find the fit of them is excellent it's good they  do not feel like they're ever going to fall out on me which is what you want and i don't feel like i  need to keep pressing them in like i do with some other brands so there is a little filter inside  there we do have an oval style with these silicone tips i've just given them a bit of a clean now but  they aren't softening up after a week of use which is good some other brands they can soften up a bit  and you don't have such a good seal and you feel like you need to keep pushing them in there so  that's helping with the the fit of these of course so we have microphones in the inside the outside  and just down here on the bottom two there's a status led on the top and a capacitive touch  surfaces right here now the capacitive controls seem to be quite good occasionally i do have to  go and tap it again so we've got controls if you tap and hold depending on the air it  is you're using can cycle through the anc modes now the plastics they have used they're not bad  quality this is a like texture to it but it's not a rubber coating over the top so it's not going to  peel off or anything and as i mentioned before we do have that little bit of a mark that has  appeared due to it rubbing inside the case now there's a little sensor right here so it knows  when it's in your ear so it will automatically turn off or on when you put them back in which  is good and there don't seem to be any real sharp edges on the plastics here maybe a little bit  there at the top but overall not bad build quality so the weight of these earbuds is six grams the  lightest or the normal kind of weights i see around four to five so they are slightly heavier  and the total travel weight you are looking at 65 grams one thing i do like about the slide twos is  they have an application app support so you've got different advanced settings here that they call it  so you have a game mode that slows the latency down to eight milliseconds vocal enhancement  and you do have an equalizer here so you can see you've got different options there but what they  don't give us is a custom equalizer with this application unfortunately hopefully that will be  coming through in the future so personal settings firmware updates they do push them out for it  and of different anc modes as well as our battery life here at the top you can see it  on the left and the right earbud and how do the pamu slide 2 sound well the sound signature from  them is leaning a little bit towards the lows this is with their normal equalizer that i do have set  and i have been listening to all sorts of genres of music i've noted that it's reasonably balanced  and the bass that you do get out of them is deep it's punchy it delivers and it's not over the  top it's not overkill bass which does happen a lot with other brands and more cheaper tedious earbuds  it's quite common so that bass is not interfering with the mids it's not clipping at high volumes  which is good to hear it's not distorting and the vocals reasonably good above average i would  say and then the highs pretty much normal there they're nothing exceptional not super detailed not  super crisp but for most people i think they're gonna sound great and reasonably good volume out  of them too when you push them right up and how's the audio sync with the slide twos so they do have  that ultra low latency gaming mode which i'm using right now i think it's good not just for games but  also when you're watching streaming content so this is better call cell amazing series if  you have not seen it it's of course a spin-off of breaking bad but what about the audio it's in sync  with their mouse pretty much perfect and that's what you want so it's not annoying to use these  earbuds when watching videos the only thing i've noticed that occasionally with gaming it might be  a little bit out but the 80 milliseconds that they do have with that low latency mode is excellent  it's really good and onto our microphone sample now so i am recording directly into the timeline  of my video editor and i'm right next to my tower pc which is rather loud with its fans on and i've  got air conditioning on and it's doing quite a good job here those microphones and removing  that ambient noise and this mic quality i think isn't bad at all so good for placing voice calls  the pamu slide twos and what about the fit of the slide two so very easy to place them in your ears  you simply just remove them out put them in give them a little bit of a twist there and because  of the stem design they're easy to fit and they don't fall out i've had no problems with these  you can run up the stairs you can jump and they're not going to pop out on you and it is thankfully  another pair of tdis earbuds where i don't have to keep doing that push them in all the time thing  which does get a little bit annoying because they always feel like they're going to fall out on you  and you're going to have to go like this like oh i think they're going to come out and push  them back in doesn't happen with these which is really good now they do run on bluetooth 5.2 tech  so connection time for me has been very quick and i do like the feature they have because of the  sensor that when you take them out the music will start playing when you put them back in  it will then start again which is good the capacitive touch controls i've had really no  problems with them apart from maybe the occasional hit and miss where i've got to tap it again  uh to go through them and you can through the application to configure those touch controls  which is quite good you don't really see that the app is a good thing too because we've got  an equalizer in it if you wanted a general global kind of equalizer that's going to also work with  games and netflix you do have it then through the app to set it on the earbuds themselves  which can be a problem because normally with just music you can adjust the equalizers there  but then when you go into gaming or netflix or something it won't be using those same settings  i've had no problems with this disconnections the range of these is kind of standard you're  looking at around anywhere from about 5 meters to 10 meters before one of them will start to  break up let's talk about battery life here now on a single charge i was a little  surprised to only get around about four and a half hours before one of the earbuds then  ran out of juice we do get all those additional charges from the case and that's what the a and  c on the top mode okay so the negative noise cancelling it's another set of earbuds that  have surprised me with the strength of the anc for in-ears normally the over-ear cup design  of anc so you get with headphones is the best and will still always be the best because of well  the physical design of it covering your whole ear these ones are not bad at all so i can put them in  and i've got air conditioning on with a fan and a towel pc and i put them on and it blocks it out  completely i cannot hear that fan at all that's fantastic so i have found the active noise  cancelling to be very good now i have no way of measuring the claimed 42 disable reduction  however it's good and i think a lot of people that test this out will be very happy with the anc  modes on this too it's quite handy the pass-through feature so the transparency  it seems to work well not like some of the other brands i've recently reviewed that it seems to do  nothing it does yes boost up background sound so if you need to hear announcements for train  platforms or listen to co-workers talking to you but still listen to music or something you can  do it with these which is good and then the tune as i mentioned i think it's reasonably balanced  in the normal mode through the application a lot of people are going to be happy with that powerful  bass and recently good mids and the highs too not bad at all so sound wise they do sound very good  so there is a lot on offer here with the slide twos i think they're a decent set of tws ear buds  i've been testing out plenty and certainly the microphones too sound a lot better than some of  the recent tedious earbuds that i've reviewed so great to see improvements coming through in the  anc and especially those microphones which are key areas where they have been kind of lacking  before with previous versions so thanks a lot for watching my review here of the pamu slide twos\n"
