Xbox 360 Messenger Kit Unboxing

What's Up My Subscribers: Unboxing the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit for Xbox Live

Hello to my beautiful people and those who make this possible today, I've got a special treat for you all. As you know, I recently unboxed the PS3 version of the messaging kit, and now it's time to give some love to the Xbox 360 fans out there. I picked up this messenger kit from Blockbuster during one of their going-out-of-business sales, where they were practically giving them away. I mean, it was like they just wanted me to take them off their hands.

The unboxing process is a crucial part of Unbox Therapy, and I'm excited to share mine with you all today. First things first, let's get the paperwork out of the way. You know, the usual stuff that comes with any electronic device. Next to that, we have the chat pad, which is always a must-have for anyone looking to stay connected on Xbox Live. And finally, we have this little headset that comes with the kit.

The headset is a basic one, similar to the ones they include with consoles. It's not wireless, but it does come with a cord that connects directly to the controller. This is how Xbox 360 works, folks - you plug into the controller itself, rather than circumventing the system like on PlayStation. To connect this headset, I simply need to line up my Gears of War 3 controller and insert the little plug at the bottom side. It does take a fair amount of force to get it in there, but once it's secure, you're good to go.

One thing that really stood out to me during my first impressions was just how heavy this messenger kit is. I mean, the Xbox controller itself is already quite substantial, but adding this weight to the mix takes it to a whole new level. However, one benefit of this design is the typing experience, which might be slightly better than on the PlayStation 3 controller due to the key keyboard being situated below instead of above.

You still have that chat pass-through option in case you want to do some chatting while gaming, but other than that, the controller isn't changed or altered too much. There's only so many buttons and variations available here, but hey, sometimes less is more, right? Speaking of which, let me give you a better look at the keys and what's available on this chat pad.

You've got your shift and caps keys - everything is quite basic, as I mentioned earlier. But if you're looking for something a bit more extensive, like on PlayStation One, that's not exactly what you'll find here. However, there is a better look at the chat pass-through option for those who want to compare this to the PS3 version of the messaging kit. If you guys are interested in seeing that comparison, feel free to let me know in the comments.

If you liked this content as always please blast off on that like button - it really helps me come up with more Unbox Therapy videos for you all. And finally, until next time and as always thanks for watching you guys!

unboxed the ps3 version actually that was my last video let me know if you guys want to see a comparison between those and i wanted to give the xbox 360 fans some love and unbox this messenger kit for them as well and uh you know i basically picked this up from blockbuster one of their going out of business sales you know they're pretty much shutting down their operations at least most of them and so i paid next to nothing they practically handed it to me and said get out the store just walk just walk right out okay that didn't happen but but it was basically like that so um let's talk about the unboxing this is unbox therapy right um we got a little bit of paperwork let's get that that out of your way and we've also got the chat pad as well as a little you know headset here not wireless i guess it's wired at least to the controller but that's how xbox goes that's how xbox 360 works right unlike um on playstation where you circumvent that system go back to the system itself in this case you plug into the controller now um this headset is super basic i mean it's like the ones that they basically include with the consoles this is to get you up and running on live or maybe you know as a backup who knows now to connect this thing you see i got my gears of war 3 controller here you want to line up you know this little plug on the bottom side and it takes a fair amount of force to get it in there and um on each side of the controller there is a little recess where you got to click that portion in and then you're good to go now the first thing i noticed is that this is heavy i mean the xbox control is heavier than the playstation controller to begin with but you throw this baby on there and it gets heavy but but the typing experience is probably better than on the playstation 3 controller only because the key keyboard is down below you instead of up above you have to move your hands less so as i mentioned you still have that chat pass through in case you want to do some chatting of course with your vocal cords instead of your thumbs and otherwise it really doesn't change or alter the controller too much so here's a better look at the keys and what's available you got you know some shift and caps keys everything is really basic it is not as many buttons or variations as are on the playstation one and there's a better look at that chat pass through so if you guys want to see me compare this to the playstation 3 version go ahead and let me know in the comments and if you liked this content then as always please blast off on that like button let me know you love it so i can come back with more for you anyway guys until next time and as always thanks for watching youwhat is up my subscribers my beautiful people those of you who make this
