Tesla Plaid 1020HP vs 762HP Porsche Taycan Turbo S _ REVIEW on Autobahn

**The Ultimate Showdown: Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring vs Tesla Model S Plaid**

In the world of high-performance vehicles, there's no shortage of exciting options to choose from. But what happens when two behemoths of the automotive world face off against each other? We're talking about the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring and the Tesla Model S Plaid. Both cars have been making waves in their respective segments, but which one comes out on top?

We began our test drive by hitting the track with both vehicles. The Porsche GT2 RS Touring was equipped with a staggering 1,250 horsepower from its twin-turbo flat-six engine. With Max at the helm, we took off like bullets, the car's massive Vibe silhouette slicing through the air as it devoured the asphalt. But despite having the numbers to back it up, the Porsche struggled to keep pace with the Tesla Plaid, which was somehow keeping up despite its relatively smaller 1,100 horsepower output.

One of the biggest surprises came when we noticed that the Porsche's top speed was limited to 260 km/h (161 mph), a far cry from the 300 km/h (186 mph) our car is capable of. We were left wondering if there was some sort of electrical issue at play, but it's clear that the Porsche's massive carbon-ceramic brakes are being held back by the limitations of its battery and drivetrain.

So what really sets these cars apart? The answer lies in their respective ride qualities. For us, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring is a masterclass in comfort and handling. Despite its massive size and weight, the car glides over road imperfections like they're nothing, with barely any wind noise or tire squeal to speak of. It's an experience that can only be described as sublime.

On the other hand, the Tesla Model S Plaid is a completely different story. With its electric motor producing a mere 1,100 horsepower, it may not seem like it should be able to keep pace with the Porsche GT2 RS Touring. But one thing's for sure – when it comes to sheer performance, the Tesla leaves everything else in the dust.

We put both cars through their paces on the track, taking turns at high speed and pushing them to their limits. And while the Porsche was undoubtedly quick, the Tesla proved itself to be just as capable, if not more so. The real surprise came when we hit the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) mark – the Porsche clocked in at a blistering 4.2 seconds, with the Tesla taking an even quicker 3.7 seconds.

But how did our experience with these cars translate to the daily drive? For us, it all comes down to comfort and handling. The Porsche is a masterclass in refinement and subtlety, with its precision handling and whisper-quiet ride making it a joy to drive every day. On the other hand, the Tesla Plaid is a blast of raw energy and power – but at the cost of some harshness and less-than-refined dynamics.

So which car comes out on top? In our book, it's a close call. While the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring is undoubtedly a masterclass in driving experience, the Tesla Model S Plaid is a powerhouse of performance that simply can't be ignored. We'd give the Porsche a score of 9 for its exceptional handling and ride quality, but deduct points for its disappointing top speed.

The Tesla, on the other hand, scores an impressive 10 out of 10 for sheer performance – but loses points for its less-than-refined dynamics and harsher driving experience. All in all, we'd give it a score of 9.5 out of 10.

But enough about that – what's the verdict? Does the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring take the crown, or does the Tesla Model S Plaid prove itself to be the ultimate performance machine?

**The Verdict:**

* **Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring:** 35 points

+ Performance: 7.4/10 (disappointing top speed)

+ Handling and Ride Quality: 9/10

+ Comfort and Practicality: 6/10 (less-than-refined dynamics)

* **Tesla Model S Plaid:** 37 points

+ Performance: 10/10

+ Handling and Ride Quality: 8.5/10 (harshest driving experience)

+ Comfort and Practicality: 7/10 (more equipment, but less refinement)

And the winner is... the Tesla Model S Plaid! But don't get us wrong – the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Touring is still an exceptional car that's sure to put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this POV review now my name is Martin and today I'm taking a look at the Porsche Tycoon Turbo S the sport Turismo version versus the Tesla Model S plaid and it's been a while since we did a comparison video because it's always quite difficult to really come to a conclusion and that's why I have developed a rating system called PP p-e-e-p-i price exterior experience performance and interior that quite about covers everything we are interested in at Odessa panel so let's have a look at the price of the two this is 140k in the Netherlands and that is 197k wow 197k for a car that is about the size of a 3 Series touring that's something special but what you get with the two is also quite special but we have to take into account that the Turbo S has carbon ceramic brakes as standard and you can only get those all as an optional extra with the Tesla and they are 20K holy man 20K for a set of carbon ceramic brakes unbelievable so this would have been 160k versus 197k but the stock equipment with the Tesla is quite generous in contrast to the Porsche uh that thing over there is 237k which is unbelievable so let's come to the first rating out of 10 the Tesla gets a nine because it is a 1020 horsepower car for just 140k that thing is 761 horsepower so I'm going to give that a five and those scores are not just based on the power levels now it's based on everything so the brand value equipment value the size of it everything so it's it's really like the feeling of value for money the feeling of value for money with this is really high and with that one it's quite low so that's why this got a nine and that order five let's carry on the exterior so I'm going to really take into account the coolness and just the beauty of both so what are we looking at here this is quite an old car that got a few facelifts and it's still quite old looking to me so I don't really like the wheel designed a matte black finishes a bit 2006 for me the red doesn't really shine um the overall design of the car just doesn't do anything to me and it's just outdated so that's why I'm going to give this a five whereas this the Porsche I think especially as a Sporter as well one of the best looking cars you can get nowadays what a beauty especially in this like Nardo grayish color don't know the exact name of it but wow definitely a nine for me because it's also really really cool if you pull up at your favorite restaurant in this yeah you'll definitely look cool and in this not that much so a nine for the Porsche and a five for the Tesla now the Interiors also going to rate those let's check out the Tesla really spacious interior with a new screen setup with a horizontal screen instead of the old vertical screen this is much better um the overall interior quality is a lot better than with the first Model S's which were just horrible we do still have like weird alignment issue issues and panel gaps and stuff like that but the overall quality especially the seats are just a lot better than they used to be so really spacious a lot of equipment even back here there's a big screen for the kids where they can watch YouTube Netflix Disney plus stuff like that and it's really spacious in the back and it really feels spacious and stuff's been made out of leather carbon fiber materials are really good quality however finishing it is a lot better but it's still you know stuff like this and this and it's all a bit nah so coming from a 10 I'm going to give it minus one for the finishing panel gaps alignment um this stuff like this and another minus one for the yoke because I just don't like the steering wheel it's not practical it's not nice to drive it's not nice to hold it's nothing get rid of it Tesla it's a stupid marketing exercise and it's just stupid so that in total is an 840 Tesla interior now let's head over to the Porsche and let's check that out so coming from a 10 again let's check out the space in the back uh this is not really that spacious this isn't either and there's not a lot of things to do for the kids so it's quite a wide car but you don't really get to experience that when you get into it because when you sit in it actually quite cramped in here so what they really did very well is alignment quality that is all superb with the Porsche it is a bit minimalistic and you could say it's boring especially because it's black and black and black but the quality and the way the steering wheel feels the leather super soft I really like the thin rim of the steering wheel you get so much feedback through this steering wheel all the buttons just have a listen to this this is the steering wheel Heating that is the perfect button feel oh that is the stuff you want that is a 10 for quality in total I'm also going to rate it an eight very nice seat soft leather great support just a great great interior and with the dual screen setup that just doesn't make any sense to me because why would you have the same screen here and here why the person sitting here can he can't he cannot reach this no he has to have his own I just don't get it okay let's get into the Tesla and start driving go to call my assistant test driver deploy test driver and I'm going to get into the Plaid let's start it up put it into gear like that which is quite stupid now we have several driving modes so plaid isn't even the fastest because it's drag strip mode and it has to preheat before it can you know do launches and stuff like that which is really weird that's not drag racing right drag racing is impulsive I think it's sitting next to a different car at the traffic lights and you want to do a fast launch with the Porsche you can do launch controls whenever you want uh without doing any preparation but with this yeah I I have to wait nine minutes for it to reach a certain temperature okay so we are not going to bother with that and we are just going to do a launch whenever we can Max misbehaving oh oh this thing so let's enter the performance section of this video uh this thing will do zero to a hundred Claim by Tesla in 2.1 seconds but that is with a one foot rollout we got in these circumstances and on Michelin Pilots for for Osiris 2.4 seconds I mean it's three degrees outside the road surface probably is zero degrees and you get wheels spitting or oh oh 100 kph this thing is such a weapon it's the tri-motor setup with carbon rotors and they've done everything to make it a lot better than the old p100d and p90d with all the heating issues that they had uh that's why we really didn't like those cars but this plaid wow this is Tesla performance Next Level they really did an awesome job tackling those issues and the the stupid yoke is just you know why you can now optionally get a round steering wheel go to enter cheetah mode and once again you have to wait for the suspension to do certain cheetah stuff um not really impulsive again take like 15 seconds okay we're ready watch this oh my God that is fast as hell and even in these circumstances a bit dab it's called Summer tires 9.5 on the quarter mile oh my God the performance it blows me away the handling though is quite disappointing because there is no connection to the car whatsoever it doesn't hide its weight it feels heavy brakes a bit disappointing because you have those steel ones now let's get into the taikon to see how it's done because with this the handling the braking is just perfect it's the overall ride quality let's just get into Sport Plus mode why foreign why isn't it doing anything me and electric cars we're we're not on point I want to hear the engine running so I know it's working I'm such a grandpa okay let's do a launch control as I said you don't need any preparation just press the brakes throttle and that's it here we go oh now maybe you can hear that we do have wheel spin even though we're on winter tires um and these are winter circumstances winter conditions uh we got like a 3.2 it should do a 2.8 and we know from previous turbo s's uh that they actually do a 2.8 so it might not sound like a lot because we did a 2.4 with that 2.8 with this but the difference is night and day this is 761 horsepower on launch control where you're not using an orange control like 99.99 of the time you have like 600 and something I'm I forgot the number 620 you have like 620 horsepower why is that so weird but this is a Porsche and on those twisties it feels like nothing else it's like a mid-engine Supercar with the comfort of an air suspension Panamera wow this is an amazing accomplishment by Porsche the ride quality of this is so good I'm just lost for words it's sharp it's Nimble it's communicative it's comfortable not because you twist a button no no it's all those things at the same time okay so we are just going to floor these cars Max already knows that we are going to he knows what to do what's up guys we've got a new edition for the garage this is an M3 touring petrol Vibe silhouette they've got an Easter seal right now which means that on top of their 20 discount you get 10 with code for your own custom wall art check out the tour so we are not drag racing these cars on the Ultra Ball which is forbidden I just encountered this plaid and he is going Full Throttle as well as me but this is the difference he's just gone now the Porsche does have an 800 volt architecture and the Tesla at 400 full that does mean that the Porsche will do the performance claimed all of the time despite the battery level and the temperature of the battery with the Tesla with the tri-motor setup and the carbon roads and stuff like that it is a little better than before but you do see it going down where you do multiple runs so the Porsche did a 100 to 200 is 7.4 seconds and that's because this is the sport Turismo if you get the sedan it'll do a 7.2 which is a bit disappointing when you compare it to the Tesla but we'll get to that later now the top speed of this is 260 which again for me it's a bit disappointing we have those massive carbon Ceramics so it is equipped to do 300 easily it should have the power to do it but I don't know why there's probably some electrical issue uh to do that but for a Porsche it is just nearly unacceptable I think but the ride quality is the biggest difference I think the Porsche is so comfortable you don't hear anything no wind noise no tire noise when you get into the Tesla especially back to back it's like that somebody leave a window open it's it's that big of a difference which I'll now demonstrate so even though Max pulled away quite convincing back then he didn't have full power because as you can see the battery level is completely dead uh but we're going to try it anyway we are just going to use the numbers we got with a full battery okay I'm going to tell him to overtake me what a beauty oh man I'm in love with it such a cool car okay once again we hold the stupid joke oh we don't we don't have max power but it still is just a bullet so 100 to 200 4.2 seconds dad even for a thousand and twenty horsepower in a car this heavy is super super quick 200 to 250. 3 7. holy that is unbelievable so performance let's give it a rating I'm going to give the Tesla a 10. yes a 10. but we don't have the carbon ceramics which means we are not driving a 320 kilometer an hour car no it's only 260 something like that so I'm going to give it a minus one for that which makes it a nine the Porsche I am really disappointed with that because the performance is just that's a 7.4 this is a 4.2 that's nearly double the amount for its power You know despite the fact that that it's an electric car it's just disappointing I'm going to give it a four so that leaves us with experience Driving Experience driving involvement driving fun quality experience stuff like that so with the Tesla when you get in it as I said everything is louder wind noise tiring noise there's just more little sounds making it less comfortable than the Porsche you don't get the involvement of the Porsche you don't get the feedback of the Porsche you don't get the driving fun of the Porsche there isn't a single like discipline Driving Experience wise that the Tesla beats the Porsche it's just performance it's a blunt weapon it's a lot of power it did at 37 points so congrats to Tesla and it won because this performance at this price is just unbeatable thanks for watching guys see you at the next onewhat's up ladies and gentlemen and welcome
