Creating Planner DIYs: A Beginner's Journey
As I sat at my desk, surrounded by scraps of paper and craft supplies, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. My goal was to create some beautiful planner DIYs, but I had no idea where to start. I began by rummaging through my stash of paper clips, searching for the perfect one to use as the base for my first project. After trying out a few different sizes and shapes, I finally found the one that I wanted - it was a simple paper clip with a bit of flair.
Next, I decided to add some embellishments to make my paper clip more interesting. I used a hot glue gun to attach some colorful paper strips to the back of the paper clip, creating a fun and playful design. As I worked, I couldn't help but think about how easy it was to create something beautiful with just a few simple supplies. The paper clip and embellishments looked great on their own, but I wanted to take my DIY to the next level.
To add some extra flair, I decided to weave the paper clips together using a technique called "hold tight." This involved wrapping the paper clips around each other in a circular motion, holding them tight with hot glue. It was a bit tricky at first, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to create a beautiful and sturdy design. As I worked on this project, I realized that practice makes perfect, and I couldn't wait to try out my new technique.
My next DIY project involved using a tool that I had been saving for a special occasion. I decided to attach it to the paper clip, but things didn't quite go as planned. The hot glue refused to hold, and I was left with a tangled mess. However, I didn't give up - I used a ribbon instead of hot glue to tie everything together, creating a beautiful and rustic design. I learned that sometimes, things don't work out exactly as planned, but that's okay. It's all part of the creative process.
Moving on from my tool DIY, I decided to create a shaker card using some clear pocket-like goodie bags from Daiso. I filled them with sequins and rhinestones, adding a bit of sparkle and shine. However, I soon realized that this design wasn't quite working - the background paper was too plain, and I wanted something more interesting. So, I took everything out of the bag and started again, tracing the pocket around my paper to create a new background.
As I worked on my shaker card, I couldn't help but think about my inspiration for the design - a beautiful notepad that I had seen in the Target dollar spot section. The notepad was a stunning work of art, with colorful illustrations and inspiring quotes. It made me want to create something similar, using my own unique style and flair.
To add some personality to my shaker card, I used stickers from the Dollar Tree - specifically, heart-shaped rhinestone stickers that I had seen in my planner before. I added about four of them to the inside of the pocket bag, creating a sweet and sentimental design. Next, I filled the rest of the bag with sequins and rhinestones, sealing it with some washi tape.
As I finished up my shaker card, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Creating planner DIYs is all about experimenting and having fun, even when things don't go exactly as planned. I learned that practice makes perfect, and that sometimes, the best ideas come from trying something new. My shaker card turned out to be beautiful, with a lovely mixture of sequins, rhinestones, and washi tape.
As I looked around my desk at the various supplies and materials that I had used for these DIYs, I felt grateful for the opportunity to express my creativity. Creating planner DIYs is not only fun but also rewarding, allowing me to add a personal touch to my planner pages. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, I encourage you to give this a try - it's never too late to start exploring your creative side.
Before moving on to the next part of our journey, I want to apologize for any mistakes that may have occurred during filming. As a beginner, I'm still learning how to handle my camera and microphone, but I promise to improve with time and practice. Thank you to all of my viewers who have been watching along and supporting me every step of the way - your encouragement means the world to me!
