Lenovo Thinkpad Edge e420 Overview

The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 420: A Review by Tech Tubers Calm

Hi there, this is Randy from Tech Tubers Calm and today I have a quick overview about this leather moon think path. This is a mid-range notebook from Lenovo and it's really popular with business users. Actually, my cousin this is not my notebook or this unit came for a review but this is my cousin's notebook and I had the opportunity to use it for a couple of us and I'm going to share my news about the same.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 420 comes in two models, one with an Intel Core i5 processor and another with an Intel Core i3 processor. The model with the Intel Core i5 processor has a high-end processor that is clocked at 2.3 gigahertz. It runs on the combined I 5 processor, which means it's a dual-core processor but has hyper-threading, so the operating system sees it as having 4 cores. Windows 7 notes that it comes loaded with 4GB of RAM and the screen size is 14 inches, with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The ThinkPad Edge 420 also comes with about 500 GB of hard drive space. When I give you an overview, as you might have noticed, the texture is not moving black or grey but it's a mix of that and it's not glossy. Fingerprints do not spray out that easily because of this feature, and the design looks "rainy" - elegant. Let me zoom in on some details, notice the tank back no move itself when it's in standby mode. The thin fat logo close the eye close when it's in the standby position - it looks elegant and by just glancing the notebook you have an idea that the notebook is in standby position.

Now, let's look at the ports. We have one VGA outpour and we have two USB ports, which is a combo code that supports eSATA and USB. We also have one HDMI port, headphone out, and a card reader over here on this side of the front - there is nothing but this whole thing is a grill and it's basically a speaker. The order for it is pretty decent; it's not really thin or light like some other laptops but it's adequate. On the other side, we have our Express slot, which is special USB that is powered by USB 2.

We also have one Ethernet port on the backside of the laptop, which is for releasing the heat and the weight of this laptop. According to me, it's pretty decent - not really light or heavy in threes at to Katie. Let me open the laptop now. The keyboard layout is very full, with a full keyboard size that is a real joy to type on. The keys are really responsible, and we have our full trackpad with two physical buttons over here and again two physical buttons over there - this is the thumb. We also get a fingerprint reader.

The ThinkPad Edge 420 comes with Windows 7 32-bit. I love it all - the laptop is pretty responsive and works great. However, I've noticed that some laptops have a stack problem, but I haven't experienced any problems with this model of thing pack. According to me, the screen quality is a little bit on the lower side. I feel that the screen is a lot warmer because of this feature, which is why it has a slight yellow tinge. Overall, this laptop is pretty great and pretty responsive, and I don't have any problems recommending it to anyone who's looking for a high-five based notebook computer - it provides us with a good amount of ports for expansion and typical business environment with a very good battery life.

But if you are someone who works with a lot of photos or video-based applications where accuracy of colors is important, I would not recommend this laptop to you.
