A $29 Tablet Actually Exists

Hey, what's good, guys? Keaton here. So we're back at it. You guys really liked the last video I did, which was me checking out a $37 tablet. So I went to Fry's yesterday, which is like the budget electronics store, and I found this guy. Just came out of Fry's. I didn't think it could get any cheaper, but we found a $29 tablet. Was an open box. Marked it down to 27 bucks. Let's check it out.

Almost dropped it. So I'm super excited to check this out. And since I broke the tablet in the last video, I'm super sorry. Drop a thumbs up on this one if you guys want me to use this for a week. I really want you to think about that because you are literally like making me, you put me in a tough spot. So let's check it out.

All right, so this guy goes for 29 bucks, links are in the description below. But since this was an open box deal, literally they didn't even have one that was brand new. It went for $27.54. Definitely breaking the bank there. We got this. You can definitely tell it was an open box deal 'cause they did their best attempt to put the plastic back on. Not bad. Feels okay. I got it in purple.

What, what the hell's this? It's an AC adapter. I have never in my life seen an AC adapter to charge something. So there's a first for everything. We actually have a micro USB cable, so... Okay, not why we're here. And then we got some manuals. Not gonna read that. Literally you guys know how the game goes. I don't read. This is interesting. It's yellow. You don't like it, call. They wanna make it right, so.

All right, Maylong. So if you guys are new around here, obviously we're not gonna talk about the specs. For 29 bucks, I mean, you could take some dope selfies and multi-tasking kind of works. And, I mean, YouTube videos actually look good, so the call's really up to you. So yeah, that's pretty much it for this video, if you guys enjoyed it and want me to actually use this for a week, because I'm not gonna throw this at the wall, drop a thumbs up on this video, go ahead and get subscribed if you're new around here and follow me on Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook, because I'm giving you guys behind the scenes on all of those, and let's hope I can make it through a week, because let's just face it, I'm probably gonna be doing it anyways.

Thanks again, I'll see you guys soon. Peace. Gonna grab a sip of the energy drink. I would love to be a sponsored athlete, just, I gotta play sports. Looks cheap. We're gonna decide... If it reflects the price tag.

Let's check out this tablet and see what we can do with it. So, I'm excited to start using this tablet and seeing what kind of things I can get done with it. It seems like a great value for the price, but like I said, there are some concerns about the specs and the overall build quality.

The first thing that struck me when I picked up the tablet was how light it is. It's definitely one of the lighter tablets I've ever held in my hand. But at the same time, it feels pretty flimsy. I mean, it's not like it's gonna break or anything, but it just doesn't feel very solid. And the screen... well, the screen is okay, I guess. It's not the best display I've ever seen on a tablet, but it gets the job done.

So, let's talk about the specs. The tablet has an 8-inch display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. That's not exactly the highest resolution out there, but for $27, I'm not expecting anything too fancy. It also has a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, which should be enough to handle most basic tasks.

But what really caught my attention was the camera. The tablet has a 2MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. That's basically non-existent for anything other than taking selfies or video chatting with friends. And even then, it's not like you'd be able to get any great shots.

One thing that I do have to say is that the tablet does seem pretty responsive. The touchscreen feels smooth and the interface is easy to navigate. It's definitely one of the more user-friendly tablets I've seen in a while.

Okay, so let's try out some games on this thing. I'm gonna see if we can get Temple Run 2 running smoothly. And... well, it looks like there's an error message popping up. Let me just try to sign in and see what's going on. Hmm, no luck. The tablet just keeps cutting out and won't let me connect to the internet.

I'm starting to get a little frustrated here. I mean, I know that this is a budget-friendly option and all, but come on! Can't we at least get some decent games or apps? It's like they lost authorization for the Play Store rights or something. We're just gonna say you can't play games on here. Yeah, that's pretty much it for the gaming aspect of this tablet.

Well, I guess that's all there is to say about the Maylong tablet. For $27, you get a pretty basic device that should be able to handle some light tasks like browsing the web and checking email. But if you're looking for something more substantial, you might want to look elsewhere. Or maybe you just really need a new tablet and don't care too much about what it can do. In that case, this might be the perfect option for you.

So, that's my review of the Maylong tablet. If you guys enjoyed this video, please drop a thumbs up on this channel and subscribe if you're new around here. I'll see you guys in the next one!

obviouslywe're not gonna talk about the specs. For 29 bucks, you cannot have expectations.Just be happy that it might turn on.Just be happy it's even here. That's all I can really say.So let's go ahead and peel the plastic thatwas once peeled off already.I feel like this is a hand-me-down Christmasgift that someone just didn't want and thatI ended up paying for, so.On the side, we have a 3.5 millimeter headphonejack.Maybe we can listen to music. You never know at this price.Micro USB port and then our charging portin AC what, like I'm still never gonna getover that. And the cool thing is we actually have a microSD card.I like that.On the front, we have a, I'm gonna give youone spec.A .3 mexapixel camera.Best part? Not even centered.Do you see that? It's like they tried, but didn't succeed. It says, Maylong Mobility Tablet.I might be taking this in the car.I don't really know. It's running Android 4.1.The last one was running Android 5.1, so fornine dollars less, we had to make some budgetcuts.Swipe to unlock it, and here's what it lookslike.Pretty responsive.I mean, first impressions?I kinda like the feel of the Maylong tabletover the other one, the Naxa.I kind of like this poly-carbonate back here.It just, I don't know, it just feels satisfyingand reassuring. So one of the things I do a lot of is watchvideos, especially when I'm on a tablet. So we gotta fire up YouTube as a motorcycleis riding past.Stop it, Mr. Motorcycle.I'm making a video. We're gonna check out this new channel I found.Tech Channel. It's got like 100 subscribers.Show a little bit of love.Let's fire up the video and see how this is.This isn't an HD screen.Again, we cannot have standards. So which one do we watch? This is tough. We'll watch this one.If it loads.I have very good wi-fi.All right, so...Speaker on the back doesn't sound horrible,it's definitely tinny, but I mean, you can'thate, you can't hate. It's not bad.And the speaker's like not bad, especiallyif you rest your hand back here.I'm pretty impressed.Another thing I do a ton of is multi-taskingand browse the web.It won't even let me click. It's like, it's genuinely not letting me click.I wanna click, let me click!Let's check out multi-tasking.So we're gonna go to YouTube, go home, gohere, go here, lot of pre-installed apps.Gonna definitely use those, that was slow,we'll go home, load music.Oh wow.We are killin' it, if you guys look up thespecs on this, you'll know what I'm talkin''bout.Let's see if I look good.Let's review these photos. Not bad, I mean, if you're doing basic Skypingyou're gonna be totally fine, they'll be ableto see you, it might not be HD, 'cause nothing'sHD on this tablet, but hey, it works. And the last thing that I wanna check outis games, I've actually never checked outthe Amazon App Store before, so let's go andlook at that. All right, we're signin' in.We'll see if we can get Temple Run 2.Why, how is there an error?I got an error when I was trying to sign in.It just cut out our internet connection. You can't connect to the web, so you can'tconnect to the internet, you can't reallydo much besides take awesome-looking selfieson here.Let's try that again, you see I have internet,I didn't just die.Let's give this another whirl.Don't give me an error.I can't even sign into Amazon. This is a problem. This is a big problem.Matt, do you see this, look?- It really doesn't work.- It doesn't even let me sign in, so.- It probably doesn't even, like, theyprobably lost authorization for the Play Storerights--- We're just gonna say you can't play gameson here.I've tried, that's all I can say.So yeah, for the Maylong tablet...You can use it for some stuff, the fact thatI can't really get any apps is definitelya deal breaker right now.Maybe it'll work. They probably lost authorization.Wouldn't be surprised, so...For 29 bucks, I mean, you could take somedope selfies and multi-tasking kind of worksand, I mean, YouTube videos actually lookgood, so the call's really up to you.So yeah, that's pretty much it for this video,if you guys enjoyed it and want me to actuallyuse this for a week, 'cause I'm not gonnathrow this at the wall, drop a thumbs up onthis video, go ahead
