D3Live: Minecraft Mobile
**Minecraft Mobile: Everything You Need to Know**
Welcome back to another episode of D3 Live! This week, we’re diving into a topic that’s been on a lot of people’s minds—*Minecraft* mobile. If you’re not familiar with *Minecraft*, it’s a fantastic game for the PC that allows you to build, destroy, and do pretty much whatever you want. I like to think of it as a first-person Lego video game, even though there have technically been those, but *Minecraft* stands out as something truly special.
This week, it was announced that *Minecraft* is finally coming to mobile devices. The Xperia Play will be the first device to get it, which makes sense since it has physical controls—something that could be really nice for playing *Minecraft*. While there’s not a lot of information available yet, we’ll be seeing more at E3 from June 7th through 9th, where they’ll show off the game and tell us when we can buy it and all the details.
In the meantime, I thought it would be cool to get everyone’s opinions and talk about what you’d like to see in *Minecraft* mobile. If you’ve never seen D3 Live before, this is a live show being recorded right now on Blog TV, and there are quite a few people here. We’re taking questions and just talking about everything related to *Minecraft* mobile.

### Will Minecraft Mobile Be Available for iPhone?
Yes, it will! They’ve said for a while now that it’s coming to both Android and the iPhone. The Xperia Play is an Android device, so it makes sense that it’s getting the game first because of its physical controls. However, it should definitely be coming to both platforms eventually—probably starting with Android since they’re already working on it.

### Syncing with Desktop
One thing people are excited about is syncing their builds between desktop and mobile versions. Imagine building a world on your computer and then being able to drag it over or have it synced on your phone. That would make the addiction even stronger! We’re hoping that this feature will be available, but we’ll have to wait for more details.
---
### How Much Will It Cost?
The price is still unclear, especially for iOS. I can imagine they might charge a decent amount since *Minecraft* is already a premium game on PC. But if you’ve already bought it on desktop, would it be free? That’s doubtful. On the other hand, I hope it won’t be too expensive. If I were in charge, I’d price it lower to attract more people and get them interested in the full desktop version.
---
### Is Minecraft Mobile an Angry Birds Killer?
No, not yet! Angry Birds is still a huge name in mobile games, but until Angry Birds 14 comes out or something like that, nothing can dethrone it. *Minecraft* has a lot of potential on mobile, especially if they get the multiplayer features right.
---
### Multiplayer Compatibility
This is a good question. From what we can tell, the game looks more like *Minecraft Classic* rather than the beta version. It might not have all the standard features of the PC version but could still include multiplayer. Hopefully, it will have that core feature to keep players engaged.
---
### Will Minecraft Come to Consoles Next?
Possibly, but Mojang is a small company, and they’re not big enough to spread *Minecraft* across every platform at once. While we might see it on consoles like the NGP or 3DS later down the line, don’t expect it anytime soon.
---
### Will There Be Mods?
I would love mods to be available! On Android, it’s likely that there will be easy ways to mod the game, but on iOS, it might require jailbreaking. On Android, I’m confident mods will be possible, but for iOS, it’s a bit less clear.
---
### How Much Would I Pay?
Personally, I’d pay $10 for *Minecraft* mobile because I love the game that much. However, if I were running Mojang, I’d price it lower—maybe around $2—to get as many people as possible interested in the full desktop version.
