Mi Mix 2 Review with Pros & Cons It's Beautiful but handle with Care

The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is a smartphone that offers impressive performance and features at an affordable price point. The device comes with a 5.15-inch display, which provides a great viewing experience for watching videos or browsing through the web. In terms of battery life, this phone can last anywhere from 15 minutes to about 4 hours and 45 minutes of screen on time, making it suitable for a typical working day.

One of the standout features of this device is its low idle drain, which means that the battery drain is very low even when the phone is not in use. This results in longer standby times, making it an ideal choice for users who want to minimize their battery consumption. Additionally, the device comes with a sleek design, featuring a ceramic back that gives it a premium look and feel.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which provides fast and efficient processing capabilities. However, the camera module on this device has been a major letdown for some users. The single camera lens may not be bad enough to impress serious photographers, and it lacks the features that make high-quality cameras stand out.

The front-facing camera is another area where this phone falls short. The camera is positioned at the bottom of the device, which means that users have to invert the phone to take selfies. This can be a bit inconvenient and may not be ideal for users who want a seamless selfie experience. In comparison to other smartphones in the same price category, such as the OnePlus 5, this device's front-facing camera is not up to par.

One of the things that I liked about this device was its fingerprint sensor, which is integrated into the back of the phone. This allows for convenient biometric authentication and can add an extra layer of security to the device. The design of the phone is also worth mentioning, as it features a ceramic back that gives it a premium look and feel.

However, there are some drawbacks to owning this device. For one, it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which means that users will need an adapter if they want to use their favorite headphones. This can be a bit of a hassle, especially for users who rely on wired headphones for music or video playback.

Another issue with this device is its lack of durability. The ceramic back makes it prone to shattering if dropped from a significant height, which can be a major concern for some users. As someone who was careful with their phone and always used a case, I felt that the device was more fragile than I would have liked.

Overall, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is a solid device that offers impressive performance and features at an affordable price point. However, its camera limitations and lack of durability may be drawbacks for some users. Whether or not this phone is right for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

The smartphone comes in India via Flipkart for 36,000 rupees, making it a very good value for money option. Considering its features, design, and performance, it's hard to argue with the price point of this device. However, if you're someone who drops their phone frequently or wants a high-quality front-facing camera, then this might not be the best choice.

If you're still unsure about whether the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is right for you, I would recommend checking out other options in the same price category. There are some great devices available that offer similar features and performance at a slightly higher or lower price point. Ultimately, it's up to individual users to decide what they need from their smartphone and make an informed decision based on their specific requirements.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranchi then I have this mimics - with me and in this video we'll be doing the full review for this device and have been using this device for almost about 10 days I used it with my primary sim for three days and thereafter I used it with my secondary send that is Gio and I'll share my experience in this video and I'll divide the server view between the pros and con so that you can decide if this device is right for you or not but before that here are the specs for the mimicks - as you can see it is part by the snapdragon 835 chipset and the good thing is that it comes with 128 gigabytes of storage and 6 gigabytes of RAM and other specs are there on the screen so let's quickly jump between the pros and cons first I'll talk about why I liked about this device and then move to some of the things that I did not like with this device and the first thing that I really liked about this device is it's one of the most beautiful smartphones that I have tested you have the iPhone X or iPhone 10 as you can see but in terms of looks I would say this one looks a lot better and that is due to this ceramic back but that is also a big con I'll talk about it so in terms of looks I would say Xiaomi has done an incredible job it has a five point nine nine inches screen that's not an AMOLED screen it's the IPS LCD screen but the screen quality is actually really good so if you are a sort of a person to whom look some very very important then you'll definitely like this device but again as I've appreciated that the back is that ceramic and gives you that beautiful look but again it's also a fingerprint magnet so essentially I would say you would have to use this with the case and Xiaomi bundles this case in the box again watch the unboxing video that I posted and in fact while using this device I was always using it with this case on so that's a practicality I would say and also with the case the case is a soft case that they have provided so it's sort of slippery in the hand so that is one thing you have to note about this one but again now moving to the ski screen and as a five point nine and inch screen and quite a few of you were asking me about the screen and the screen quality is actually very gone on this one so you don't have to worry about it Xiaomi has put an excellent screen it's easily visible even in outdoor lighting conditions the viewing angles are Girt the colors pop so excellent IPS great screen that they have provided on this one now moving to cellular call quality as I have mentioned I tested this with a 10th here in Hyderabad and even with the geocell and it did not have any problems so with cellular calls now moving to the here piece if we recall the original me makes the rear piece was a little bit different on that one but on this one they have moved to a regular your piece and the call quality I was getting on this one was actually good so no more problems regarding the cellular call quality or the your piece so that is a good thing that a half-bad noticed on this one and now I'm moving to another thing that I really liked about this again most of the Android flagships are coming with a snapdragon 835 chipset that's the same case with this one so it flies in April I think by default as of now it's running on the mill UI 8.5 that Android 7.1 it is supposed to get the me UI 9 very soon but even with the me UI 8.1 it is running very fluidly I did not notice any lag enos with this device and in fact I would say it's one of the most fluid Xiaomi devices that have used and also in terms of DRAM management it has been done very well I never actually had to manage the apps everything just loaded very quickly and that is futile thanks to the six gigabytes of RAM and even the storage that is provided that is 128 it's actually the storage internal storage is a really fast no cops or no compromise in terms of performance even with the me UI skin it was fine very fluently again I don't say this often but again this is again one of those most fluid Android devices that I have used even though it's running me UI so it's very well optimised now again as I've mentioned it's a dual sim but again now that the dual sim one funny thing that I've noticed is that almost these days many of the phones are dual SIM and both the sim slots are actually 4G but that is not the case on this one only the first slot has 4G enabled the second is actually 2g and 3G enabled so again if you're having the 4G sent put it in the first slot because we've put it on the second slot even though if the first slot is empty it'll just latch on to the 3t net well this is I noticed after about two days this funny thing and I don't know why Xiaomi has done something like this another thing I do not like with this device is that this one again all Xiaomi phones even their budget oriented phones for example that red mean y1 etc have an IR blaster but IR blaster is actually missing on this one and this is their flagship lineup so I just I don't I don't get it why they did it but the good thing is that in terms of sensors and stuff we have all the sensors on it so that is one thing fortunately they didn't cut down on senses but yeah no IR blaster which was very surprising also the ROM management has been done very well and I also played games with this one and it Taron all the games I throw on it fine thanks to the Snapdragon 835 chipset with the audrina 540 GPU it gets slightly warm at the back when you use it heavily but again I didn't notice anything like overheating with this device I would say it comes with this fast charger and when you plug in the fast charger and you charge Y that the back tends to get a little bit warm but again that is normal with any smartphone that's opposed for con quick charging so you don't have to worry about that and the good thing is that in the box you get the Qualcomm quick charge of three with this one now moving to another thing that I liked about this device is that it has a dual speaker setup the bottom is the main speaker but the earpiece also can act like a speaker and when I was watching a lot of YouTube videos and other videos I really liked that because it gives a stereo effect and gives you a immersive feeling so in that respect I would say it ups the 1 plus 5 because the 1 plus 5 just has a mono speaker here at the bottom so I like that thing and about again I talked about the missing headphone jack in the con section now if you talk about the battery life the battery life is very similar to actually the 1 plus 5 that I was getting so it'll last for a typical working day without any issue in terms of screen on time I would say you will get anywhere between as 15 minutes to about 4 hours 45 minutes of screen on time that this one so for a typical working day to last you but again if you are sort of her what is a heavy user you will have to charge it every day but one thing that I really liked about this device is that if you're not a heavy user for example where I was using at my secondary saying I didn't take a lot of calls and stuff it was lasting over two days so the idle drain battery drain is actually very low on this device so the standby times that you can get are actually really good so these will some of the good things that I liked about this cell device so in battery ya it is similar to the one plus five and other smartphones that come with the snapdragon 835 chipset now let's move to the things that I did not like with this device and the first thing is regarding the camera if you notice this one is hiding that single camera lens and yeah for a single camera lens it is good enough but I mean in this price point you have a lot of competition for example its nearest competitor was this one plus five which has this dual camera setup and in fact I've posted a dedicated video where I compared its camera performance with the one plus five and I would say it holds on well with the rear-facing camera but yeah if I have to compare the one plus 500 overall I would say did a better job but when it comes to the front-facing camera the front-facing camera actually here at the bottom so you have to actually invert the phone to take selfies and stuff and it's not a good experience and in fact the front-facing camera is let's say let's just be very frank about it it's not that good in fact I would say it has sort of bad so this is the weakest front-facing camera that I've seen with a phone coming with the snapdragon 835 chipset so if you are a person who takes a lot of selfies or videos and stuff and front facing camera is important for you then this device is simply not for you it's clunky you have to rotate it to take selfies properly and stuff so yeah rear-facing camera is okay but the front-facing camera was sort of a disappointment now coming to one more thing it gives you the great looks and I've kept this because I need to vibe this because it's a fingerprint mag and yeah in terms of looks because of that ceramic back it gives you that beautiful look as I mentioned earlier but ceramic is a child even accidentally if it falls down and just with three feet fall it will simply shatter so you have to be careful with this device and that is the reason when I was using this device I was always using this with this case so yeah when you put this case the most beautiful part that is back of this device let me just put this case back it's sort of covered so as you can see but the practicality is that if you bring bind this device you would have to use the case and even though the cases I've told you it's actually very slippery because this case doesn't offer any CREP so again you have to be little bit careful with this one and lastly one thing that I really did not like with this one is that Xiaomi has also omitted a 3.5 mm headphone jacks so there is no headphone jack with this one yes they gave an adapter USB type-c to a 3.5 mm headphone jack and I did test that it does okay I would say it's not bad it's not great I tested with a couple of headphones but again they should have provided a 3.5 mm headphone jack and this one because the food is not that small as you can see I'm putting this one one hour this is iPhone X the iPhone X is a lot smaller compared to this one so yeah so I don't like the fact that they have omitted the headphone jack and in fact I have already lost that 3.5 mm headphone down so again you don't get that and this device is sold in India via Flipkart for 36,000 so certainly a very goodness Mart phone and one of the most beautiful smartphones that have views but again it's not without its flaws and if you are going to buy this be a little bit careful because if you drop it the back can shatter and I don't like the fact that the front-facing camera performance was actually pretty disappointing but overall again the performance of the phone was good and looks in terms of looks yeah it looks really good so again you have to decide if this smartphone is right for you or not again if you are still not subscribe to my youtube channel hit that subscribe button if you found this video review helpful I'll appreciate if you can click the like button thanks for watching this is Reggie and I hope to see you in my next videohi there this
