do the camera comparison because both of these smartphones are claiming to be camera centric smartphones but the way they approach is actually very different for example the me a one has this dual camera setup and one is a regular one and the other one is a telephoto that is a zoom one Vera's on this honor 9 I I mean it has a dual facing rear facing camera but the second one is not a zoom one which helps the first sensor and also enables some effects like depth mode another thing is that even for the front-facing camera of this on a nine I actually has dual camera setup so again it can do some things like portrait mode even with the front-facing camera but again and let's look at the samples and you decide which one is better so here are the pictures side by side and on the Left we have the honored 9i and the me a one images on the right and in outdoor lighting conditions have noticed that the image is produced by on a line I are a lot more brighter as you can see also in this image as you can see in terms of color reproduction the honor nine images again are a little bit more punchy whereas the color reproduction slightly on the dollar side with the me a one this image clearly shows you what I was talking about as you can see the image with an honored 99 has a lot more vibrance brighter and even the dynamic range is better on the 9 I and again as you can see this is another image and here also I would say in terms of color reproduction the honor 99 produces slightly richer pictures for example even Samsung phones to that it's similar to that one but the me a one has that telephoto lens status that 2x zoom and I use this to exhume and this picture and this was the picture with the honor 9 I and I just zoomed into the picture 200% even at 200 per person as you can see the honor has good amount of detail both half portrait mode so I just shot a picture in portrait mode of this statue but notice the color difference this is the major difference that I've noticed in terms of color reproduction both to produce a slightly different image apart from the portrait mode on the honor 9i we also have that depth mode and you can blur the background even a lot more if you want so I just use that mode on this picture and decided to take some shots on myself this is in the normal mode and here are enable the portrait mode the moderate mode actually does very good on the me a1 and this isn't the regular mode with the on at 9:00 eye and this is when I enable the portrait mode another shot in the portrait mode with me a one with the me a one with the portrait mode it actually uses the telephoto that is 2x zoom and this is another shot with the honored 9i in the portrait mode this was shot on the me a1 and it produced a good picture and this was shot with the honor 9 i but the honor mine i also has that depth note so i took this picture in that depth mode in terms of macro shots i could go a lot closer to the object with honor 99 if I went too close to the object with the me a1 it was blurring a little bit this is from the front-facing camera often honored 9 I and the honored 9 I also has the portrait mode with the front-facing camera and this picture was taken with the front-facing camera of the me a 1 in terms of front facing camera yes clearly the honor 9i has a far better front facing camera with that portrait mode now recording this sample side by side on the Left I have this honor line and on the right a half the me a 1 and I'll be switching between the audio side by side so that you can have an idea which one is doing a better job one thing to notice that with this honor 9 I you have to actually by default even in the video mode with the front facing camera the beauty mode is enabled so you have to actually disable it otherwise it will be shooting only at 720p once you disable it it goes to 1080p I've disabled it and this is the 1080p footage and you guys let me know which one do you think is doing a better job in terms of video recording with the front-facing camera just moves in different lighting conditions so that you can get an idea and again this is an auto mode so they should actually give you an idea which one is doing a better job in terms of fer video recording with the front-facing camera now I'm recording the video side by side and this is what the rear-facing camera have said both of them to 1080p and let's see which one is doing a better job with the rear-facing camera first let's check the focusing let's bring them near this object and let's just quickly so looks like the Mia when took about a second focus but yeah it does also focusing just go back like this and let's try again close upon check let's just go here so yeah both are doing auto focusing in video but both are not the fastest I have to say in terms of focusing but yeah let me do the walk test walking and here I feel the a one might do slightly better but you be a judge I'm just walking this is handheld let's look at the sky and see how well it exposes let's just come back so this is a sample at 1080p with honor 99 and the me a 1 now let's move to indoor lighting conditions and in this picture again I would say the honor 9 I did that look at the background it has a lot more light and you can differentiate the objects a lot easier but in this picture I was very surprised that I feel the me a 1 picture a slightly sharper compared to the owner 9 9 and in this picture also I feel both of them didn't do a great job okay this is pretty low lighting conditions but if I have to pick up one I would say the me a one that's slightly better in this picture this was also sort of a tricky shot but I feel both these devices actually did a good job at this picture now let's move to very low lighting situations in my office and here I would say both of them did do a great job but if you look at the left the Samsung logo is slightly sharper on the on earth nine nine the me a one to reduce noise is just softening the entire picture which is evident even in this snapshot again both didn't do a good job but I feel again on a nine I did slightly better than the me even even in this picture now moving to this picture here the me a one did a lot better if you notice the on a nine I the image is a little bit shaky and in low lighting conditions the shutter speed is not that fast compared to the me a one hence here the me a one did a lot better but when it comes to background blur in low lighting conditions the me a one portrait mode simply does not work in low lighting situation whereas you can enable that depth mode even in low lighting with the honor 9i so which one do you think is a better camera centric smartphone I would say both of them have their strengths and the weaknesses I would say if you shoot a lot of video then from the rear-facing camera that is then I feel the me a one might be better because the stabilization at 1080p is a lot better on the me a one and also the me a one can shoot videos in 4k but again if you take a lot of selfies and stuff then the front-facing camera as you saw on the me a one was simply no match for the on ernie are denied the lot more brighter and artificial lighting conditions they were slightly better than the me a one so again it'll come down to your preferences if you shoot a lot of video and you need that 4k support then the me a one would be your pet but again if you take a lot of selfies and you general you want a good camera I would say the honor nine I might be the better one but again do let me know which
