Good Morning to Everyone: A Day in the Life of a Busy Home Cook and Fitness Enthusiast
It's 7:00 a.m., and I'm waking up, ready to take on the day. As part of my daily routine, I'll be sharing with you what I'm eating throughout the day. My husband is quite skilled at making hash browns, which he achieves by putting a little bit of avocado oil in them. To get that perfect browning, it takes about 15-20 minutes. Before I start cooking, I need to check on my daughter and see if she's awake; unfortunately, she's not a morning person. Once my breakfast is ready, I'll share what that looks like.
After finishing breakfast, I had a macro bar earlier while driving, which I liked. For lunch, I'm going to stick with my sweet potato in the toaster oven. Lunch is done, and if you enjoy my nutrition videos, I'll put a link to some of my other ones up here. Before heading to the gym, I had a hard-boiled egg on the way. Upon arriving at the gym, I warmed up and then completed a 54-minute workout; I'm proud to say that I finished in 2119 seconds, which is actually a decent time for the Filthy 50.
After my workout, it's time to decide what to eat. With two pounds of ground beef available, we need to figure out what dish to make. Spaghetti was an initial suggestion, but since we don't have regular pasta at home, I decided on making a Mexican bowl instead. I can order food from a nearby place that delivers or opt for ice cream; it's always a struggle trying to keep my family happy with their taste preferences.
As the day winds down, I showered and now it's time for dinner. I have sushi rice, grass-fed beef from a local farm, tomatoes, onions, and 100% grass-fed cheese. To prepare this balanced meal, I simply throw the ingredients together. And that's what breakfast looks like in our house – hash browns with scrambled eggs and bacon.
In between meals, I had another macro bar earlier while driving; it's one of my go-to snacks. If you're interested in nutrition videos, I'll share some links to other content. As for lunch, a sweet potato cooked in the toaster oven is all I need. Before heading out, I stopped by the gym and had a hard-boiled egg on the way. Upon arriving at the gym, I warmed up for my 54-minute workout; it was a great session.

I decided on making sushi rice with grass-fed beef from a local farm, as well as some tomatoes and onions. This meal is not only balanced but also delicious.
As the day comes to an end, I reflect on all that has been accomplished – cooking meals, going to the gym, and taking care of my family's taste preferences. It's not always easy, but it's worth it in the end.
