We take the $100 Cybertruck R_C for a spin

The Mattel Creations Website is Going Live with the Cybertruck on May 21st

We've got an early look at the toy, and we're excited to dive in and see what's inside. The remote control car that comes with the Cyberquad ATV is a fun accessory that looks like the wheel of the Cybertruck. It's lightweight, made of plastic, and has a good rubber feel to it. The wheels have a similar design to the real Cybertruck, but without the side view mirrors. One notable feature missing from this toy is the unibrow light on top of the real Cybertruck.

The remote control car charges via USB port and can be played with for about 20-25 minutes before needing a recharge. The real Cybertruck, however, goes from zero to 60 in just 2.9 seconds, making it a much faster vehicle. This toy is designed for younger kids and has a top speed of around 10 miles per hour.

Mattel Sent Over the Collector's Edition as Well

In addition to the standard remote control car, Mattel also sent over the collector's edition Cybertruck. This version comes with four-wheel drive and more power than the standard model. It's designed for kids who want a more detailed and realistic experience. The collector's edition has a lot of extra features, including decals that can be applied to create a cracked windshield effect.

The collector's edition also has a more see-through design, allowing kids to see inside the truck. This version comes with a tailgate that opens and closes, as well as a bed cover that makes it look like the "vault." It's clear that Mattel put a lot of thought into designing this toy to appeal to fans of the Cybertruck.

The Kids Were Loving It

As we played with both versions of the Cybertruck, we noticed that they were taking it quite seriously. The kids were laughing and having a great time playing with the toys, but things took a turn for the worse when we tried to get the remote control car moving again after we'd been playing with it on the basketball court.

It seemed like the toy just broke after a few minutes of use, despite not being dropped or thrown at. This was disappointing, especially since we had been having so much fun with it. However, this is certainly a concern that Mattel will need to address if they want their Cybertruck toys to be long-lasting and enjoyable for kids.

We Hope Mattel Keeps Making Kid-Friendly Versions of the Cybertruck

Despite the short lifespan of our toy, we can't help but love the design and concept behind it. The Cybertruck is an iconic vehicle that's sure to appeal to fans of science fiction and action-packed adventures. We hope that Mattel will continue to make kid-friendly versions of this toy in the future.

The idea of a toy like the Cybertruck is just too cool to pass up. It's fun, it's exciting, and it's perfect for kids who love adventure and exploration. Whether you're playing with the standard remote control car or the collector's edition, there's no denying that this toy is going to be a hit with kids of all ages.
