The Brand New Steam Application for iOS and Android: A First Look

Hey guys, this is Austin, and I'm here to give you a first look at the brand new Steam application for iOS and Android. This is still in beta, but let's take a closer look at what you can expect.

First and probably most important, you have full access to the Steam catalog of games. This means you can browse through any new games, check if they're on sale, and even buy them straight from your phone. I'll use the game "The Darkness" as an example here. When you take a look at it, you'll see a few different things - a little image of the game, some information about it, and you can add it to your wish list.

You also get to take a look at screenshots, although, there are no videos yet. Normally, with Steam, you'd be able to watch video trailers to see what's new and exciting, but not this time. However, you do get to see a couple of screenshots that give you an idea of what the game is all about.

If you're interested in purchasing the game, you can pre-purchase it or add it to your cart, which will be synced with your Steam account on your PC. The same cart, by the way! And if you want to buy the game right now, you can do that too - very cool!

One of the best things about this app is that you can access specials and deals without having to log in or use a computer. When there's a major Steam sale, you can just pull out your phone and check out what games are on sale.

You also get to see some additional information about the game, such as which ones you've originally played and which ones have been added recently. And, if you want, you can take a look at your friends' activity and chat with them online.

Finally, there's the Steam news section, where you can check out announcements, press releases, and other interesting stuff. The app is available now as an invite-only beta, but downloading it will still add you to the list, so keep an eye out for that invitation soon!

Hey guys, if you enjoyed this video, definitely leave a thumbs up, and if you're interested in more videos like this, be sure to subscribe!
