The Pragmatech Smart Ultra 6 Review: A Budget-Friendly Android Experience

The Pragmatech Smart Ultra 6 is an entry-level smartphone that has gained attention for its impressive features and affordability. With a price tag of just £125, which translates to roughly $195 USD on pay-as-you-go, this device is an attractive option for those looking for a budget-friendly alternative to more expensive smartphones.

The device's interface is akin to stock Android, offering a user-friendly experience that's reminiscent of high-end smartphones. The viewfinder has a few useful features, including the ability to switch between manual Auto and pre-loaded modes such as Panorama HDR filters, multi-exposure interval capture, and smile detection. From the viewfinder itself, you can also switch between different camera modes, set a timer, or switch to selfie mode.

One of the standout features of the Smart Ultra 6 is its software, which is clean and simple. The interface is intuitive to use, offering enough features to keep most users happy. However, there are some minor flaws that may detract from the overall experience. For example, the app drawer can be a bit messy, with no easy way to customize the order or move apps into folders. Additionally, home screen management is quite basic, allowing you to simply add wallpapers or widgets and access them by a long press of an empty area.

Despite these minor issues, the software has some clever tweaks that set it apart from other carrier-branded devices. For example, a swipe to the right on the home screen allows you to open a predetermined favorite app, which can be customized in the settings menu. The device also supports double tap to wake, meaning you don't need to fumble around looking for the power button or unlock the handset even in one-handed mode.

The Smart Ultra 6's specs are also impressive, particularly when compared to more expensive devices like the Motorola Moto G4+. While it may not offer all the bells and whistles of higher-end smartphones, its feature set is on par with other handsets in this price range. The device's performance is powerful enough to handle demanding tasks, making it a solid choice for those who want a reliable smartphone without breaking the bank.

One of the most significant factors that contributes to the Smart Ultra 6's affordability is its lack of bloatware. Unlike many carrier-branded devices, which often come pre-loaded with unnecessary software, the Pragmatech Smart Ultra 6 runs mostly stock Android. This results in a cleaner and more streamlined interface, which should appeal to users who value simplicity over feature-richness.

The Smart Ultra 6's design is another area where it shines. While not the most stylish or unique device on the market, its practicality and affordability make up for any aesthetic shortcomings. The device feels solidly built and well-crafted, with a durable plastic casing that should withstand regular use.

In conclusion, the Pragmatech Smart Ultra 6 is an excellent choice for those looking for a budget-friendly Android smartphone. While it may not be perfect – its design could be improved upon, and the camera is somewhat suspect – its impressive feature set, power performance, and lack of bloatware make it an attractive option for users who want a reliable smartphone without breaking the bank.

At just £125, the Smart Ultra 6 offers exceptional value for money. When compared to other entry-level and mid-range smartphones in this price range, it stands out as one of the best options available. The device's performance is on par with higher-end handsets, while its software is clean and simple – making it a great choice for users who want a hassle-free smartphone experience.

Overall, the Pragmatech Smart Ultra 6 is an excellent example of how to create a solid budget-friendly Android smartphone. Its impressive feature set, power performance, and lack of bloatware make it an attractive option for users who want a reliable smartphone without breaking the bank. If you're in the market for a new smartphone and are looking for a great value for money, the Smart Ultra 6 is definitely worth considering.

is to be expected from the somewhat uninspiring design I'd have liked to seen the speakers at the bottom or on the front of the handset but this would have increased the price and given the price tag we can definitely forgive the speaker placement the non- removal back cover and 8.4 mm thickness means Vodafone have managed to put a 3,000 mamp battery inside the smart Ultra 6 the capacity is definitely on par with a flagship smartphone that can cost four times the amount and the smart Ultra 6 definitely deserves credit for its battery capacity the large capacity is reflected in the
