The TCL Six Series Television: A New Era of Excellence
As we gaze upon the TCL six series television, it's hard not to feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This brand-new 4k UHD TV is set to hit the market in 2018, and based on what I've seen so far, it's shaping up to be one of the most impressive TVs of the year. If you've been following my TV coverage, you'll know that I've had the pleasure of reviewing some truly outrageous pieces of technology - from massive 146-inch wall TVs to cutting-edge 8k OLED sets.
But amidst all the hype and excitement, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters: a great TV that most people can actually afford. One that offers excellent performance without breaking the bank. That's where the TCL six series comes in - a TV that promises to deliver just that. And if you've been following my TV reviews throughout 2017, you'll know that I was blown away by the TCL P Series from last year.
The TCL P Series was the sleeper hit of the year, offering outstanding color accuracy and an impressive array of features at an unbeatable price point. The 55-inch version of this television even managed to come in at $649 retail, making it a true bargain for those who wanted high-quality TV without sacrificing their budget. So what's remarkable about the six series? Well, TCL had to make a pivot decision in 2017, originally planning to release a 65-inch version of the P Series.
However, the company decided to improve the TCL six series line instead, bringing out new 55- and 65-inch models with even better performance specs. The 55-inch model boasts an impressive 92 zones of local dimming, while the 65-inch model takes it up a notch with more zones than that. And let me tell you, this TV looks stunning - its gorgeous metal casing, slim bezel, and simple metallic stands make it a true showstopper.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to review this TV on the floor at CES, which is always a challenge when trying to get a sense of a TV's performance. But from just glancing at it, I can tell you that it looks every bit as good as the 2017 P Series, and I have no doubt that it will turn out to be even better under rigorous testing once we get our hands on it.
As for pricing, TCL hasn't announced anything yet - but based on history, we know that these TVs are going to be some of the most cost-competitive options on the market. So if you're looking forward to buying a TV in 2018, I'd say keep an eye out for the six series. It's shaping up to be one of the best TV releases of the year, and I have no doubt that it will deliver on its promises.
