The Best Mouse You WONT Buy

Here is the reorganized text:

**The CD 900 ST: A Legendary Pair of Headphones**

I won't bore you with a 10-minute explainer on these headphones, but I'll give you the short story. The CD 900s were designed by Sony engineers in the 80s at the request of Sony Music to allow for higher-quality monitoring for recording and mastering purposes.

This was a time when CD releases increased in popularity, which is why there's a four-digit sticker on the side. It took Sony three long years worth of R&D to put the finished product to market, and initially, it was only available for corporate orders and to people "in the know." However, due to high demand from the consumer and prosumer market, Sony pushed it to full retail in 1995.

**30 Years Later: The Most Widely Used Studio Monitor in Japan**

The CD 900 ST is said to be the most widely used studio monitor in Japan, which is a big deal considering Japan has the second-biggest music market globally, only following the US. As an avid J-pop fan, I appreciate that most of my favorite music was probably mixed on these headphones.

**The Epitome of Audio Quality**

This is literally the epitome of that old sales gimmick: "I can listen to my music in the way it was originally intended." The standout feature is the detailed sense of depth paired with a sound signature that's very well-balanced. It's not too flat, with moderate bass detail and clear vocals.

**A Swiss Army Knife for Headphones**

The result is a sound that's both excellent for audio work as well as casual music listening – something I do both as a content creator and a consumer/prosumer. You can call it a "Swiss army knife" of sorts for headphones, even the build quality is something else.

**Metal Construction with Heavy Professional Work in Mind**

The CD 900 ST has metal construction with heavy professional work in mind, and it's also very repairable by design. You can probably build the headphones from scratch seeing how many parts are available for it all this said, it's not surprising that there are examples of CD 900 STs in the wild lasting upwards of 10-15 even 20 years.

**The Perfect Pair of Headphones**

Not gonna say the CD 900 ST is the perfect pair of headphones – they're the perfect pair of headphones as I mentioned in a previous video on the Xbox Series S. It packs a hell of a punch in a tiny package that you could take with you from place to place, say if you're traveling to a friend's house or a hotel or between offices like I do.

**The X Screen: A Travel-Friendly Solution**

What about if you could use it like a laptop and not have to worry about finding TVs or monitors to play on when you're out of the house? Well, thanks to the X screen, it turns out you can get pretty close. If that's something you're into – now of course this is no substitute for an actual gaming laptop as it doesn't have a built-in battery.

**The X Screen: A Sweet and Intuitive Solution**

Come on, this thing is pretty sweet especially with how well it integrates with the Series S. Not only does it mesh well with the physical design and aesthetics of the console but it has its wiring set up where the only thing you need to do is plug in one power cable into the wall and then you're gaming.

**The 11.6-Inch Display: Fantastic at 1080p**

The 11.6-inch display itself looks fantastic at 1080p, has excellent viewing angles, the speakers get very loud, and it even utilizes HDMI CEC control with the Xbox so that if you close the lid it also shuts down the console just like a laptop.

**The X Screen: A Good Implementation**

The X screen might not be a first-party product or even certified by Xbox themselves but it certainly has the attention to detail that could slightly convince me that it was however, at $250 USD it is almost the price of the Xbox Series S itself.

**In Conclusion**

That's all I got for this video. If you guys are interested in any of the stuff I've talked about, the links will be in the description. Thanks very much for watching this video on Denki Channel. Thanks again for getting me to 10,000 subscribers – I'm looking forward to making more videos for you all otherwise, I'll catch you all in the next one.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enin today's video i'm gonna be throwing the spotlight on five odd pieces of tech that'll add some spice to your setup from gaming accessories to headphones to things that boost your productivity we've got a whole variety of stuff welcome to denki channel my name is ken and let's jump right in secondary monitors can add a whole lot to your setup as productive or distracting as they might be they open up a world of options for window management and convenience however a lot of people don't have space for a full-fledged secondary monitor maybe you have a small room such as a dorm or just your desk is really small and that's where a mini ultrawide comes in there are hundreds of listings for these odd screens for various sizes resolution and aspect ratios i found that the sweet spot for me was this 10.3 inch screen from vs display it sports a 1920x720 ultra wide resolution over hdmi that scales in windows without any weirdness having tried only two of what seems to be hundreds of these screens i should give you a fair warning that your mileage might vary but both of the options i've tried were pretty good as screens that are made to be used in cars unsurprisingly they're bright have excellent viewing angles and contrast as well as color if not just being a tad bit saturated but the tiny form factors of these displays means that you can place them in locations that even a traditional monitor can't go and that's in both portrait and landscape mode all you need is a stand or a mount i'm using an easel that i got from daiso for like 50 cents put it on the side of your monitor above it below it or if you want to make the ultimate portable setup you can use it as a secondary monitor for your laptop the possibilities are honestly endless and if you're curious yes you can game on it it's a 60hz display and it's honestly pretty smooth just one more note some of the models that you find online might not have a proper housing or power supply included such was the case with my 10 inch monitor behind me here it did require a little bit of ingenuity to set up cleanly but if you put in the thought and a few pieces of tape it makes for a really neat external monitor but just search around and look a little harder because you might be able to find some more consumer friendly ones such as my 8.8 inch monitor it has the full case and power supply included and it definitely looks way less jank than that one but at least on camera looks pretty good for those of us that basically live at our desks using computers all day prioritizing comfort and ergonomics goes a very long way it keeps you healthy and not in pain all day so you can keep working even if head empty not that i would know this mindfulness also trickles down to the peripherals we use like keyboards and mice there are loads of options out there for all different kinds of preferences but if i may throw a curveball suggestion a drag ball and not just any trackball the logitech mx ergo if it looks familiar it's because it's brother the mx master has been featured all over tech youtube however despite it looking like a mouse with a left ball the mx ergo is not an ordinary mouse you don't move it like an ordinary mouse because again it's a trackball cursor movements are done with your right thumb moving the ball which reduces strain on your wrists and therefore encourages better posture and virtually that's the only difference between the mx ergo and normal mice your left right and center click as well as scrolling are done on it like it is on every other mouse this doesn't just help intuitively in mastering the learning curve of using a trackball but once you figure it out and get used to it it's easy to hop back and forth between the mx ergo and a normal mouse which you'll probably want to do if you're gaming though i guess thinking about it rts's and simulators might be pretty good plus i actually like that it doesn't look like hell 9000's bastard child it definitely makes for a less intimidating experience if someone else decides to take a drive take a drive at my desk really some additional features to note you can change the pitch of the mouse on its magnetic base between 0 and 20 degrees depending on what's comfortable for you and there's also a helpful dpi toggle for your cursor to balance speed and accuracy most of all i also like this on the mx master but there's a button on the top that you can use to hop back and forth between devices i can't express enough how much i like this mx ergo a lot in fact i've been using it for the better part of two years and my wrists love me for it the reason why i even got it in the first place was because i was experiencing sharp joint pain in my wrists and this went a long way to correcting that along with the 40 bottles of tylenol it's not an addiction i could stop any time i want before i continue going down the list i'd like to say a quick thank you in your support for getting denky channel to 10 000 subscribers it is seriously unreal that we've hit this goal so quickly and it only makes me want to produce even more fun videos like this one if you guys aren't a part of our community already and would like to support the channel please consider hitting that subscribe button and hit that funky little icon bell icon bell bell icon to get notified on when the next video goes up this next product is really cool and can spice up your setup and is sure to turn heads and start conversations when people drop by to visit but it comes broken out the box on purpose here we have a grid studio frame a piece of art that showcases some of tech's greatest hits over the years but blown up and arranged in a way that you don't see all that often having it all dissected and laid out for you is not only cool but it can help the beholder appreciate what goes into devices they might have used in the past grid studio presents their pieces with a clean minimal design that's super attractive and upscale looking but also informative most of grid's arrangements have labels to tell you what parts are what but even some have descriptions and specs to put it all into context these things are so cool i have an ipod touch grid behind me here at my desk which personally reminds me of grassroots tech youtube when i started making my own stuff back like 11 years ago jesus this device well not specifically that one carried my first youtube channel on its back i reviewed it i reviewed apps on it i absolutely loved this thing and i probably wouldn't have this cool job right now if it wasn't for it and for a framed piece of art to remind me of that to help me appreciate it more i think that's pretty rad above all else the quality of these grid frames are excellent we've dropped them transported them between offices they hold up very well and the components that they use to display are especially minty i mean peep the back of this ipod touch if you've never owned one or seen one if you so much as stare at it it scuffs up if you guys are curious i highly recommend checking out the grid studio website they have a ton of apple frames game boys psps nokias just to name a few full disclaimer they are a bit pricey though there are discounts and frequent sales that soak up the damage a bit and remember it's a curated piece of art on your wall that had some design and thought put into it it might not be for everyone but personally i think they're at least worth checking out okay fair warning this next one is incredibly niche it's very ken a little weeb don't click away i promise it's very cool these are my favorite pair of headphones the sony mdr cd 900 st and you too can have one of the most important pairs of headphones ever made in your setup for just about 175 dollars if we're judging a book by its cover it's nothing particularly special the cd900st looks virtually indistinguishable against sony's other popular studio monitors look at the box and it looks like you got scam by wish and it doesn't even come with a warranty and even if it did you couldn't rma it because you can't officially buy it here in the west without importing it from japan and even then the intended market is industry recording studios and professionals hence why there's no warranty what the cd900sts give you is the most detailed fun sounding studio monitors you will hear for its price point as well as some design quirks and features and some interesting tidbits that make these bland looking headphones more than what meets the eye i actually decided to spare you guys the 10 minute explainer on these headphones but long story short the cd 900s were designed by sony engineers in the 80s at the request of sony music to allow for
