**A New Romance Novel to Look Forward To: "The Matchmaker's List"**
In this upcoming romance novel, we follow the story of a young woman named Juno who discovers that she has a rare genetic match with a stranger. The company behind the technology uses DNA testing to match individuals with their perfect partner, and Juno is no exception. With her diamond mat rating of 98%, she is considered one of the most compatible matches available.
Juno's story takes an interesting turn when the company approaches her with an offer to test out their services on herself. The catch? She'll have to get to know a stranger who has been matched with her through the same technology. Juno agrees, and as she starts to spend time with her match, River, she begins to develop feelings for him. However, their relationship is complicated by their initial awkwardness and lack of communication.
As Juno and River navigate their growing connection, they must also contend with the challenges of modern dating. The novel explores themes of identity, compatibility, and the complexities of relationships in a way that feels both authentic and relatable. With its focus on science and technology, this book is sure to appeal to fans of romance novels that explore the intersection of science and love.
One aspect of the novel that stood out to me was the author's thoughtful portrayal of single motherhood. Juno's seven-year-old daughter is a constant presence in her life, and the author takes care to depict the challenges and joys of raising a child as a young adult. This added layer of complexity to the story makes it feel more nuanced and realistic.
Overall, I was thoroughly charmed by this romance novel. The author's writing style is engaging and witty, and the characters feel well-developed and relatable. With its unique blend of science and romance, "The Matchmaker's List" is sure to appeal to fans of authors like Christina Lauren. If you're looking for a new read that combines humor, heart, and a healthy dose of skepticism about modern technology, then this might be the book for you.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today i am here to film another recent reads video my recent reads videos are exactly that books i've read recently i tried to learn them all in one genre and this video is just that so this is going to be like a most anticipated romance reads that i've read recently that's a mouthful but um i am talking about five romance books that i was very highly anticipating at the beginning of 2021 there's a lot of them that are not out yet but i hope that's okay i had early access to them via netgalley which if you don't know netgalley is an arc site where you can get advanced readers copies you can either get approved or denied trust me i get denied plenty but yeah i just thought this year i'm going to read arcs in advance just read what i want to read mood reading and i thought you know hey maybe this will help you maybe in a couple months time when some of these books come out if you want to pick it up or not the books i will be talking about today are second first impressions by sally thorne actor age eve brown by talia hibbert people we meet on vacation by emily henry twice shy by sarah hoggle and the soul mate equation by christina lauren these videos i tell you what the book is about what i thought about it what i liked what i dislike to end my rating they're going to all be spoiler free they're going to be quick and to the point and time stamps will be down below in case you want to hear about one particular book let's get into it the first book i'm talking about today has not come out yet it comes out in like a month so it's close and then a second first impressions by sally thorne if you don't know she wrote the hating game which is a very popular romance book my favorite romance book of all time um her first book went over so so well it's very popular here on booktube her second book 99 percent of mine did not go for so well so i think a lot of people are very mixed about this with good reason because you know of how the second release went and i have to say i actually really enjoyed her third book it comes nowhere near close to her first book the hating game but i was thoroughly and i thoroughly enjoyed it so this book we follow a character named rusi who works at like this retirement village she's like the secretary but her boss goes away so she's kind of the boss for a while and she also you know she's an old soul she has glasses like on a necklace she wears a lot of cardigans she dresses kind of old-fashioned if you will and basically one night when she's out getting gas for one of her um clients or one of the people that live in the retirement village this really hot motorcycle guy mistakes her for like an old lady and he's like oh wow you're not an old lady you just went to like a golden girls party so obviously it's like off to a wrong foot comes to be that this guy teddy is actually the son's owner of the retirement village and so he gets a job there and they become friends and feelings emerge from that so this is a really cute kind of friends to lovers romance about a blossoming romance and it was just adorable it's very sugary sweet both characters you really enjoy there's no like an animosity between them like the hating game where it was really fueled by hate to love romance but i really like this it's a cute book it's one that just gonna make you smile have those heart eyes and things like that so i ended up giving it four i liked it i think if you do not enjoy her previous book 99 mine i would give this one a chance because i actually really enjoyed it next up is one that is already out so that's good and that is actor age e brown by talia hibbert is the third and final book in the brown sister series that she has written the first two are right here so each of the books follows one of the sisters the first book was chloe the second book was danny this one is eve so eve's the youngest and she really struggles with what she wants to do in life she doesn't really know so her parents kind of forced her like hey you know move out get a job like decide a career because she always is dabbling in careers and somehow through a turn of luck maybe bad luck she gets a job as like a chef at this local bed and breakfast and her boss is jacob and they do not get along he's also autistic so this does have some great autism rep which i really enjoyed because that's near and dear to my heart you can honestly tell it's a hate to love romance it's cute all of these books in this series are cute it's a perfect time to binge them all since they're all released now i know a lot of people ask do you need to read these in order i don't really think you need to but it would be beneficial if you did just because you do see the sisters and their significant others throughout the series and so that might spoil it for you if that makes any sense so i would recommend reading these series and i would recommend reading the series and orders because you just get to know the sisters each in their own individual way with their own book and i still don't know which one is my favorite honestly it's so hard to say but this one was just super cute i loved eve i love jacob i love their you know hate to love chemistry i was all about that i gave eve brown a four out of five super cute doesn't disappoint i think i've given every book in this series a four out of five moving into perhaps my most anticipated romance of the entire year is people we meet on vacation by emily henry this one comes out in may may 11th and so i'm reviewing this like three months early i apologize but i just really wanted to read it i really was gonna wait till summer but you know it was dreary outside i needed a book that could lighten my spirits and get me out of a slump and it did just that so if you don't know emily henry writes a lot of why a contemporary books and i actually do not enjoy her why contemporary i've read love that split the world and i did not like it at all so when she released her book beach read last year i was like oh this book sounds so good but i'm so hesitant because i didn't enjoy her why a book don't let that stop you because beach read was one of my favorite romances last year like it was amazing so needless to say i was very much anticipating her latest release people leave me on vacation oh this one did not disappoint whatsoever i gave it a five out of five wasn't surprised in the slightest that i gave it a five out of five so her first book beach read her first adult romance was really hate to love kind of romance this one is a true friends to lovers romance follow poppy and alex i mean this book kind of goes all over the place time wise so poppy and alex met when they were freshmen in college and they did not hit it off they are very very opposite poppy is full of life wants to travel she has a quirky sense of fashion all those things and alex is kind of you know he knows his course in life he knows what he wants they both actually meet i think at the university of chicago or university in chicago i don't know i'm sorry but they both learned that like they're from like two towns that are really really close together small towns in ohio and you know he wants to move back there and start a family and things like that and poppy's like no i want to like travel do things but somehow they become the best of friends and they decide you know he's like you know i don't want to travel as much as you i can give you like a week or something i give you a few weeks every single year so they decide to go on a summer vacation every single year together they start off really small they only go to like different states because they don't have a lot of money and then when they graduate college poppy gets a job at this magazine that's actually like a travel magazine where she writes articles so um they're able to go to a bigger and better and fancier location what kind of follows them throughout the year so when we start the book we learned that poppy and alex have not talked in two years because something that happened on their vacation two summers ago has kind of really separated them and so poppy is really just not loving life she feels kind of lost she doesn't love her job she doesn't love traveling as much and she decides hey i'll reach out to alex and let's see if we can do one last like summer vacation together let's you know let's fix things let's be friends again let's work on things and so they decided to do that they go to palm springs california because his brother's getting married and so it kind of goes from there so like you said you get snippets of like five summers ago seven summers ago things like that and i love a good friends to lovers romance like goodness me you spend the whole book like just be together ready just be together already and when they get together it is just so amazing so i loved how realistic poppy and alex were and how realistic their love was because opposites attract you know there's a lot of couples that are very similar but there's a lot of couples that are very opposite you know love doesn't have one singular way of being so i loved how poppy and alex came to be and how they were friends first and just gosh this book had so much sugary sweetness but also a lot of depth and realization because poppy and alex like they both wanted so many different things out of life that you were just like how could they be together because they are so vastly different in what they want in life and that is a big thing when it talks about being with someone you know if you don't see eye to eye on certain things it's like how can we be together you know but i love the way emily henry wrote this it's definitely a great book to read by the like lick or beach or in the backyard whatever you want to do when the warmer weather hits i know in may when this book is going to be released it will be warmer here so it would have been a perfect time to read it but i'm glad i read it now because i can tell you guys how much i loved it and how much i think it was just as good as beetroot they're both just very separate books they're both beach reads them and you know they have a lot of amazing steamy cuteness but also a lot of depth to them um and they're both very different in regards to like hate to love and then friends to love so yeah i really like this five out of five wasn't disappointed enjoyed it a ton is twice shy by sarah hoggle which comes out april 6. so not too many weeks you have to wait for this one yay um sarah hoggle wrote where is it at it's up there um you deserve each other which i read last year and really loved was one of my favorite romance of the year it was a true hate to love romance this one's kind of similar as well as far as like the tropes with it this book we fought character named maybelle which is about as southern as they come and she works near pigeon ford is that in tennessee i think it's in tennessee i'm so sorry if it's not is that like this um kind of resort and she just really does not enjoy her life like she works this job which she hates she has these fake friends that you know mabel knows they're really not her friends they're kind of horrible and she's just like this is not a great life and so one day she gets a visitor at work and they're like hey your great-aunt violet died and she's like oh my gosh that's horrible she hasn't seen her in many many years because her mom kind of lows her aunt and things like that but maybe always remembers really spending this amazing summer with her aunt um when she was really really younger and really bonding with her so the lady's like hey your great aunt died but she left you her whole estate and it's a huge estate like it's like 30 acres with this huge like kind of old school mansion on it and it was like yes this is my ticket out of here i'm done so she goes to this estate and what she remembers as a young girl this beautiful sprawling you know big estate that was pink and beautiful is really kind of old and dilapidated and full of like hoarding kind of stuff that her aunt has um gotten inside and she also learns that there's a groundskeeper there that has a cabin named wesley and when she meets wesley the lady that informs her that her grandad died it's like oh yeah by the way she left you both 50 50 of the estate so they're like oh so they fight over what they want to do with the estate and things like that he wants to turn it into an animal sanctuary she wants to turn it into a hotel that her like this house used to be a hotel way back in the day so they kind of fight over it and basically it's a book about them fixing up this house like they have to clean it out they have to get rid of all the stuff because their aunt like bought a lot of different things like she kind of hoarded honestly and they have to clean it it's like three floors and through the course of it you know they become friends and of course you know it was first a kind of hate to friendship then a friendship to lovers kind of thing and it was cute it's a lot different from you deserve each other in my opinion where that book was all about relationship falling apart and maybe coming back together if both parties are willing to work on it this one is about really meeting someone and not the best of circumstances but becoming their friend and then becoming and then realizing hey maybe i have feelings for this person it was super cute if you like books where it's kind of like an old school house they have to fix it up and also wesley is a very sugary sweet there's a lot of depth to him um they also talk a lot about anxiety and like panic attacks in this book as well um so i enjoyed it i gave it a four out of five i did not enjoy it as much as you deserve each other i think i just like that one more because the relationship was already established and i love just kind of going into relationship the nitty-gritty of it but this one was just it was cute i think you know if you didn't like our first book which by the way i am one of the few that really love that book a lot of people don't like it i still think you would like this one it was cute i enjoyed it again a four out of five and the last book that i finished recently is the soulmate equation by christina lauren this one comes out on may 16th so again like three months early i'm sorry but christina lauren is an author duo i have read like i think this is my 10th book i've read by them which by the way makes me think is it time for an author's video of christina lauren where i talk about all of her books let me know if you want that comment below but soulmate equation is their latest one and this one follows single mom jess who is a mom to seven year old who is mom to seven-year-old juno and she just she doesn't have a lot of time for love in her life she is busy with her job she's like a statistics i always have a hard time with that word like mathematician she's really good numbers i'll just say that i can't get on board with that because i'm so terrible with that but um and she lives like kind of near her grandparents who helped raise her and are also helping you know raise her daughter um the dad of juno kind of left even before juno was born so he's had no relationship with her and just just like i don't really know but one day she figures out that there's this thing called genetic ally genetically like genetically something like that uh it's an app or it's a site it's a program that takes spit samples and they will you know get you matched up with somebody and they have different levels of match so it's very much similar to the one by john mars if you've read that that is a mystery solar but it does read like this opera that one is like all about finding your true mate or that one's all about finding your soul mate through dna pretty much which is kind of what this does if you will so you know she just does it one day she's like you know what else what else what do i got to lose and so she learns that she's actually has like a diamond mat which is like a 98 level which is really high up their match with the actual genetically's owner river who she does not get along with she sees them every day at the coffee shop and he's like always too good and just never like talks to anybody and all that she's like oh this is great so she's very you know not for this and so the company like contacts them they're like hey you know like we're not gonna force you but this would be like great marketing for us like could you guys just like maybe get to know each other and we'll pay you like 10 grand a month like there's no like strings attached just get to know each other you know if you get along and maybe have a relationship great if you don't that's okay too but we're just trying to like spread the word about this company and so you know she's like yeah of course because i mean 10 grand a month that's some good money so um she does just that and of course feelings emerge and things happen and you can guess the plot i'm not gonna lie to you a lot of romances you can see where it's coming a mile away does that make the ride any less fun no it does not i liked it it was super cute i loved how they featured you know a single mom to an amazing seven-year-old girl and how she had a relationship with her and how she was very hesitant to bring somebody in that because it's very particular with kids and i have a lot of friends that have had relationships with you know guys with kids before or women with kids and it's you know it's a hard thing to navigate because you want to do right by all parties so it was just it was cute i really enjoyed it i gave it a 4 out of 5. it's definitely like a hate to love romance that's one of my favorite tropes that is my favorite trope but it's one of my favorite tropes that christina lauren does so yeah i don't know it's not my favorite by them i have a few favorites that i just love but it's definitely up there i enjoyed it i think it's great if you like the whole kind of science scientific thing of like genetics and like discovering if you're really compatible with someone and things like that if you can trust a test or not but i liked it i thought it was super cute so yeah be on the lookout for that coming out in may they were my feelings on five upcoming romance reads that i think you should check out i enjoyed them all in each in different ways like i can't tell you right now which one is my favorite okay i can unless people leave me on vacation henry but honestly i don't have a least favor i enjoyed them all so i would recommend checking out all of these coming out soon we have some coming out we have one that's already out now we have some that are coming out next month and a few that are coming out in may so you have a lot to choose from just i know we have to wait i know you have to wait i'm sorry but i would love to hear if i persuaded you to read any of these or maybe persuaded you not to read any of these like maybe you heard me talk about it you were like oh it's not my cup of tea i would love to hear and i would love to hear also if you've actually read any of these and what your thoughts and feelings on them are either way i hope you enjoy this if you like this kind of format of recent reads where the books aren't quite out yet but you know you still get to hear my thoughts in them please let me know because i will definitely do that because i got a lot of books on that cali like i'm behind i would love to know thank you guys so much for watching and i will see you my next video bye youhello everyone today i am really like this five out of five wasn't disappointed enjoyed it a ton is twice shy by sarah hoggle which comes out april 6. so not too many weeks you have to wait for this one yay um sarah hoggle wrote where is it at it's up there um you deserve each other which i read last year and really loved was one of my favorite romance of the year it was a true hate to love romance this one's kind of similar as well as far as like the tropes with it this book we fought character named maybelle which is about as southern as they come and she works near pigeon ford is that in tennessee i think it's in tennessee i'm so sorry if it's not is that like this um kind of resort and she just really does not enjoy her life like she works this job which she hates she has these fake friends that you know mabel knows they're really not her friends they're kind of horrible and she's just like this is not a great life and so one day she gets a visitor at work and they're like hey your great-aunt violet beautiful sprawling you know big estate that was pink and beautiful is really kind of old and dilapidated and full of like hoarding kind of stuff that her aunt has um gotten inside and she also learns that there's a groundskeeper there that has a cabin named wesley and when she meets wesley the lady that informs her that her grandad died it's like oh yeah by the way she left you both 50 50 of the estate so they're like oh so they fight over what they want to do with the estate and things like that he wants to turn it into an animal sanctuary she wants to turn it into a hotel that her like this house used to be a hotel way back in the day so they kind of fight over it and basically it's a book about them fixing up this house like they have to clean it out they have to get rid of all the stuff because their aunt like bought a lot of different things like she kind of hoarded honestly and they have to clean it it's like three floors and through the course of it you know they become friends and of course you know it was first a kind of hate to friendship then a friendship to lovers kind of thing and it was cute it's a lot different from you deserve each other in my opinion where that book was all about relationship falling apart and maybe coming back together if both parties are willing to work on it this one is about really meeting someone and not the best of circumstances but becoming their friend and then becoming and then realizing hey maybe i have feelings for this person it was super cute if you like books where it's kind of like an old school house they have to fix it up and also wesley is a very sugary sweet there's a lot of depth to him um they also talk a lot about anxiety and like panic attacks in this book as well um so i enjoyed it i gave it a four out of five i did not enjoy it as much as you deserve each other i think i just like that one more because the relationship was already established and i love just kind of going into relationship the nitty-gritty of it but this one was just it was cute i think you know if you didn't like our first book which by the way i am one of the few that really love that book a lot of people don't like it i still think you would like this one it was cute i enjoyed it again a four out of five and the last book that i finished recently is the soulmate equation by christina lauren this one comes out on may 16th so again like three months early i'm sorry but christina lauren is an author duo i have read like i think this is my 10th book i've read by them which by the way makes me think is it time for an author's video of christina lauren where i talk about all of her books let me know if you want that comment below but soulmate equation is their latest one and this one follows single mom jess who is a mom to seven year old who is mom to seven-year-old juno and she just she doesn't have a lot of time for love in her life she is busy with her job she's like a statistics i always have a hard time with that word like mathematician she's really good numbers i'll just say that i can't get on board with that because i'm so terrible with that but um and she lives like kind of near her grandparents who helped raise her and are also helping you know raise her daughter um the dad of juno kind of left even before juno was born so he's had no relationship with her and just just like i don't really know but one day she figures out that there's this thing called genetic ally genetically like genetically something like that uh it's an app or it's a site it's a program that takes spit samples and they will you know get you matched up with somebody and they have different levels of match so it's very much similar to the one by john mars if you've read that that is a mystery solar but it does read like this opera that one is like all about finding your true mate or that one's all about finding your soul mate through dna pretty much which is kind of what this does if you will so you know she just does it one day she's like you know what else what else what do i got to lose and so she learns that she's actually has like a diamond mat which is like a 98 level which is really high up their match with the actual genetically's owner river who she does not get along with she sees them every day at the coffee shop and he's like always too good and just never like talks to anybody and all that she's like oh this is great so she's very you know not for this and so the company like contacts them they're like hey you know like we're not gonna force you but this would be like great marketing for us like could you guys just like maybe get to know each other and we'll pay you like 10 grand a month like there's no like strings attached just get to know each other you know if you get along and maybe have a relationship great if you don't that's okay too but we're just trying to like spread the word about this company and so you know she's like yeah of course because i mean 10 grand a month that's some good money so um she does just that and of course feelings emerge and things happen and you can guess the plot i'm not gonna lie to you a lot of romances you can see where it's coming a mile away does that make the ride any less fun no it does not i liked it it was super cute i loved how they featured you know a single mom to an amazing seven-year-old girl and how she had a relationship with her and how she was very hesitant to bring somebody in that because it's very particular with kids and i have a lot of friends that have had relationships with you know guys with kids before or women with kids and it's you know it's a hard thing to navigate because you want to do right by all parties so it was just it was cute i really enjoyed it i gave it a 4 out of 5. it's definitely like a hate to love romance that's one of my favorite tropes that is my favorite trope but it's one of my favorite tropes that christina lauren does so yeah i don't know it's not my favorite by them i have a few favorites that i just love but it's definitely up there i enjoyed it i think it's great if you like the whole kind of science scientific thing of like genetics and like discovering if you're really compatible with someone and things like that if you can trust a test or not but i liked it i thought it was super cute so yeah be on the lookout for that coming out in may they were my feelings on five upcoming romance reads that i think you should check out i enjoyed them all in each in different ways like i can't tell you right now which one is my favorite okay i can unless people leave me on vacation henry but honestly i don't have a least favor i enjoyed them all so i would recommend checking out all of these coming out soon we have some coming out we have one that's already out now we have some that are coming out next month and a few that are coming out in may so you have a lot to choose from just i know we have to wait i know you have to wait i'm sorry but i would love to hear if i persuaded you to read any of these or maybe persuaded you not to read any of these like maybe you heard me talk about it you were like oh it's not my cup of tea i would love to hear and i would love to hear also if you've actually read any of these and what your thoughts and feelings on them are either way i hope you enjoy this if you like this kind of format of recent reads where the books aren't quite out yet but you know you still get to hear my thoughts in them please let me know because i will definitely do that because i got a lot of books on that cali like i'm behind i would love to know thank you guys so much for watching and i will see you my next video bye you\n"
