The Enthusiastic Pilot: A Cautionary Tale of USB Kill Sticks

Hey what's up guys, Keaton the pilot here, and you guys asked me so many times to get it and I finally got it. I got the USB kill stick. It's here, we're about to break some stuff, let's check it out. So yeah, guys, this right here is the USB kill stick. This is it, basically, if you guys don't know what this is, you plug this into anything with a USB port and it's gonna kill the thing. People have done this with computers, boring Xboxes, PS4s, boring. So what are we gonna do? My car has a USB port. So let's plug it in and see what happens.

Let's go. Guys, we're in my car. Honestly, I'm kinda scared just because this could break my car, and that's why we're at the Honda dealership right now. I drive a Ferrari, I put a bunch of stickers all over it. So if it does break, they can fix it, and I don't have to do anything.

What I'm thinking is, once I plug this in, it'll take out the electrical system 'cause all cars have computers. So it should just take it out, and I might not actually have a car. Let's just start this thing up, I'm pretty scared. (engine turns on) Beautiful, she sounds so fast! Alright, so check this out. My car actually has a USB port, you can see right here this is legit a USB port. It's sticking out and it's plugged in. Now, I was gonna use one of these cigarette outlets, if you guys wanna check this out, I'll leave a link down below.

This thing is actually pretty sweet. You get three cigarette outlets, four USB ports, they're super fast. This is my favorite, this is what I usually use. But we're gonna be plugging this in directly into the car. So here's the USB kill stick. Taking the top off. If it kills my car, it's cool, but like, don't kill the girl, I love this car so much.

Here we go, USB kill stick. Oh, I'm scared. You can see. We good, are we good, are we good to go? Nothing is happening right now. I think the computer in my car is okay, I don't really know, I'm gonna leave this plugged in for a few minutes. It's 1:11 right now, one, one, one, I can do that with my hand.

I'm gonna let this sit for five minutes with the car on and we're gonna see what happens. -12 seconds later. The car is on, it's been good. Turn it on, turn it off. Alright, legit there, that took a lot longer than usual to start. I'm gonna pull that out. Honestly, the car is fine, I don't know if I trust it right now.

That like, straight up guys, that took a lot longer to catch and start than usual. And that guy keeps looking at me, I'm gonna fight you sir, I'm gonna fight you. Alright guys, so I guess the only thing left for us to do is actually try this out. We'll plug this into the USB port here. Start the car on up. (buttons beep) Guys, it actually worked. Look, it says bad USB device.

Before, I used to be able to charge my phone, we'll try to charge my iPhone here. This used to work, but now it doesn't. So what's going on? Let me know in the comments what you guys think is going on. Is this some kind of glitch or is there something more to it?

I'm not sure what's happening right now, but I'm gonna keep trying until we figure out why this is working and then why it's not.
