the most feared man and no prep would you agree with that yeah pretty much yeah you've won a lot of races in the last year year and a forunate very fortunate we got a great crew Gary my my co-owner he's he's he's just a he's awesome racing is all about consistency and you guys always have the same guys that really know how to make this car work no pre is it's its own beast and it's it changes literally twice as much pool on the track what did you do before no prep racing what kind of racing were you on to Grudge race you know just Whoever Whenever for a little bit of money here was that with your old car how long did you race that before we started seeing you in like Oklahoma and Texas for 25 years we actually had back in back in 01 we had our own street car list and we fastest car street legal car in Houston for years and when we first met you you had a third gen with a turbo setup in it and this is a whole different car same motor though same motor transmission dve line and all that stuff can you just recently upgraded the turbos yeah but we don't really need the bigger turbos for no that that was regr okay I mean actually we probably need smaller turbos how big were the previous turos we've gone from 94s to 98 and now we're 106s 10 six why do you know prep race what got you into this what was the addiction drad racing is what we do it's what we always it's been our passion but just not enough action you know you beat a certain guy and you beat the fastest guy out there and nobody else Rel we get maybe three four five Grudge races a year you got to work for it too we we go to a no prep race you're going to get that in the first race yeah if you pulled up in here and you had to negotiate all your races you're not going to get many races with this car with the track Rec right now lucky to get one you know how many races we won this year I've lost count of I think we've won 13 NOS really since you started our racing or this year this year Jesus it hasn't been without uh without drama this year though it's been a tough battle looks like we didn't buy a show car man we bought a car to race Rubble wall here and there a little bit you know and you you've been doing some filming this year I believe how's that been going going good we ran uh can't say that coming R KY Street Mississippi and I think the uh the American outs live race that we won it'll be airing on December 5th 75 green5 from One race One race have you ever imagine when you're grge racing that you could come to a track take home 75 grand in one weekend that's that's crazy no I never never dreamed it everyone keeps chasing the biggest pot for the poest race it's good for you right and the competition is getting faster dude they we're like you know early in the year we would just set a conservative tune up and just go a to be every now they're like hey dude they're right there and sure enough Kayla got us she got us cuz we were just too soft Chad he's a smart guy he wants to go a every time Chad she going to catch us so she caught us he's like okay that ain't ever happening in the beginning of the year in part of this year you got the promot showing up too so what what have you done about that you got like these big fiberglass from all the Corvettes and sumers and whatever sh up you know I don't know why it really matters if they would just I wish they would let the promods run with us just do what they did to us put weight on promod puts 2800 on you know what's the difference you got a little Advantage It's Better Built car and whatnot but we never red on the track since we're filming what is it like going down a no prep track surface compared to like a prep track when we first started out it was scary as hell cuz I mean we didn't know we didn't know what to do with our combination we just go out there and try and blow the tires off slide sideways wow what do we do but after we got a CL out it's really no different it's just the biging you just got to be really careful we asked us a lot of racers and they always tell us they're just racing themselves but who are the no prep Racers out there that you run into that you hope not to line up against too early which ones are you kind of worried about being door door you know it's been working so far that's for sure I think it was in Texas somewhere you're about to race Kai Kelly and I asked you how it's going to go what did you say break train donkey again break train donkey Gap what is it like to drive ask that I've done it so much I don't even know how to describe it it's just it is what it is just pulled up let go of that button it feels like somebody ran in the back it just feels like you've been rear ended and your instinct just just let off can't have you ever seen this thing outside of
